This restaurant is nestled in a shopping center and it has major local diner vibes going on. The prices are lower than most diners in the area, and the wait staff were nice and attentive. The restaurant was large, having a section for private dinners. The restroom wasn't clean and they do have high chairs for the kiddos. As for the food, I had a breakfast special. The French toast could have been on a little longer, and the iced tea had a serious watery taste, but the rest of the food was good. Will I come back? Ok, how is this quiet little hole in the wall, not 5 stars? My GF and I stopped in to grab breakfast and were pleasantly surprised! It was cool to see a Hawaiian flare on the menu with spam and fried rice. I went with the Loco Moco and it was killer! I upgraded with onions and fried rice and it was GREAT! When I walked in the restaurant I felt like it wasn't a good idea to eat here, I decided to sit down anyway and order my food. The waitress was nice overall, When I got my food it looked ok. I got a quarter pounder and when they brought it out the cheese wasn't even fully melted. It looked like they just threw the cheese on the hamburger and took it out. Don't even get me started on the fries! The fries tasted like fucking plastic!? The fries had literally had no salt at all. And when I tried to put a condiment on my burger the mustard was chunky and looked disgusting and old! The food was so bad we didn't even want to pay, we were thinking of just leaving and not looking back, not even paying for the food. A few hours later of sadly paying which was expensive, it was $155 dollars for 6 people but mind you the food is below prison food. After I ate there I felt unsatisfied and still felt hungry somehow. And my stomach felt disgusting, bloated, and now I think I have food poisoning from the pain coming from my stomach. I will never, ever, in my 18 years of living on this earth to eat here again and I would never recommend this, not even to my worst of enemies. Went today to enjoy a nice meal out But was sadly disappointed with the hospital food they decide to call food. Inmates in prison are getting better food then the nastiness they tried to feed us today. Everything looked as if it was just frozen and warmed up we tried the chicken sandwich and a roast beef sandwich. The patty for the chicken sandwich look like an orange that someone sat on. We decided to not pay because we couldn't get past the 1st bite of food. The owner serves food unfit for animals let alone people. Prices are also not worth it for the disgusting $hit being served here. I can recall catching the owner trimming her toenails at the counter while watching television. Who would be that disgusting to do that in a restaurant? Tried this local business for breakfast. The breakfast special is $9.99 it has two eggs, two bacon, two sausage and choice of pancakes or French toast. Regular style dinner breakfast nothing out of the ordinary. The food was good and portions were just right. They provide good customer service, as they are attentive and helpful. This place is definitely not what it used to be when my dad and I would come here 25 years ago for breakfast as a kid. The building could really use a remodel, but nice to know local clubs still meet there after all these years. The menu is pretty much the same as it was when I was a kid as well. Came here for brunch with my fiancée today (Saturday 11am). They were moderately busy with what looked like a regular crowd. Service was prompt and friendly. She got the breakfast special and I got the $8.95 corned beef hash combo. I tried to substitute the toast for some rice, but apparently you can only sub the hash for rice? This place is a cute little neighborhood greasy spoon. We were the only ones in the place when we went, but the food was good, hot and fresh. The service was prompt and friendly. I ordered a BLT and then had the gal put a fried egg on top. It was delicious and my husband had a nice burger. This place has not changed in about 30-40 years, but it is genuine comfort food that reminds you of growing up with Grandma's bacon and eggs. The coffee is tasty and the prices are great. If you are in the area and want a no frills diner experience, you should definitely check out the place. I read other reviews first to ensure I am not carping. Food is slightly better than Mac (yes MacDonald), coffee is poorer than supermarket wholesale brand but service is good! This place is decent. It's not well advertised; I only know of it because I saw it, not because I read about it or heard of it through word of mouth. It's right next door to Grocery Outlet. The reason to come here is for the diner setting. I felt welcome, and enjoyed the atmosphere. I could hear the chefs frying in the back, I could see plenty of bar seating from my booth, and the waiters and waitresses were from the elder crowd (i.e. no college students). The food was your typical American food, and it was good, though nothing spectacular. Prices were cheap enough. If you want to eat over a nice conversation with a good friend, come here. So when the waitress offered cottage cheese and avocado as my side I said okay. Got the bill and was charged 2.85 cents for both. No deduction for hash browns or toast. But a charge ! Ive never had an omelet with processed American cheese in it either. Wtf. Won't ever be back. If i could give this place a zero stars I would. It's not my favorite breakfast place in Marina, but it's a good spot to eat. usually fairly quiet and laid back. Lunch and dinner menus are good. Standard American style menu but with twists like teriyaki. They have my favorite burger in Marina hands down.
