Chef Steven is an accomplished chef from SF who decided to open a small restaurant in Marina, and we are so lucky he did! We love his pasta dishes, risotto, ribeye steak and filet mignon. The sauces and flavors blend perfectly; the steaks are tender and juicy; and nothing beats pasta made in-house! You can taste the freshness in the ingredients he cooks with, and we learned that everything is made in-house from the rolls and hamburger buns to the pasta. You can taste the difference! We also enjoyed his egg drop and wonton soups. So good! Annie always greets you with a smile, and we noticed she knew many customers by name. Just a note that good food is not fast food! If you are in a hurry, you may want to call in your order beforehand. So happy to support this small local business that offers Chef Steven's culinary talents and delicious dishes to the community!

Located in a house converted to a restaurant. It has its own small parking lot and street parking available. Good selection of food items to choose from and I liked that they asked if we wanted the fish/oyster sauce or not. It has been a long time since I had really good Chinese food and this place checked that box. It was all good. We had the family meal C and swapped out the prawns for another item with no issues. Quality and flavor of the food was excellent and they also have boba available. I would highly recommend this place and plan on eating there again.

We have waited two years (almost to the day!) to come back to see Annie and her sweet husband! The food is SO good that we often reminisce and wish we lived closer! Any time we are in town, this is the very first place we come to eat. Annie's husband is a highly accomplished chef who left the big city to open this quaint lil gem of a restaurant. Give it a try - you won't be disappointed!

A great family owned restaurant that serves great food and service. Annie and her husband are delightful. I ate here with my parents a while ago (I believe it was Christmas) and even they approve of this place! My mom has dietary restrictions and Annie was helpful with ensuring and modifying the dishes to my mom's needs. We've also ordered take out from here and although nothing beats freshly made food, it was still great! The quality goes above and beyond just the food- the service makes you feel at home and welcomed. Just a heads up, there is very limited seating due to it being a fairly small building. I'm not sure how busy it usually gets as I usually see mostly people doing take out but do plan accordingly especially with a group that's bigger than 4!

First time eating here I got the fish and chips which was amazing! I brought my wife back to try the food here with me and hands down the second time was perfection! Salmon plate was outstanding, delicious and cooked to perfection. The fried rice and egg drop soup were also very good. The lady and chef were so polite and welcoming. Terrific food portions. Definitely recommend this spot! 10/10

I had heard about Annie's House a few months ago and had to give it a go. I called in my order of shrimp fried rice, salt & pepper shrimp & sweet n sour shrimp. I had walked into the restaurant a lil early. Everything was very clean and nicely decorated. I noticed several framed articles, well as a plaque, acknowledging the chef for his outstanding work. Chef asked me to try the salt & pepper shrimp. I did. It was amazing! The best I've ever had. It's seasoned perfectly. You have to like pepper tho. I tasted a hint of honey in the batter. Hot and very delicious. Chef also shared with me a coveted photo album of his many amazing culinary accomplishments during his culinary competitions. Not only is he an amazing chef, he also had designed intricate ice sculptures. In all of the photos, his food was beautifully displayed with gorgeous ice sculptures. Once home, we dove right into the food. The fried rice was very tasty and didn't lack shrimp. There were lots of plump succulent shrimp. The sweet & sour shrimp was packaged separately from the sauce to keep the shrimp crispy. We coated our shrimp with the sauce on our plate. Absolutely delicious. There was a perfect balance in the sweet n sour flavors. Everything was made to perfection. I can totally appreciate all of master chef's knowledge and preparation of his food. Thank you Annie for your wonderful hospitality. I truly appreciated talking to you and hearing of all you and your husband's(master chef Stephen Lo) accomplishments and awards. I totally recommend this restaurant in everything it has to offer. I will totally come back as soon as I can. Especially, since chef told me that I need to try the fried chicken! I honestly cannot wait.

I ordered to go for my grandma. The owner is so kind. This is a tiny little restaurant, cozy. Our food was delicious. We ordered soup, fried rice, chow mein etc. I would definitely recommend Annie's House!

I was traveling through and wanted to find some good takeout. Once I arrived, I decided it would be nice to eat there as opposed to taking it back to my hotel for a change in the scenery. I'm happy that I did. The service was amazing and very friendly. I ordered the sesame chicken with chow mien as a side and pot stickers as an appetizer. When the pot stickers came out, they also brought me a complimentary order of tempura veggies. The pot stickers were some of the best I've ever had! As a pilot, I've tried them all over the world and I can say that with confidence. The sesame chicken was good, and not made with the chicken scraps that I've had at other places, and the chow mien was also very good. It was a little different as it appeared to be a little pan fried, but that added texture that was welcome. The tempura veggies were also good. I had a Thai iced tea with boba to drink that was also exceptional. All in all, I would recommend anyone in the area to stop by and see for yourself.

The noodles were fresh, not clumpy at all, and very enjoyable to eat. I also asked for extra beef, and they definitely did not skimp on the portions, which was a huge plus. The spring rolls were another standout fresh, tightly rolled, and well-made. My only small criticism is that I wish the peanut sauce had a little more flavor and punch to it. Despite the restaurant being very busy, the service was efficient and the staff stayed friendly and attentive throughout. The ambiance is on the smaller side, but the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Overall, a great experience and I'll definitely be coming back!

Starting with the yellow curry, this was one of the best dishes we ordered along with the soup! The curry had great flavor from the cumin and turmeric curry paste, and came with potatoes, carrots, yellow onions, and chicken. The sauce was rich, flavorful, and perfect with a side of rice to soak everything up. Portion size was generous enough to share as well. The only downside was that the chicken was unfortunately a bit dry. The BBQ beef was the biggest disappointment in my opinion. The beef was marinated with lemongrass and black pepper and had a nice grilled flavor, but the meat itself was very dry and not worth ordering again. The pad Thai was decent overall. It came with Thai rice noodles, stir-fried eggs, bean sprouts, onions, and sauce, and we ordered it with steak. The flavor was almost there and still enjoyable, but the dish leaned on the dry side which held it back a bit. Service was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. The ambiance was clean, quiet, and peaceful, exactly the relaxing atmosphere you would expect from a Thai restaurant.

Oh and the shrimp are HUGE I also heard good things about their pho. I noticed other tables around us ordered their different noodle dishes. Their drinks were yummy and I was pleasantly surprised with their options and quality of ingredients for a non Milk Tea specific establishment. The 2 women working the front were very nice & helpful. They were moving nonstop to take orders, serve tables, ring up guest, clean tables and also make drinks. The restaurant has 10-15 tables for seating and plenty of parking outside. The last point that will keep me coming back is the price. While other restaurants push towards $20 plates, QQ does a great job at keeping the menu affordable for all ages I'm sad I haven't tried this restaurant sooner.

It opened, closed abruptly and then closed again after having very spotty service. I would often call the Monterey Jacks to see what was going on with the Aptos store. When I called to find out why the Aptos location closed again without notice, it was like I was majorly inconveniencing them. Maybe, thank you for your loyalty. I literally ate their food at least 4 times a week. And I will go to the Monterey store to get those little dumplings I love so much. The beef noodle soup was mostly soy sauce based, not too salty, just the right amount of savoring. The meat was not beef shank, but a leaner cut with less connective tissue so don't expect any chewy tendons. And the noodles were cooked with just the right chew. XLB was only okay. Not terrible but not something I would order again. Overall decent, and for Monterey standards definitely a 4 out of 5.
