Their raspberry tea was also just sooooo good. I was happy to take it to go and drink on my walk along the beach. Highly recommend. This is a perfect brunch spot - or a little dessert spot for some delicious baklava- it was so good that it was consumed in seconds. But if you're expecting a mini Rosine's or a lot of the same menu items from their restaurant, you won't find that here. But it still has the same 'Rosine's touch' as their downtown restaurant. What is the Rosine's touch? Attention to service. Downtown, any server will stop to handle requests and the servers provide a welcoming environment. At Caffe by Rosine's in Sand City, you order at the counter but they have a server (or busser?) at the door watching for anything a customer might need. Being in a wheelchair, that extra touch was appreciated. My mom had the breakfast sandwich, which came out piping hot and she said the orange juice was good. I had the veggie sandwich, I don't know what it's called on the menu but the bread was soft and fresh. I loved the cookie butter latte. They do coffee like a serious coffee spot! I'll be back to try some other variations. We had cake to go and we'll be back soon and often. Every seat was filled when we left at 2 pm so it's a popular place. Good food, great drinks but the friendly staff is the icing on the cake.

The cashier packaged everything carefully and provided napkins and forks. The muffins were big, fat and hefty sized. The carrot cake muffin was moist but not so much that it fell apart. So darn good. The frosting was heavenly, not too sweet and just the prefect consistency. I devoured that right away in the car. While I was inhaling the muffin, Hubs scarfed down the banana cream pie slice. The cookies were nice "biggish" size. These cookies were moist, which I prefer over crisp crunchy ones. Grandma Dave's PB was one of the best PB cookies I've ever had. The owners themselves are the ones serving customers, and they are incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. They truly make you feel at home and go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. The food is always fresh, delicious, and comes out quickly. My favorite dish is the chilaquiles, and I highly recommend them! The restaurant is always clean, including the restrooms, which is something I really appreciate. If you're looking for a family-owned restaurant with amazing food and genuinely wonderful service, The Village is definitely worth visiting.
