Two friends and I met for lunch at Marinara's and it was simply delightful. The seats/booths were comfortable and the tables were roomy. Our waitress was friendly and even anticipated our needs. All of our meals were delicious. No complaints here. I had the Bistro salad which was amazing. The dressing was a white balsamic balanced properly with honey and lemon. The salad itself was fresh and chock full of all good stuff that makes a salad special. I also had to have a slice of pizza because we could smell and see the hot pizzas as we walked inside. And I'm so glad I did. The cheesy pizza was excellent. No greasy pizza here. One friend had a Caesar salad topped with grilled shrimp. The other friend had eggplant parm with a side of spaghetti. It was my first time coming to Marinara this week, and I will be coming back! The menu has so many options, but I tried the Grilled chicken caesar wrap. It was made fresh and it was a 10/10. The size was filling and it was perfectly coated with the dressing. The pizza slices as well were really good. Next time I'll definitely be trying the buffalo chicken slice. I recently decided to try Marinara in Hewlett after hearing some mixed reviews. The restaurant itself has a large shared parking lot, which is convenient, and there's plenty of seating, so it wasn't hard to find a table. The pizza slice looked good at first glance, but unfortunately, it was very doughy and lacked the crispiness I was hoping for. The marinara sauce they use didn't have much flavor--it was surprisingly bland, and I could only taste the cheese, which seemed unusual for a pizza slice. I expected more balance in the flavors. The chicken roll was a decent portion, but the way it was prepared was different from what I'm used to at other pizzerias. Instead of the traditional dough-wrapped chicken, it was more like a chicken wrap with a thinner, mbaked dough, which might appeal to some, but it wasn't quite what I expected. Stopped in one Thursday around 5:30pm with a group. The glass case in front was full of the most appetizing pizzas, garlic knots, and dishes. We were seated promptly and served bread baskets; delicious, especially the bread sticks, seasoned with oil (maybe butter) and spices. The service was excellent; quick and courteous. I had the eggplant parmigiana. Although good, I wished that they would have breaded the eggplant, the way my mother used to make. But it was absolutely delicious, smothered with sauce and melted mozzarella. The marinara sauce on the side of penne that came with the eggplant parmigiana platter I ordered (it's $1.50 extra if you choose it over the pomodoro) was spectacular; so savory and rich. Everyone in the group ordered something different and it all looked amazing. The Rigatoni Campania looked awesome - I'll probably order that the next time I go. The crust isn't super thick and the pizza was delicious! Living in FL we were so excited to have great pizza. Everyone we came in contact was super friendly and helpful. Why would I drive here all the way from The Bronx? Because nowhere in The Bronx can I get low-carb cauliflower pizza that would give any regular flour-crusted pizza a run for its money. I can't find cauliflower pizza anywhere else in fact. My go-to is the chicken marsala style. I've been coming to Marinara for pizza/pasta/etc for well over 20 years. It has been a staple in Hewlett since I was a child and the food continues to be excellent. It's a great choice to have a nice, low-key dinner with friends or family. The service has improved over the years, though I will admit it is not nearly as crowded as it used to be when I was in elementary school and middle school. The waiters are usually quite nice and the food is served in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is always clean. I will also mention that some of their employees have been working there for YEARS, which shows they are treated well by the ownership. The pizza is always fantastic. You'll never go wrong with a regular pie/slice. I also love their baked ziti pizza (holy COW) and their salad pizza is also popular among members of my family. Their bar pie is also excellent. The salads are okay. I have always enjoyed their pasta dishes. The sauces are usually very good, however sometimes the garlic sauce might contain too much garlic (just request they water it down a little bit if you are concerned about it). Prices are reasonable when taking into account inflation and the fact that they're in a heavily-taxed area. read more

I ordered from here for the first time and I paid for delivery to my house. I paid the $3 delivery fee and a $7 tip (based on the total of my order). After the order was placed online, I got a call a few minutes later that my house was out of the delivery range so they asked if I wanted to cancel or just pickup. I decided to pickup and loaded my toddler and baby into the car and drove over there. I asked the girl on the phone if she could cancel the delivery charge and tip ($10) because im picking up and she asked why???? I said "because you're not delivering it and I have to come get it?" Not sure why that's confusing but she said okay. It was rush hour in my area getting there so that was my first annoyance and then when I got there, I double checked with the cashier to make sure they canceled the delivery charge and tip and he said it will show up on my bill as a refund. What do you know- I just got my credit card bill and they never refunded me! I double checked my email receipt was $69 including the delivery fee and tip and on my CC bill was $69, so they never refunded me. It's not the $10 that annoys me as much as the fact that they told me they were doing it and I think they just never had the intention of doing it. If you have young kids, you know how annoying it is to bring 2 little ones around, in and out of car seats and during rush hour so to have me still pay for delivery and tip after actually just pickup up is superrrrr annoying. Going to try to dispute this but either way, I will never be going there again. read more

I'm giving them two stars because of pricing. I ordered from their online menu, going by what prices show on the menu. The girl that took my order gave a total over the phone off $55 and change. When my husband went to pick up the food they charged him $70.33! Called to ask about this and was told their prices have not been updated online - so why did Felicia give me a total to reflect those prices? Mistakes happen which I would've been fine with waiting but when I kept getting accused that turned me off. The owner standing near just looking without saying crap to his worker. If your looking for quality, reasonable pricing this is not your place. Look elsewhere. We had some friends and family over and we ordered from here after looking at the reviews. What a disappointment! The pizza pies were soggy, and cheese smelled like dirty used sneakers. The size of the pie was small! Really look at the pies and the slices they are small by design. And they are the most expensive in the area. We had a few plates of food as well and they were also a disappointment and expensive. Not only they were half full but when we called the store to complain they simply placed us on hold ad never came back on. Customer service zero. Management needs major training as to how to care of customers. I think this place has forgotten that we the customers are the ones need to be happy in order to keep coming back. Nice pizzeria with a good staff. Just your average Long Island pizzeria. They have a large selection of slices behind the glass counter when you first walk in. I like their pizza a lot! It's very tasteful and every bite reminds me of how lucky I am to be in NY where we have the BEST pizza! You can order pizza for take out, or sit down for a slice or two or you can come in and eat in the dining room. They do a wonderful job with their pasta dishes and entrees.
