Service was ok but when I politely asked if specific oil ( that I'm allergic too ) is used , all I got was a half head shake with no eye contact and no words. A small exchange of words to confirm would have been welcomed. Slices are very thin which I like, the Margherita slice was ok but really just tasted like a regular slice with Parmesan. The regular slice was not very good, not in flavor, not in texture and the tip was burnt and not appealing. read more

Very straight forward pizzeria in LBNY. I have been exploring a lot more spots around LB due to my girlfriend living there. We wanted to pick up a pizza nearby and wanted to try a new spot since I have yet to try a good pizza spot in Long Beach. I am so happy I gave Genovas a try. The pizza was extremely fresh and prepared una timely matter. Along with all these positive aspects, it was simply delicious and will be my go to spot in LB for pizza. If I could give zero stars I would. This place borderline scammed us. We were going to a fire works show and it was clear from the delivery times listed on all the other Long Beach pizza places that we would be waiting an hour at least. These a-holes intentionally kept their listed delivery times low and on the phone promised delivery in 45 minutes or less. Over an hour later and surprise surprise no pizza. We called back to check the status and these a-holes had the nerve to hang up on us over and over or just put us never ending hold without a word. As I'm writing this still no pizza and it's almost been two hours. They knew that there was no way they could keep their promised delivery time and lied directly to our faces. They could have pizza so good it cured cancer and I would never order from these dishonest, scamming a-holes ever again. read more

I wanted to give this new Pizza restaurant a try. I ordered zucchni sticks, and minestrone. Soup. The soup was very watery, salty, tasteless and mostly broth, very few beans, noodles and tiny bits of vegetables. Unable to eat this soup. The zucchinni sticks taste like they were the frozen type. This place is terrible. We contacted the restaurant because a roach was found in the chicken roll. The owner then proceeded to ask for proof (which we provided) and then stated he was going to send someone to pick up all the meals we ordered and that he'll only give us a 50% refund because 1 out of 6 of the meals were taken. He stated he wanted all the food back to "make sure there isn't more bugs in the other food". I'm also not sure exactly who we were speaking to but they said they were the owner but instead of taking accountability for their establishment, he then went on to tell us that he was going to get the "pizza guy" in trouble which seemed very unprofessional. Not only is this place not sanitary but the customer service is terrible. After a long debate with the owner and a worker coming to pick up the food, they did end up giving us the refund. read more

My favorite was the sauce, sometimes I get turned off from local pizza places when the sauce is too acidic but theirs was perfect. I could not decide to hit two, three or four stars. This place has the best food in Long Beach. I'm so sad that I had such a bad experience tonight. The pasta was delivered upside down in the bag shown in the photo. The sauce everywhere. But the sauce is so good. It's so good! This place makes the best sauce in Long island so I didn't want to return it. I didn't want to complain. Then I opened the salad. The menu says Romaine lettuce with tomatoes, onions and "Mounds" of Gorgonzola. I don't know if I would call this "Mounds" of Gorgonzola. I would call this Minimal Gorgonzola. Where did the addition of almonds come from? More almonds than cheese!!? My children are allergic to nuts and the salad came with sliced almonds on it. Oh and by the way they did not deliver the salad dressing. I called the place, asked them to come and pick up the salad I put it outside and waited for their arrival. An hour later I called the restaurant again and asked when they were coming to get the salad? The girl asked me if I would like another Gorgonzola salad. If I had not called I don't think anybody would've done anything. I told her no I do not want another salad. I want my money because you sent nuts to my house and my children are allergic to nuts. She told me to hold on she came back. She told me she was going to credit me for the salad. Credit me?! What if I don't want to order food from a place that sends nuts to my home. And I won't even go into detail about a few weeks ago when I ordered a salad and they sent me Kalamata olives that had pits in them but that's another review... I figured everyone makes mistakes right? Again... the food is so good here!!! She said hold on. Came back and stated that the manager was going to credit me for the salad. No way! I said I want to talk to the manager. She said the manager is not here and started laughing. I asked her what is so funny? And she said "oh nothing" and continue to laugh and I said do you think the fact that you sent a salad with nuts to my house is funny? It's funny that my children could die that's funny? I said oh the manager isn't there? What did you call him at home? Suddenly the manager answered the phone.. what the heck is going on here? He asked me if I ate the food? WHAT? They came and took the salad. The guy I gave a nice tip to who delivered my food upside down came here and took it away. I hope the saucy bag breaks open in the back of his car! read more
