Another terrific Santa Monica park. They have a good size parking lot, baseball fields, a skateboard park and indoor activities you can sign up for online. Their playground is small, but fenced in and shady. I just wish the play structure was more age appropriate for young toddlers. My son is 1.5 year old and I found the play structure to be too dangerous for him to try and climb by himself.

I really like the theme of this park. Feels like a great place to bring kids from out of town. And toddlers doing imaginary play. I forgot to track whether or not they had disability access but I believe they did.

This is a great local park! I'm not sure what qualifies a park to be great, but I'll list a couple of highlights and reason why I like it: Parking lot + street parking available Baseball field Fun Clean with few or no vagrants Fun Tennis Courts Fun Organized Activities & Sports Fun Dog Friendly Fun Community Garden Fun Basketball Courts Fun Benches & BBQ Fun How can you argue with all those reasons and more? I'm a big fan of the public parks and rec facilities in Santa Monica. This park is one of many, but it's one of the more isolated facilities and has enough activities to keep you or your kids/loved ones occupied. Support our parks!

Very nice and clean my grandson's soccer team plays there.great for picnics and letting the kids run around

They don't close at 11p as they say on here. They actually close at 8pm. No worries though this is a great little park that is quiet and safe for families and kids. The city just spen alot of money to tear out all the old play ground equipment and put in whole new set of equipment. The park is equiped with the following: 1) Swings 2) Wading Pool 3) Jungle Gym 4) Climbing Wall 5) Picnic Area 6) Basketball Court 7) Horse Shoe Area 8) Two Baseball fields 9) City employee always on duty as long as the park is open 10) Men and Women restrooms 11) Pre-School during the school year. 12) BBQ area Great little park!!!!! One of the great things is that the coty employees are very nice and allow failies to borrow equipment sich as basketballs, soccor balls etc.. They also have water for anyone who needs it too. Parking is always easy and I have never had an issue. GO AND HAVE FUN!!!!

Parking was a breeze. The park has an indoor room you can reserve if you plan far enough ahead, but the outdoor tables are first come first served. Felix's parents claimed a couple tables and brought two of their own, creating a sizable shady party space right next to the playground. I think the whole area was surrounded by a fence, so none of the pre-school age children could easily wander off. My boys had a blast playing in the sand and on the cute structure. There was also a little set-up for puppet shows, and all the kids kept going over there and pretending to buy and sell ice cream. I live too far from Santa Monica to make much use of Joslyn Park, but I know a good park when I see one. I'd recommend this place if you have young children, whether for party time or just a relaxing hour of play.

There's a sand area but most of the playground has the bouncy ground. There are picnic tables and benches. The park is really spacious with a wide range of playground equipment made for wheelchairs and with disabilities. It has a toddler area tactile and musical playground equipment. There's a zip line. There's a lot of shaded areas. There's a boat, space ship, tunnel, slides, rolling metal slide, balance beams shaped like balls, and so much more. It's a super inclusive playground with a diverse group of patrons as well. The bad: The parking lot had some cars that looked like people were living out of their car. There was a pee stench at the entrance. Toward the toddler area there was a guy smoking weed. The interesting: It has a LA theme with references to the observatory, freeway and more.

This makes it frustrating when it's crowded, and there are designated lanes for medium-fast swimmers, but they're taken up by slow/beginner swimmers. Had to wait around for 10 minutes until there was space. Needs to be a better of way of controlling/managing the lanes so that different swim levels can swim without the pool being completely overrun by slow swimmers, making it harder for other levels to enjoy the pool space.
