Two years ago when I went searching for a loan, my credit was less than good. The Lian officer I…read morehappened to speak with gave me her assurance she could assist me. Needless to say Rasheeda was able to get my request for a loan approved. The interest rate was a little too high for my liking but I needed the funds. Out of two years, I had one late payment due to a miscalculation but I was offered a payment deferment and late fee waiver. So instead of the loan being paid off September of 2017 it'd be October of 2017. I worked super hard too get the loan paid off so my budget could loosen some. I even reapplied for a debt Consolidation loan and was requested I needed a cosigner because my income dropped 272.00. I was told the cosigner as ling as their income was verified and not an abundance of late payments I could use him. I felt as if I was jumping thru hoops. I did get a cosigner and he was approved, I received the call about how the monies would be disbursed and when. So I'm thinking ok I can breathe only to be told that my cosigner had to be a resident of my address. I said I wasn't told that and if I had a cosigner in my home I wouldn't need a cosigner. So I was declined the loan. Pissed is an understatement. My on time payments over the past 2 years meant nothing. I was so disappointed I reached out to my original loan officer Rasheeda she'd moved to an office outside of Fayetteville, NC. She still processed to do her due diligence to help me. She educated me that the young lady that was assisting me was new and wasn't aware of all policies. I paid the loan off on time in October. I checked online to make sure it had a zero balance to find out I had 19.19 left. So I paid it online. I checked a few days later to find a balance of 5.19 left for an NSF fee. I paid it. My gut instinct said to contact the branch manager. He advised me that he'd do a write off of the 5.19. I was told it wouldn't affect my credit score and he'd send me a paid off agreement in the mail but I could pick it up. I said he could mail it. 48 hours later and my mail person had run and no agreement. So I'm calling this branch again for an explanation or I'll just pick it up only to be told that I had a 15 day hold because I didn't pay it off with guaranteed payment a money order or cash I could verify that the monies were taken from my bank account. I'm livid! The branch manager failed to advise me of that when I made that final payment? I was already pissed about the fee I wasn't advised of and now this. The customer service and lack of knowledge of the services had my blood pressure high for a week at least. Well My agreement release date is the 21st of October. I'm waiting but I am so disappointed in the services here. Rasheeda was located at the Whiteville office last I spoke with her but I wouldn't recommend this branch, Fayetteville. My final payment at this office has left me with an overall bad experience. This location made the overall services appear shady. Proceed with Caution. I forgot to mention I made that final payment on October 3rd and it's now October 15th.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this institution. I applied for a loan and was…read moreinitially told that I had been approved. However, after I went to the office, I was informed that they could not provide the loan because two of my summer payments were lower than usual. I explained that I am a teacher who receives a salary throughout the entire year, including the summer. Those two payments were temporarily lower because I had been sick during the school year; they did not represent a permanent reduction in my regular salary. Unfortunately, the staff did not properly consider or verify my explanation. What makes the situation even more frustrating is that they had already made a hard inquiry on my credit report. I had also paid off a previous loan with this institution just one week earlier, demonstrating my reliability and positive payment history. They should have reviewed and clarified my income situation before approving the application and affecting my credit score. My advice to other applicants is to bring your recent pay stubs and ask the institution to verify your income before allowing it to make a hard inquiry on your credit report. This experience was frustrating, inconvenient, and handled poorly.
