However, when you need to gain a service for something out of the normal realm of standard salesmanship, but yet find that what you want becomes problematic with just about everyone involved in the business - you have to especially thank the one place that catered to your requirements. Such is the case with thanking the staff at Woodhaven Tile and Stone Design with this review. I really felt the need to sit down and write a review of my extra pleasant experience with this business for my needs. I had required tiles be cut to replace tiles on the bottom two rows after a bathroom shower pan had been replaced which is a common problem of earlier built homes. I did not want to re-tile the entire shower walls, but wanted to have replacement matching design tiles. I did so, but also needed to get it to the right size as the original tiles, which I could put into place without the need for an installer. I initially started calling around to the tile businesses' in my locale about having them cut to size for some fee. I located five places clustered together and I received the same type of response from each: "Uh, we don't cut tiles". Then I asked, "do you have some associate you can refer me to have the tiles cut" as I wanted them done by someone in the industry? To further, "No, we don't know anyone (to help you)". On my own, I was able to achieve maybe a 65 percent decently cut tile rate myself, less with ones having a glaze. I found the unified responses' odd as their business industry is: TILES, even with "Custom" in the names of some shops. With that, shouldn't these businesses know about complementary customer requirements regarding tiles? I then called a half dozen more tile places. Still all came back with a blank NO answer given, "we don't cut them and we don't know anyone that could do just that for you". I started thinking huh, so all you Tile places just are interested in selling boxes of the stuff. Not to perhaps being interested in helping for anywhere else, should the need arise? Such frustration! To move along, I had noted earlier Woodhaven Tile's essentially unanimous 5 star rating online postings and I guess I went along with the adage, "Saving the best for last" to call them. When I did contact them which I should have originally done so in the first place, Frank at Woodhaven Tile said without hesitation, YES first bring a sample piece in for cutting, as he was somewhat concerned about the glaze being chipped during cuts. When I came in, I saw the owner Phil who was just as accommodating at having the cut's made. It was late that day so I just gave in the sample. I did come back the following day and Tara there showed me the cut sample and introduced me to the Italian craftsman, David there on staff. He had made the cuts flawlessly, no chipping I saw. When David listened to me for a few things, with his expertise he mentioned he thought perhaps that I had not initially measured for the tile's correctly and that I should re-examine the area where the tiles would go into. Ok, after leaving the boxes of tiles with them, when back at the house I did find after re-examination of my shower area, yes, yes... David had been right. I had the needed size measurements adjusted to David, whereupon the cuts were all perfectly made to my delight. During this, I noted that all of staff there, Frank, Tara, Phil and David were all so pleasantly patient and accommodating with me while I took time to re adjust for the cuts I needed. It quite honestly felt being among friends there who really listened to and wanted to help out with my needs. I was extremely pleased with their expertise and service provided to me. They do truly care about doing a completely satisfying job with all of a customer's tiling and stone custom requirements. You should experience the same pleasant and expert guidance from the staff in selecting a tile and stone décor upon a visit. Woodhaven Tile and Stone Design takes up a full block on Woodhaven Boulevard and there inside the showroom are very impressive displays of beautiful tiles and stones, along with an equally impressive helpful and experienced staff. The hours I noticed are very complimentary with extra morning and late times provided. Woodhaven tile and stone is unequivocally a "cut above" all the other tile vendor outlets in the business, especially since none of the others were willing or able to even "make the cut(s)" Thanks again very much guys for all your help!

We purchased floor tiles and backsplash tiles. When the time came to pick up the floor tiles at the warehouse we were given the wrong tiles. We noticed once we got home and opened the boxes. When we called, they said the warehouse was closing in 30 mins, that we had to wait until Monday and we were alright with that. We just asked that they confirm the correct ones were in stock and they reassured us. Come Monday when we got to the warehouse and took the sample we had with us, they said it was an old tile and that they no longer had it. They gave us a sample of a different tile to take home. We chose to go with that tile and when we went to the warehouse the third time - we were once again given the wrong one. The same wrong ones we were given the first time. They didn't have the tiles of the 2nd sample they had given us either. In the end we decided to just stay with that one. We then decided to return the backsplash tiles and were told there was a 25% restocking fee - when prior to purchasing everything we were always told we could return anything we didn't use without any mention of a fee. When we came to the store and tried to explain all the difficulties we experienced the manager/owner, Anthony, came out, cut us off, and said the fee was non-negotiable, take it or leave it. In the end the salesman who worked with us from the start, Manny, took care of us. But it was overall a very unpleasant experience. Just think twice maybe thrice before purchasing anything here. It seems like they make up prices for items that they don't even have labeled nor are they aware of what is or isn't in stock in their warehouse. The service is very poor and Anthony is uncompromising and very disrespectful. I honestly felt as women they treated us differently, but I haven't personally seen how they treat men.

Our new contractor had to rip and gut out all of the original contractor's work. Mind you, he and his men are indeed professionals, they pinpointed all the disaster done by that a**hole. Our new contractor provided my husband with a written contract, detailing step by step work to be done and prices to match for our bath. Not to mention, our contractor works closely with Quality Tile. Hubby and I, have been eyeing an on-trend bathroom design from the get-go. So when I came to Quality Tile, it was a matter of selecting shower tiles and floor preferences also. And by the way- quality and prices are great. Both my visits with one of their employees- Peter, was fantastic. He took his time and most of all- was patient as I tried to wrap my head around tile size and style. While on the subject, if you want the best results, stop by. I like doing my sh*t face to face and avoid phone calls as much as possible. But I do understand it may not be easy for folks to come here, but you'll obviously get a better glimpse of tiles up close when you're ready to purchase! So why am I posting all this info here? Because that a**hole doesn't have a Yelp page- nor will I create one for him and primarily alert other homeowners to keep all eyes if you're sensing something's way off with your contractor. Maybe I'm being a bit too eager without our bathroom being finished yet- but our new guys are keeping us in the loop every single step of the way. Hubby and I are really into these guys and their professionalism! And they're bringing it twice-fold!! Listen- for the sake of my safety and my home- I thought about mentioning "XYZ's" name and company's name here and just bring him down. But you know what...I won't. Because karma is gonna get his ass real good! These guys at Quality Tile, have a nice selection of Shower and Bathroom floor Tiles- including backsplashes. Our contractor erroneously advised us to purchase approximately 15 more box of tiles which we then purchased but soon realized that we only needed 3 more boxes. We had contacted Exquisite Tile and they accepted the return of the unused boxes. Should we have returned the boxes, we were notified to receive some sort of remittance but we have not received anything. Three months later, we have not received any remittance for the boxes that we had returned. Three weeks ago, we were promised to receive some compensation for the returned tiles but as of today we have not received any nor have we received any communication.

We were settling on a white marble or grey quartz which the store didn't have in stock. It would take at least a week to do the custom order for delivery. They suggested to check in Queens, particularly College Point and Flushing where most countertop and cabinet showrooms are located. We came across Tiger Woods, coincidentally since we were parked right in front. The store's showcase is small. However, it's impressive enough that it gives you a general idea of what they offer. There is also a good selection of cabinets, sink, hardware, etc. The sales staff are phenomenal. They will give you recommendations based on your needs or wants. The guy that helped us sketched the sink layout and precise measurements to ensure a perfect cut for the countertop. I had to deduct a star due to an issue with their delivery service. Otherwise, it would had been a 4 since they were an excellent choice. We were told, they would call us a day ahead to arrange for the delivery time. Unfortunately, no one did from the store. Apparently, the same guy that assisted with the countertop was off on Wednesday. I'm now being told at 8am on a Thursday that their driver is 15-20 minutes away. This was extremely unprofessional on their part. Countertops are extremely heavy and requires at least two ppl to lift into the house. He assured me that it was under 6 foot so it should be doable. If only he was actually there in person to lift it. It was like lifting a giant slab of concrete! The driver was not happy about lifting it inside my home. This was even after I offered to tip him. Overall, I would recommend them for their service and selection. However, I would strongly suggest to call and re-check on their delivery schedule.

Freddy was in the shop that day and was so incredibly helpful hearing our ideas & recommending solutions. Then we placed an order on a relatively tight timeline - the tiles were supposed to arrive from the supplier 3 days before our installers were going to start. Freddy called me with the bad news that the supplier had been giving them the runaround, and it was looking like we would be a month delayed - the chain reaction of this would have left us totally screwed, but without even asking (although I was ready to beg) Freddy said he would make some calls to other stores and suppliers around town to see if he can figure it out. Within two hours he texted me that they found all the stock we needed (over 150 sq ft!) and had them in the shop that afternoon. Completely saved the day and bent over backwards for us when they could have just said ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ They have a huge selection, fantastic prices, and amazing staff - there's another guy whose name I unfortunately didn't get, but he was just as friendly and helpful as Freddy. Would highly recommend Mosaic Supplies, especially instead of trying to order something online yourself - or if you find something you like online, bring the idea to them first and they'll sort out the details. They also recommended a couple installers (although we ended up going with "Marcos & Bruno Tile and Stone Specialists" who we also found on Yelp and were perfect). Amazing store!
