I always boast this place and have fond memories here. Great shots of the Atlantic and you can even put one in there if you'd like, just not sure how ecofriendly that is. I even saw boobies near the lighthouse once as i was coming up to the teebox and the happy young free spirited woman pulled up her shirt when posing for her boyfriend, yea buddy! That aside, the staff was just ok and the grounds so-so but challenging and affordable as it's a 9hole muni. Scenery, sounds of the ocean and Scottish feel w/out using a passport makes this place a must play. Also touted as the oldest course on the cape Cape Cod really is heaven on earth

All my life I wanted to play golf at Highland Links and in April I finally got the chance. The staff was great the course was so cool and very different than any course I've played recently. It reminded me of the course I first learned to play Olde Newbury on the North Shore. We started slow but my 15 year old nephew and I aced the last five holes for a magnificent experience.

We didn't end up losing many balls, because although the rough is unforgiving, the balls are easy to find.

A solid 3.5 stars…read more The good: -Beautiful views of the water -The lounge area by the pool was so relaxing and comfortable! Sincerely the best of any resort we've stayed at -Genuinely friendly staff -The cleaning crew was phenomenal and didn't miss a spot The not-so-good: -Paper thin walls. We were woken up multiple nights because the upstairs guests were walking around. Yes, plain footsteps - not even stomping - were very audible. For close to 1k a night, this shouldnt have happened. My cheap grad school duplex apartment didn't even have walls this thin! -Friction prevented us from giving the resort more money. There's room service but no menu in the room and it wasn't easily found online either. And we were so ready to drop a good amount of money on poolside drinks and food but nobody waited on us both times we were at the pool. (They did happen to wait on the social media star who was present, which was very obvious, and we made eye contact with another family who shrugged because they hadn't been waited on either.) And finally the coffee shop closed at noon. We would have happily patronized the shop for a treat and a coffee and were disappointed to find it closed so early. -Our perception was that there was nothing going on at the Wequassett. We stayed in June (and received the May newsletter; perhaps that would've given us more info if we had the correct one?) We had expected the poolside bar to be open. Maybe some live music. Smores for the kids by the fire (we would've purchased this.) So many opportunities for improvement! We stayed at the cliff house in Maine last year and there was a number displayed around the resort that you could text and they'd send a message with info about was going on at the hotel that week! Such a memorable touch - Wequasset could consider something like this. All in all, not awful, but not blow-your-socks-off fantastic, either. Just plain average in the realm of resorts.

Wequassett has been for many years among the best properties I go to in the US (or internationally…read morefor that matter). Every single time we visited, the service has been impeccable and I find it hard to think about any other resort that can get even close to Wequassett. The grounds are perfectly kept and the rooms have been recently renovated. And although, there's a trend even with classic high-end resorts (St. Regis, J.W., Ritz-Carlton) to make their renovations a little too modern for my taste, Wequassett successfully kept their old school charm. We always stay at their Signature Water View King rooms (and book well in advance as there's only a few of these) so I can't speak of other room types. The amenities are flawless and even though the main pool gets VERY crowded during summer weekends, the pool attendant always found 2 chairs for us. My only recommendation for this property is to have a backup plan for the main pool. Perhaps installing a deck and adding some more chairs there to accommodate more guests that prefer the beach vs. the pool.

what an awesome course. and i'm not just saying that because i dropped a 70' putt for birdie on…read morethe 460 yard par 5. ok, maybe i am just a little bit. the lady and i were able to take advantage of a groupon - $40 for 18 and a cart - and drove down for a spot of golf on a cool, windy sundy afternoon. although it's on the cape, it only took us about an hour to get here from the q, so you can definitely do a day trip here. the set up here is great. the course feels really long, but maybe that's just because i'm used to playing par 3 courses - a trend which may have happily ended. i played the white tees while the lady enjoyed a significant distance advantage from a majority of the reds. the par 3's are extremely tight and challenging, the 4's require some thinking, and the 5's are long and wide open. grip it n' rip it, baby!! the par 3 9th has the only water you run into on the course and is probably the signature hole. you can find the sand as well on many holes, but the real challenge here is the change of elevation. it is not uncommon to have to pitch *up* 30 or 50 feet to the green from 100 yards out. to practice, i recommend trying to hit your 9 iron through a 4th floor window. or something. quick practical note - the address here is 48 theatre drive, east falmouth. the course's website lists the town as "hatchville," but east falmouth worked in my nav.

Was really enjoying the course until a ranger approached us and without so much as a hello,…read moreinformed us we were 9 minutes behind pace. We were a twosome following a foursome and waited on just about every tee shot/approach shot for the group ahead of us to clear. Right before the moment he approached us, we first had to wait for the foursome to clear and then two maintenance carts drove out into the landing zone in the middle of the fairway and took their sweet time with whatever they were working on. It was a good 5 minutes before they even looked at us/waved us on. We tried to explain all of this to the ranger and he cut us off every time we spoke. Just kept telling us those weren't excuses for falling behind. Our options were a) hitting into the group in front of us or b) hitting at two of their staff and a dog. After 5 minutes of waiting to be acknowledged we were ready to hit at the maintenance guys, but I'm not hitting at an innocent dog! The best part was the two open holes behind us. Sorry we were holding those guys up so much!

A breathtaking Cape Cod wedding venue with flawless service…read more The Ridge Club in Sandwich, Massachusetts was the perfect setting for my daughter Megan's Cape Cod wedding. From our first visit, the space stood out. The ballroom has soaring ceilings, brick floors, and walls of windows overlooking the beautifully manicured grounds. The adjacent protected ceremony space beneath the trees feels private, peaceful, and elegant. What impressed us most was how smoothly everything ran. We did not hire a wedding planner, so we relied heavily on the venue team, and our coordinator Macarena was exceptional--organized, responsive, and very experienced in helping the bride shape the flow of the day. Every transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception felt effortless. The food was truly outstanding. The plated dinner was restaurant quality, and guests commented on how exceptional it was. The staff handled every detail of setup and breakdown with great care, which allowed our family to enjoy the celebration instead of worrying about logistics. If you are searching for a Cape Cod wedding venue, The Ridge Club offers beautiful surroundings, excellent food, and a team that clearly knows how to execute a seamless event. We are very grateful to The Ridge Club team for making the day feel so smooth and memorable.
