Great little Mexican restaurant. Up here on vacation in the area. Had a combo plate with wet burrito, chimichanga, and taco....sides we're refried beans and also rice. Very generous serving sizes, perfectly prepared and service was great. Highly recommended!

Bland food chips and dip were the only redeeming thing. Just not impressed at all. Service was good however

I was at the Soaring Eagle for a couple of days event. Tried this place and was sadly disappointed…read more I don't remember eating at a place in years that was this disappointing. Upon entering you can quickly see the furnishing have been there a while so they are definitely dated. Lots of locals out for dinner. A real homey place. Server was fairly prompt and courteous. I ordered their restaurant named dish which came out in a timely manner. The issue was when I dug into the food. I'm normally pretty easy to make happy with food but this dinner stands out. The refried beans were plain and one step thicker than soup. The rice, the rice I can't put my finger on it but like the beans I refused to eat more than two forks worth. OK, the burrito will be good. Well, guess what, the meat (burger) tasted like there was no seasoning at all. OK, the chips were good and the dipping salsa was passable. Would I go back? No way. The staff was friendly and no pressure or hassle ordering or delivering the food but the food was just plain bad.

Ordered happy hour beer and margaritas while waiting for the meal. Neatly packaged and easy to carry-out. Ordered the "Pollo a la Diabla" chicken platter, "Tamales Dinner", ground beef enchiladas served with seasoned rice and refried beans. Chips and salsa included in the to-go order. Very pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the food. Great price. I found the interior environment to be comfortable. Family friendly. Will return.

Enjoyed a nice lunch for two. Got a booth quickly upon arriving with complimentary crispy tortilla…read moreChips and plenty of salsa. Hot sauce options to spice up the meal on the table already. Craving tamales ordered the 3 tamale plate with beef. I was surprised by the amount the meat and cheese layered on top and not rolled inside the tamal. Plenty of food for two to split as an entrees. Small portion Refried pinto beans and Mexican Rice as expected kinda bland and not very warm at all upon arriving at the table. With only one other person in the restaurant and ordering only one entrees I expected faster service and hot food. The plate was the warmest part of the meal. Lots of soda options, but they do not serve alcohol (plenty options downtown Midland nearby to enjoy a drink).

I wouldn't come back here when there are so many other options in Midland. The servers were very…read morefriendly but when I asked a question I realized that she didn't speak English. She ran and got someone to translate. So I actually didn't order what I wanted because I knew she wouldn't be able to understand what I was saying. That's my fault ! My friend got the super large burrito and it was the size of a Taco Bell bean burrito and had no side dishes with it so I thought that was kind of expensive and he didn't like the food anyways. I got one of the vegetarian options and the bean burrito was like a small burrito I'd make at home with a can of refried beans. It also had a cheese enchilada that was like something I would make at home too. When we sat down and got the chips and salsa, I asked if they had a hot salsa also. The waitress went and got someone to translate who then ran and brought me a saucer full of hotter salsa that was good, but I wasn't told that it would be an extra $5 and didn't realize it until the bill came. Like I said, I won't be going back here again!!

Wow! From a couple of Detroiters, our expectations were a bit low, but I have to say this place was…read morereally good and arguably better than a lot of places in Mexicantown. Margaritas were really good, didn't taste mix or anything harsh like that. We had mini taquitos for an app and tacos for dinner. Tacos were very very good. The only thing was we wished they were corn tortillas instead of flour, and white onions instead of red, but the flavor otherwise was so delicious it made up for it. Can't wait to come back

My kids talked me into here instead of Little Mexico because Mi Mezcal does have an extensive vegetarian menu. I'm sorry I did that. First they are pricier than Little Mexico. By about $3 to $5 per plate. But the really sore spot was the food: it was all one note and that note was SALT! There was VERY little resemblance to south of the border or Tex-Méx dishes. O ordered the combo special: chili rellenos, beef burrito, beef taco corn shell, beef tostada, and beef enchilada plus rice and beans. The batter on the chili rellenos was less eggy and more thin fish batter. The chili itself had no flavor. The red sauce? Taco Bell's red sauce is spicier! The ground beef was heavily salted with no discernible cumin or chili powder. Even the beans and rice were bland! By the time the food got home ALL THE CORN TORTILLA items were VERY soggy and no crisp to them at all! I've ordered from other Mexican restaurants in Mt. Pleasant and Cadillac and never had this issue! I would recommend saving a couple of bucks and heading to Little Mexico's locations for a better and more authentic Mexican experience!
