We decided to give Mi Mezcal again after our not so good experience a couple years ago. Really glad we did! Food So we ordered entrees Burrito Deluxe and the 3 Chicken Taco combo. For an app, we ordered the chicken Taquitos. The Burrito Deluxe comes with a beef burrito and a chicken burrito. Both were stuffed full and really good. The 3 Taco combo was also very good and wow, also stuffed with lot of chicken. The 3 Taquito app was also really good. The spicy salsa that came with was a nice touch. Chips and two salsas comp and good also. Service Our waiter was great. He helped us with the details, stopped by a few times to be sure we were good, and was just a nice guy. Restaurant This place was very clean. The booths look to be custom made and comfortable. They have high backs also, so you feel like you are dining in your own place. Cost So two entrees and an app, along with two soft drinks was $52. Pretty good deal when you consider we took home leftovers for lunch the next day. Hooked up our waiter also for his job well done, so we walked out at $72. Summary You know, I'm glad we tried Mi Mezcal again. Maybe we caught them on a bad day last time. Cadillac doesn't have a lot of restaurants, and especially restaurants that are actually good, so I'm happy to know this place is banging now. Absolutely suggest you give them a go. We took carry out so I can't comment on the service, and this was a special dinner for my birthday on cinco de mayo. My kids talked me into here instead of Little Mexico because Mi Mezcal does have an extensive vegetarian menu. I'm sorry I did that. First they are pricier than Little Mexico. By about $3 to $5 per plate. But the really sore spot was the food: it was all one note and that note was SALT! There was VERY little resemblance to south of the border or Tex-Méx dishes. O ordered the combo special: chili rellenos, beef burrito, beef taco corn shell, beef tostada, and beef enchilada plus rice and beans. The batter on the chili rellenos was less eggy and more thin fish batter. The chili itself had no flavor. The red sauce? Taco Bell's red sauce is spicier! The ground beef was heavily salted with no discernible cumin or chili powder. Even the beans and rice were bland! By the time the food got home ALL THE CORN TORTILLA items were VERY soggy and no crisp to them at all! I've ordered from other Mexican restaurants in Mt. Pleasant and Cadillac and never had this issue! I would recommend saving a couple of bucks and heading to Little Mexico's locations for a better and more authentic Mexican experience! read more

Wow! From a couple of Detroiters, our expectations were a bit low, but I have to say this place was really good and arguably better than a lot of places in Mexicantown. Margaritas were really good, didn't taste mix or anything harsh like that. We had mini taquitos for an app and tacos for dinner. Tacos were very very good. The only thing was we wished they were corn tortillas instead of flour, and white onions instead of red, but the flavor otherwise was so delicious it made up for it. While on our circle tour of colors up north we decided to stop and have dinner at this restaurant. I ordered a chorizo taco for an appetizer and it was very good. I ordered the beefy enchiladas that came with rice and beans. The enchiladas I would definitely order again. My friend ordered the steak fajitas and he was pleased with everything about them. Everything we ordered was excellent: the salsa had a little kick and the chips were perfectly salted, the steak in the carne asada tacos was tender and came with a large side of beans, rice, guacamole, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. Wow! We just stopped in here traveling back to Kzoo from further north and this might be some of the best Mexican food I've ever had! Free chips and salsa to start, the chips were perfect and the salsa was very flavorful. Then the food came fast and we all ordered a few different versions of enchiladas, all of which were great. Mine was covered in amazing seafood, and the rice and beans were also well done. The staff were all very nice and helpful, and they seem to have about 3 or 4 restaurants in one. They serve alcohol, the bar area is nice and they have a huge menu. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm on the way to or back from up North! read more

Very disappointed ! I've tried it 3 times .Each time I was disappointed. Food was mediocre at best. Service was disappointing and non existent.Couldn't get refills on our drinks. My food had a small black hair in it .I will give them credit they did handle that. Our waitress acted as if she hated being there .Unfortunately we had her each time. They were very slow and very few customers. To many waitstaff.So many on their phones. I will not return. read more

Wife and I and our 2 best friends went to dinner there on 5/30/2025. Service was absolutely horrible. Waitress came to our table once to take our order. 3 times we had to wave her down for anything. She served me tea that was a shade darker than water. I flagged her down to replace it. Came back with same thing I was served. Flagged her down two other times to get water. Our friends were also having to flag her down. Waitress name was Elisa . We were there for 2 hours. She had one other table. The entire time she was leaning on a counter playing on her phone.... Everything was fantastic! Got the Lobster Molcajete... did not disappoint! I could drink that base all day everyday. Has a nice kick that isn't overpowering (but it'll make your nose run!). Service was great and the food came out quick. Give this place a visit and you won't be let down! read more

My family stopped here for dinner after skiing and there was 15 of us but they were able to seat us right away and gave us phenomenal service. Everything was fast and efficient. Also every single person was impressed with their food which is unheard of in a group of 15. I was really hoping to be able to give a five star review but......... A lot of my reviews I stress you never have a second chance at making that first impression. My first real impression was of course looking at the menu. Wife and I being a big fan of the Fajitas Texans so let's do the meal for two. Take a look at the menu at the price for one and price for two. Not a deal breaker by no means but let's see how you handle it. Once brought to the waitress attention she was confused so she got her manager. The manager came to the table I pointed out what I assumed was a price error and he said I don't know. Ok, again not a big deal but still really? The chips and salsa you pay for so don't look for the first complimentary basket. The food came out looked plentiful but the fajitas were a bust. Wife ended up getting the fajita Cuban and she said it was very oily, had decent flavor but would not order again. The Fajita Texan had no taste at all had two shrimp in total was a total miss for the taste buds looked like a lot of food but fell way short of the mark. The Chimichanga was rated very good but such a small portion served. The quesadilla was also rated good. Service was prompt, food hit the table fast decor and cleanliness of restaurant was 5 star. Undecided if we'd go back seeing there is a another Mexican restaurant not to far from Mitchell Street off M-115. So, even over little details can lose you customers if not addressed properly and this may be the deal breaker at this restaurant over $2.00. So disappointing given the reputation of owner Mexican waitstaff nice but nobody can understand what we were saying or what we needed which was a little frustrating. The $30 dish with all the meats was too chewy to eat and tasted of old char from grill and they didn't even cut up the meat! Chips and salsas just plain gross. Finally, a good Mexican restaurant in our area. I have spent the last 30 years in Arizona where there is a great Mexican restaurant on most corners and this place is comparable. There is a lovely outdoor seating area, and the staff was one of the most friendly and attentive we have ever encountered. It was amazing.. Staff was very attentive but not overly. I ordered the shrimp fajita chimichanga and my husband ordered the shrimp al ajo. It was the best meal I have had in this town since Hermann's closed. The chips with the two different sauces they brought to the table were excellent; not salty and full of flavor. Everything was super fresh and for the first time in a long time my shrimp was properly cooked.
