We got takeout of three large pizzas plus an order of breadsticks. The breadsticks were okay. But the pizza was quite nice. We got a cheese, a mushroom, and one with sausage, mushroom, and black olives. I am not sure which was my favorite! It was a very enjoyable and tasty meal. read more

I was completely dumb-founded by the lack of ingredients used for my food. Not only did my Italian sub lack the most important ingredients: lettuce and onion, but my pizza was low-balled on half of it, and didn't even have one of the simple ingredients I asked for: pepperoni. My first time here but I will definitely come back. We had two different appetizers: the garlic cheese bread which was really good and the absolutely amazing Massimo stick bread. For dinner I had the calzone which was perfect. I tried the slice of an extra thin pizza (think sorta like imos thin) and it also had a really good flavor. They use a lot of oregano seasoning and I think that really makes their food standout. read more

We went adventurous and tried the Olympian, which is a hummus based pizza. It's apparently divisive, but the hummus base, veggies, and banana peppers pulled together to be a great pizza! The only drawback was the crust--it was a little crispy to my taste, no tea softness, and there was no flavor in it at all. Brought a group here on a weeknight and ordered 4 pizzas for 6:30 pm for dine-in. We were running a little late, and a manager called and wanted to make sure he kept the pizzas hot for us. Very nice gesture that I greatly appreciated. When we got to the restaurant, we were greeted promptly and pizza came to our table almost immediately. Very tasty- we all loved it!! Normally I would've had to have gone to Chicago to get pizza this good. Delicious, everything homemade and place was clean though service a little slow, but they were busy so that's not really a problem. It was so good we ate one pizza there and took another one home! Doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside smells like a pizzeria should, it's nice and clean and the food is absolutely fabulous! Even the iced tea was good. First time here. Good pizza. Their idea of crust is a little different than I'm used too. Thin,extra thin,and deep dish. Extra Thin I though would be a cracker crust but it wasn't and a deep dish defiantly wasn't Chicago style but non the less it was delicious. Sweet sauce. We will stop in here again. read more

Wow...I love pizza and Mario's is fantastic! While visiting the alma mater of 3/4's of my family, we stopped here for dinner on the suggestion of the friends we were dining with. Let me be honest and say that from the looks of the outside, I wasn't sure how good it could be...but I knew it smelled wonderful from the time we walked in the door. Its a cute, family owned little space...with pizza and cheesecake as the top items on the menu (in my opinion). We tried the large Davinci deep dish...which is kind of like a regular thickness of pizza in the Chicago area and an extra think mushroom sausage. I really couldn't pick a favorite...both were delicious! If you are ever in Greenville, I would highly recommend a trip to Mario's....its meraviglioso!! read more

My friend and I got a new "vegetarian" pizza after stopping in to A) go to the bathroom and B) see if they had toasted raviolis....the girl working told us of her new creations and my friend liked the idea of the humus with feta/mozzarella and various vegetable pizza. I thought this can either be really bad or really good...it was great! I enjoyed the crust and cheese! we also tried the chummy rummy grapefruit soda, chummy rummy yummy! My wife and I have been hearing just how great Mario's Pizza is and decided we would drive the 14 miles to Greenville for some shopping but especially to try Mario's. We were disappointed that their inside dining was closed due to covid and if we wanted to eat it would have to be take out. Not only that but their fountain service was not working so that if we wanted soft drinks we would have to go elsewhere to purchase them. In spite of these inconveniences we decided to place a order for a large pizza and bread sticks. We waited for about 15 minutes while several people came and picked up their orders. Finally a young man came to our car (not the one who took our order) and asked if we had placed an order. We told him we had and that we had been waiting at least 15 minutes. He told us that he would try to find out what the holdup was. 10 minutes go by and still no food until finally the young man comes to our car and says that they cannot find our order. He offers no apologies or offers to compensate us for our inconvenience. Disgusted we left, drove .5 miles away to Joe's Pizza where we were able to go into the dining room and in spite of the covid were able to order and eat our pizza there. While eating at Joe's, I called Mario's and asked for the manager. I relayed our unpleasant experience at Mario's and asked if he thought that was a good business practice. He assured me that it was not and took my name and phone number promising to call me on Tuesday to set up a times when we could come to Mario's for a dinner at no charge. Unfortunately several Tuesdays have come and gone and we are still waiting on that phone call! read more

Marios is very authentic Italian pizza. The crust is phenomenal. Toppings very generous and fresh. I've eaten here monthly for the last three years and never let down. I would skip the calzones. To much dough and not enough fillings. The salads or very good. Great place worth the trip. read more
