Some years back Marios Tree Service were the only ones willing to take down a old badly bee infested big mulberry tree. No other tree co was willing and told me I had to get rid of the bees first. They had one bee hood and I tightened the cuffs on the young man's shirt sleeves and pants with duct tape to make sure the bees did not get under his clothes. He was uneasy but the job got done. After the tree was cut down you could see that the honeycomb went up 4 feet from the base of the trunk!! Anyway they chopped up the tree and eventually managed to get all the wood dumped. I hope it never happens again. I had to spray the tiny pieces of wood on the lawn that still had honey on it. I recommend them. read more

Mario's Tree Service removed four trees for us six months ago. They also removed the stumps. We went to plant flowers and plants and were in need of more stump grinding of roots. I called and he came out the same day. He had his worker at our home the next day and took out the roots that were intruding. They did a great job and I had them plant the shrubs and flowers also. I've been using Marios tree service for about 5 years now. They have provided good work until this last service in early April. Workers came and did the job and knocked over some wire mesh On the roof of my home. I contacted the company and spoke with Adele. Adele stated she would schedule a time to repair the damage. A week after not hearing back I again contacted them and Adele states the workers denied causing damage. I informed her the damage wasn't there prior and sent her the attached picture. Nobody was sent to repair. Poor way to run a business. I will not be using their services any longer read more

They came out, provided a bid, their office manager followed up with a text the next day which put them ahead of the other companies whom provided us with bids. We hired them and they performed the work within 1 day and did a terrific job not only trimming our trees but also cleaning up everything beautifully after. Our trees look so great including two extremely tall redwood trees which required a climber. Their staff wore professional uniforms and worked hard and efficiently. Mario's was decent in some ways but would definitely shop around. They did an ok job on my trees, fixed a pomegranite tree not exactly the way I wanted but it's adequate. They did virtually no clean up however and left my yard an absolute mess. I asked them to come back and clean which at first they weren't going to do for 2 days. When I sent photos they sent someone out. They also broke a couple of my sprinkler heads which I just fixed myself because I just want to be done with them. Let me briefly relate the saga of our giant overgrown eucalyptus and how Mario Tree Services came to our rescue! We bought our house 7 years ago and with it came this tree which had probably not been trimmed in 20+ years, was hanging over 3 of our neighbor's yards, and was way too tall. Two years ago I finally tried to get a different company to come out and trim it but was told PG&E needed to trim around the power lines. Called PG&E, they sent someone out to assess it, said they were going to send a team and then never showed. So finally in early Spring of this year I started looking at more quotes. Mario Tree Services came out same day to do an assessment and then even sent out a second assessor to make sure they had the most accurate price estimate, and it was the most reasonable estimate I received. Called PG&E again and they sent a team out within the day to trim their part finally, then the Mario Tree Services team was able to start within the week. They had to do the whole thing without a lift due to our tree's odd location, but even so they did a fantastic job, reducing the height and overall volume by about 50%. The project unfortunately took longer than expected but that's because we had issues coordinating with one of our neighbors to allow the team into their backyard to cut the branches overhanging their yard and garage. However, the team was very understanding, patient, and professional through the delay. We're very pleased with the outcome. The tree is much more manageable and most importantly, safe. We would highly recommend Mario Tree Services to anyone looking for a good tree trimming company! read more

This is the second time we've used Mario's Tree Service. Our first experience was in approximately 2015 after buying our first home which had sat empty for two years and had dead trees and tons of overgrowth. After calling around, I had found Mario's. Clearly I was pleased with their work and service, I gave them a call this past week to take out an olive tree, a palm and an overgrown bush/tree thing. Additionally, I had asked about removing the old mulch the prior owners tossed around the backyard and getting the two cherry blossom trees trimmed in my front yard and remove a stump. I was greeted by Andrew, Mario's son. First off he was timely which impressed me throughly. Second, he gave me a quote based on my needs which was $1250. His crew was out the next day and everything is cleaned out. He called me today and let me know he was caught up and would like to finish the stumps tomorrow. The due diligence to be honest is astounding, as you really don't see that kind of service anymore.
