I give 2.5 stars. I took my VW to get the headliner replaced. Color didn't match but was close enough. The interior had so much dust and fuzz everywhere, wish he could have at least vacuum his mess. I had to clean off his dirty hand prints from the new headliner. I took my 2017 Mercedes Cabriolet for replacing the cables and reinfoce plate for the cables. After sending him a couple videos and talking back and showing him the frayed cables and the plate he came up with a plan on how he would do it. He said could do it and when he gets a chance. This had been months so we were patient since he had the confidence in doing the repair. He said to bring the car in on Friday night (assumed he would work on it when it cooled down) whenever he gets a chance. He calls later that night asking how to lower the top my husband explains it to him. He then calls Monday and says he was not going to do it. I dont understand why it took 4 days to let us know he wouldn't be able to do it. Only reason was so he can use ir for a weekend cruise. I dont trust him. Better off taking your car somewhere else. Mario SAVED my Mustang. My 2012 Ford Mustang convertible top was beginning to unglue from the back window. It was letting in the elements, including the rain! I tried to fix it myself with all kinds of super glue, gorilla glue, even duct tape. It was a mess. I was looking at expensive estimates to replace the entire convertible top-- just because it was ungluing! That was the only solution according to all the other shops I visited! Well, not Mario's shop. He saved me *hundreds* of dollars. He was able to glue it back together and it perfectly withstood the California elements. I saw the good rating and brought my car, I can give my honest review! First off it's just a dirty job many missing screws (14 and theyre special order)! My car is a stick shift and he lost my keys and he pushed my car with his truck, made a dint on it!!! When I asked he stated " well your car is already mess up" " what's the problem" took no responsibility of it at all!! Yes the paint is messed up but it's not your job to mess it up more!! When asked to see our keys to verify that he truly did find them he said pay me first !! Really !! I wouldn't bring my car here!! And if you brought your white Audi here please check it as he was pulling it in he was running over something. We trying talking to him and he didn't care and minimize everything we said! I needed to have my dining chairs reupholstered. I had my own material. He charged me $40 per chair which I feel since I had my own material should have been more like $20-$30. He was very quick and got it done in 2 hours. Great work though! You definitely get wonderful reviews for timely and nice work. read more

The first thing that I did was to check out YELP for their reviews. Amazing as some people gave great reviews and sone gave terrible reviews. I wondered if I should even go there. But, I went to several places and found out that Mario's had the best price. So I went to Mario's. He gave me an excellent price so I immediately made an appointment. I brought my car in and left it. Mario's upholstery is seriously awesome. They had me in and out within less than an hour to fix my car seat. Also out of the kindness of their hearts they fixed my switch (controls my seat to go up down front and back) that was not working for free. I highly highly highly recommend this place not only does he do car upholstery but he does your dining table chairs as well. He didn't charge me a lot of money which was really awesome he was very honest they were very kind and may look terrible to a lot of people when you show up it's small but the quality of work that I saw today I must say I am going to be his customer until he goes out of business he totally earned my loyalty in business. Took my car here to get cleaned inside out, could not be more pleased with the quality of work for a great price! I think only two people work here so they took longer than expected, but it's alright. They were working on the car hours after they closed. Very hard working couple. First off, there are 2 brothers who work here. One is Mario and the other is Carlos. Carlos is the short stubby one. Just took my 01 Civic here for a headliner job. The guy who was there (Carlos) looked at my car and quoted me $150 for the job. Funny because I had called the day before for a quote and was given a price of $135. Must have been Mario who I spoke with on the phone. Anyway, I told Carlos all I had was $120 on me. He tried to wheel and deal but I told him all I had was $120. So he agreed to do it for $120. From what I understood about headliner jobs, you remove all the panels and dome light, handles, shades, etc...Then you remove the whole headliner panel and take it out of the car. Remove the old fabric and glue on a new one. Then replace everything right? Well, these guys do it the "lazy" way. The did remove all the fixtures, but left the headliner in place. They cut a piece of fabric to size. They put glue on it. Then they spray glue on the headliner while it's still in your car. I'm thinking to myself, "OMG, you're gonna get glue residue all over my interior!" Then he begins to slowly place the new fabric in place. Pressing and smoothing out the fabric as he puts it in. By now I'm thinking coming here was a big mistake! I asked Carlos, wouldn't it have been easier if you took it out and then glued on the new piece? He said it's easier this way. The final result was not good. I think they could have smoothed it out more. He basically used his hands to smooth out the fabric. I think there's a special roller you use to smooth it out. If they had actually taken out the headliner, pressing and smoothing out the fabric would have been easier because you're not working upside down. And the roll of fabric they use is left outside on a table, which means it can get dirty. Sure enough there were some dirty spots on my piece, so they used gasoline to wipe it clean. Yup, GASOLINE ! Now my car smells like gasoline inside mixed with the glue smell also. Woohoo !!! Got a little buzz driving home. Their shop is very messy. Tools are scattered everywhere with nuts and bolts here and there. They have rolls and rolls of different fabrics stored haphazardly in their shop. They need to take more pride in their shop. They don't give you a receipt for there work. So I asked about there warranty on their work. How do they know I had the work done here, if I don't have a receipt. Carlos guaranteed me that I won't have any problems for at least 10 years. Lets just hope he's right. Everyone who I called for a quote gave me a price of $160, $155 or so. For $120, I guess I can't complain too much. The final result is decent, a lot better than before I guess. Took them about an hour and half to complete the work. Best to have someone go with you so you can just leave your car. They have no place for you to wait. But would I come back again? Probably not. read more

Great Job. I had a ripped leather seat in my 1999 BMW M3. Mario changed a couple of the panels on the seat and matched the leather so well that I cannot see where the tears were. Excellent Job at a great price. read more
