Wow this place was amazing! As soon as we walked in, it smells and looks clean which is always appreciated! Portions are shareable and prices are super fair. We got the mar y Tierra and rate it a 8/10. The tacos dorados de Camaron were a 10/10! The ceviche was also a 10/10! Service was also amazing our waitress was nice and attentive. When we are back in town we will definitely return!

Aaaamazing Sinaloa style Mariscos!!! Place is always clean and service is always great. Their Negra sauce is (chefs kiss) I usually add to ceviche or the jaiva! The consistency of the jaiva is like a spaghetti which is so nice and adds great consistency to the flavors. Their seafood is always fresh and large. One of my favorite places to eat!

Mariscos El Moreno ceviche and sushi rolls!!!!

Mariscos El Moreno is easily the best seafood I've had, no question. Everything tasted super fresh and full of flavor. The ceviche and aguachiles were --perfect balance of spice and lime, not watered down like other spots. Portions are solid too, you definitely get your money's worth. The vibe is chill, nothing fancy, just good food done right. You can tell they know what they're doing. I've tried a lot of seafood spots and this one is on another level. Definitely coming back.

Mariscos El Moreno is a great spot for seafood lovers in La Puente. The food is delicious--this time we tried the tacos dorados de camarón, the sushi, and the botana de ceviche with shrimp, octopus, tuna, and salmon in salsa morena. Every plate was flavorful, fresh, and honestly everything on the menu tastes good. Another big plus is that the plates can easily be shared, since the portions are generous. It's a good place to come with family or friends so everyone can try a little bit of everything. The service is excellent. The waiters are friendly, helpful, and always attentive. The atmosphere is relaxed and family-oriented, making it a comfortable place to sit down and enjoy a meal. They have tv's in case you want to catch a game and have some good mariscos and a bomb Michelada. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get, and the drinks are great, I personally like their maracuyá drink, which is delicious and refreshing and the Micheladas. Overall, it's a solid spot for quality mariscos, great service, and plenty of food to share. Recommend everyone to try this new spot of Mariscos in La Puente.

Was in the mood for some seafood and saw this place took over the old mariscos place and I'm glad they did! Plenty of parking and ample seating! Ordered the Navolato When we picked up the food we were not expecting the amount of food! Plenty to share. They give you a whole bag of tostadas, forks and tapatio packets. The seafood was phenomenal, love the taste and how refreshing the meal was. Will come back for the ceviche! Or to order the same thing again, it had a bit of everything!

Saw that this place just opened and wanted to give it a shot. We ordered the Navolatos for takeout and I am thankful that was the only thing that we ordered because it was a tray of ceviche, raw shrimp, octopus and raw scallops and it comes with a bag of tostadas. Everything was really good and the ceviche was one of the best that I have had.

First time eating here. The food was DELICIOUS, we ordered, Camarones Costa Azul, Mar y Tierra molcajete, camarones y pulpo a la diabla y camarones culichi! The flavor was perfection. Price was good for the amount of food you get. Highly recommended.

    The best octopus plate ever!

If you're craving seafood that slaps harder than your tía when you talk back, Mariscos El Moreno is the place. I came for tacos, and I left spiritually fulfilled -- and possibly slightly over-salted (in the best way). Let's start with the Octopus: it's so spicy it made me question every life decision that led me to this point. Tears? Yes. Regret? Absolutely not. The asada guacamole was next-level -- Whoever is back there cooking deserves a raise, a hug, and a trophy shaped like a lime wedge. Only downside? You might have to unbutton your jeans halfway through your meal. But hey, that's the price of greatness

Raised in LP all my life. This corner location hasn't had the best luck for lasting businesses. BUT I was excited to hear about a new mariscos spot coming into town. My experience overall was great. I went in the early afternoon and was greeted politely. The prices are reasonable but can get pricey and many dishes are Best for sharing! I got this thing in a molcajete (mixta I believe) which can serve up to 2 people easily (but I didn't share lol). Wide range of options to chose from- they even offer sushi. Our server was polite, warm and checked up on us regularly. Great first experience at El Moreno. Looking forward to come back. Best wishes and congrats to this place coming to La Puente!

This plate was not in the menu but asked if we can make it and they made it. Delicious that's all I have to say!

Ambiance is good.. they start you off with chips and salsa. Nice, warm and tasty. Service was great, we received our order pretty fast. Food was good but over priced. I have to say the portions are great but the prices I did find very steep.

What a unique experience!…read more Grilling, bbq-ing, etc is a norm but steaming your food on the table? Now that's something else! I really enjoyed the dinner I had, they offer lots of options, from freshly made buns, dumplings to fresh seafood. The menu is pretty extensive and they also offer cooked dishes from the kitchen. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They made sure we get the best experience as it was our first time dining at this place. We had the big eye fish as they called it and they steamed it at the other empty table because our buns and dumplings were steaming at the same time to save time. They finish the fish at the kitchen with the hot oil and sauce. We also had the pork and shrimp buns, and beef dumplings. They were delicious! You can make your sauce at the station too and they provide good options. We also got the baby oysters appetizer that was soaking in some sort of light soy sauce marinade. Also got the soft shell crab and you get 3 whole crabs for $10! It was so worth it! The whole restaurant looked clean and inviting. The booths were spacious. I would definitely come back here and try other dishes!

The meat was sweet and tender, and the sauce had a nice balance of savory flavor without overpowering the natural seafood taste. You can tell the quality of the seafood is solid. The sea urchin egg custard was super smooth and silky. The uni added a rich, slightly briny depth that paired really well with the delicate steamed egg. Definitely a standout if you like uni. Each dishes had its own highlight. Ambiance is modern and clean, giving a slightly upscale seafood house vibe. Service was decent and the food came out nicely presented. Prices are on the higher side, but for fresh seafood and quality ingredients, it feels reasonable for a special meal. Would come back again to try more of their live seafood options.

From the outside, this place looked small, but as you come inside it opens up to a pretty spacious dining room with multiple small private party rooms. They have several round tables that can accommodate 8-10 people with a lazy Susan in the middle for convenience to get to your entrees. Their dim sum menu is pretty big with photos and a box to indicate the number of orders you'd like. They offer all the traditional items from Fish Roe Siu Mai, Shrimp Hargow, steamed spare ribs, chicken feet, steamed and baked Bao's and various dessert items such as egg tarts, fried sesame balls with red bean, and their popular pomelo, mango sago cold soup. Everything sounds like everything went well, but there were some issues that make you think about giving them a second visit. Everything we ordered tasted well and typical of most Dim Sum restaurants. What differs and I wonder if it was just today or if it's a regular thing is one, we ordered sodas, specifically Diet Coke or Coke Zero and the waiter said they didn't have Diet Coke or Coke Zero or regular coke for all that matters. He said they only have sprite. So that was strike one. Strike 2 came in the form of a sauce. We ordered fried crispy shrimp balls and egg rolls, we asked for sweet and sour dipping sauce, the waiter said they don't have sweet and sour sauce. What Chinese restaurant does not have sweet and sour sauce. I thought that would be as common as ketchup to a burger place. So strike 2. Fortunately there was no specific strike 3 because we know that the service at Chinese restaurants is not going to be the best. I credit that to probably their language barrier so it seems like they don't hear you or purposely ignore you. In Hacienda Heights and RowlandHeights area, there are dozens of Chinese restaurants and I'm sure many that serve dim sum, so before I give them a second chance, I'd probably rather give another place a chance to get our business.

The food here is mediocre at best and the service is just awful. They make you feel like a burden and inconvenience right from the bat and refuse to acknowledge you. We were ordering with a waitress then she suddenly got frustrated when we tried to order the honey walnut shrimp and threw her hands in the air and called someone else over. The tall Asian guy who took our orders also made us seem like an inconvenience and even walked away in the middle of us ordering. He kept this same attitude throughout the whole time. My parents were excited for the 99 cent chicken deal they had and wanted to order more and the same guy refused to acknowledge their questions and ultimately told us it was 1 order per table. This is fine if that's their policy, but it was the way he was acting. He made us feel that we were cheap and stingy wanting to take advantage or get cheap eats. If you don't want people to order this cheap dish, don't have it on your menu or advertise it! Also, we ordered plenty of other foods. Beware because this place seems like they're scammy. I ordered a pot of rice and apparently they charge rice per person so regardless of how many people you have, you still get the same pot of rice but more expensive. This makes no sense even when I questioned them about it. When we tried to ask one of the cart ladies about ordering a football from the fried section, she gave us another item instead and when we opened it up, it wasn't what we wanted. They kept trying to push more items on our table to get our money even though we repeatedly said no. They also charge for sauce and didn't tell us. Another waitress (who we didn't even interact with throughout our time) chased me down trying to pressure me to tip more. I have no problem tipping, but when the service is like this, I am not going to leave a 20% tip like usual. I will say the kind busser here was exceptional and although he didnt speak English, he was so kind and honestly made my day. Everyone else here was rude and unwelcoming. The mediocre food here is not worth the outright disrespectful and terrible service.

Love the option of not only getting fried fish and able to get it grilled. Prices are very reasonable with options to upgrade your sides for a small price (ex: asparagus, etc). The staff are very nice. The restaurant itself is of a decent size and very clean. I love how there's an area to get your own to-go boxes and bags. Makes it convenient instead of waiting for someone to help you. Food Rating : I ordered the Grilled Rock Fish (regular seasoning) with side of French Fries. I love the butter sauce but the fish and fries are actually very dry and looked nothing like the photos. It is sad to say that the fish I make at home with my Suvie oven robot 3.0 looks better. However, my meal was under $20 with a drink so I really can't complain. I'll still come back for the convenience of being able to satisfy my fish craving at a "fast food" type of establishment where I can be in and out in less than an hour.
