Feb.24.2019 Make sure you check your bank account transactions because they add tips on your bill after you pay and leave!! they gave them self's an unauthorized $10 tip to my $54.80bill! after we left my husband received an alert on bank app and saw that they had adjusted and added the tip the total had gone up to $65.80 I went back to tell the lady and showed her proof of my bank statement and with no hesitation gave me my $10 that they had added on my transaction who knows how many of those they have pulled off!! read more

Delicious ceviche de camaron! The lady attending the restaurant was nice and polite. We were the only ones ordering, and once we did the lady got to mixing all the ingredients for the ceviche right in front of us. Five minutes later we were on our way to our car with our ceviche in hand! When we got to the plaza it's located in, we couldn't find it. As it is located on the second floor. The parking was hard to find, even though there's plenty of parking spots, because there are soooo many other shops that share the parking. Mariscos el rey never dissapoints. Seafood is always fresh and flavor is always consistent. The tacos de marlin and al governador are good and what can I say about the campechana seca. Simply delicious. We rarely go out there and eat because it is very difficult to find a table so we usually order a charola of campechana seca to go. Best seafood restaurant. Love the aguachiles and the empapelado de camaron. Service is amazing as well they're very kind :)

The food is great! Authentically prepared just like in Mexico . The only bad thing is that there are very little tables to sit at. Often times you have to wait till someone is finished so you can ask for their table, but it's worth it. My recommendation is to come in the evening when the crowds die down! read more

Authentic Mexican seafood! You must eat here. It's on the second floor, overlooking the plaza. You place order and pay and wait for food. The caldo de pescado was delicious and so is the ceviche de Camaron. All food looks and smells fresh, so give them a try. The only bad thing is the parking situation. read more

Tried the coctel de camaron because I was recommended it by a friend. First off, the ladies making the food use their hands for everything with no gloves, no serving spoons, just grabbing everything with their hands and even right after handling money. Okay, well On top of the bad sanitary practices, the coctel was horrible. No avocado, no tomato, minimal Clamato, just water, shrimp, and purple onion and cucumber. This is in review of a to go order. Excellent food, ceviche mixed with shrimp and octopus is delicious. Coctel de camaron is also delicious. Nothing is over spiced or over salted. Both included plenty of tostadas, tapatio and limes. The one complaint: service is slow! There was no line at the window, I assumed it would be a quick in and out, 30 minutes later I was still waiting. Over heard similar complaints from those sitting waiting for their food also. Seems unorganized and chaotic. Definitely would return because it's well priced and good but will order ahead or bring extra patience! read more

I came here to try the aguachile and I was not disappointed. I also had an order of oysters which tasted fresh. The mariscoco was delicious along with the coconut water they give you. There is only seating outside and I had to wait around for a few minutes. Fast service and great tasting mariscos. read more

I've been here before and to be honest remember why it's been years since I've come. The food is mediocre at best and what makes it worse is the service. Their menu isn't exactly extensive so why is it that for 3 fish tacos I've waited 48 minutes. There was one person before me and they got their food. After constantly grilling the lady behind the counter. We order 3 fish tacos and 1 ceviche. After 20 minutes I had to go ask the lady what was going on. She turned around and walked over my plate to the table, which is customary here. She went back and my cousin and I waited as her tacos were made. Now another 28ish minutes later we asked them and they had no idea what we were talking about. They forgot our food. She studied the receipt as if it were a foreign concept and finally just asked what we were missing. Disgusting! I will never be eating there again! So I'll start off on the customer service, It was horrible. The lady had me standing at the window for a good 5 minuets just waiting to be attended. No greeting, No Smile. As i was standing there i look over to the tables & there was another lady cleaning up the tables, She picks up basket of tostadas that the previous customer had left on the table, Takes it inside next to the baskets they have ready and prepared to give out for new customers! Well, I order a shrimp taco and a plate of Camarones a la diabla. (Paid 19 dollars! A bit pricey) Taco was bland! Shrimp in it was over cooked had a very dark brown color to it, To top it off they gave me the most oldest & driest limes ever, Gross! Once my plate of camarones a la diabla came out it looked decent, very good amount of shrimp. The only disappointing thing on the plate was the actual shrimp was Very! Very! Bland! No flavor whatsoever! I was actually pretty bummed out on my salad because it says on the menu, "All dinner plates include Rice, Beans, Tortillas & Salad with Avocado." Of course, Did not the include avocado. Won't recommend this place not even to my worse enemy! read more
