The pizza was fresh and delicious. It's not your cheapest option around, but the quality was there. So the cost didn't bother me. We also go a beet salad that stated there would be goat cheese on it- we didn't get much if any in ours, unfortunately. Staff were great and kind. Dining room was clean and neatly decorated. I'll be honest -- the first time I saw La Pasta in Lynwood, I wasn't super intrigued. But then I kept noticing police cars and fire trucks parked there during lunch. And if there's one thing I know, first responders always know where the good food is. That was enough for me to give it a shot. We decided to grab takeout, and wow... this place is legit. The lasagna was amazing. Not one of those basic ricotta-only lasagnas either -- this had a great cheese blend and an incredible sauce that really brought everything together. You can tell care goes into the food. The bread they serve tastes fresh like it's baked there, which makes a big difference. We also had the chicken fettuccine, and my daughter absolutely loved it, which is always a win as a parent. We've only done takeout so far, but this spot has officially upgraded our movie nights at home. One of these days we'll probably dine in, but even to-go, the quality holds up -- and that says a lot. Alison Moreno This was the worst service I have ever received at this restaurant, and I've come here many times on Friday .I had never seen Alison before. We've always had other servers, but never someone so arrogant and unprofessional. She forgot to place our order. After all the tables around us had already been served and we had been waiting over 30 minutes, she came back and asked us to repeat our order. Her excuse was that the kitchen didn't have a piece of equipment turned on, but everyone around us was already eating. Then, with a sarcastic smile, she said, "I'm not the one cooking. I can't do anything." We politely asked for water, and she literally slammed our glasses on the table. Later, she brought out a dish we never ordered and dropped the plate on the table. When I told her I didn't want her serving us anymore, she arrogantly replied that we had to keep her because the other server was busy training other server. At that point, I asked for my food to go. She turned around with a mocking smile and eventually brought my daughter's pasta. I could clearly see my salad sitting at the counter while she kept walking around without bringing it. Several minutes later, she finally brought it, but my husband's food still hadn't arrived. Another server came out of the kitchen to apologize on her behalf. Alison never came out. She stayed hidden in the kitchen and never once apologized for forgetting to place our order. It would have been so simple to say, "I forgot to put in your order. I'm very sorry. It will be out in a few minutes." Instead, she tried to cover it up and continued with her rude and arrogant attitude. This was unacceptable service. I honestly don't understand how she is working as a server if this is how she treats customers. If you don't know how to provide good service and have no interest in treating people with respect, this is not the right job for you. Alison Moreno Alison Moreno was the server who gave us the worst service we have ever experienced at this restaurant. We are not complaining about the food--the food was as good as it has always been. Our complaint is entirely about the service we received from Alison. She forgot to place our order, and because of that, neither my husband nor I ended up eating our meals. We were not asking for a discount or anything for free. We simply expected to receive the service we were paying for. We have always been generous customers and normally leave well over a 20% tip. This time, we only left 15%, which was more than Alison deserved based on the service she provided. I can't help but feel that we were treated differently. Unfortunately, there is a stereotype that Mexicans don't tip well, and after the way we were treated, it seemed like that may have been the reason we received such poor service. We hope management takes this feedback seriously because no customer should be treated this way. read more

The veggies were firm but seasoned just right, and that sauce on anything was phenomenally yum. The closest i could compare the shroom sauce to might be the steak diane sauce at Cheesecake factory but while theirs is savory rich, this one has like depth. LOVED THIS PLACE! From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. They had a bunch of roses and heart decorations for Valentine's Day and there was plenty of available seating inside. Elgar greeted me warmly and was incredibly helpful and kind throughout my entire time dining in. I asked whether I should get the Chicken Cognac or the Chicken Parm and he suggested the Cognac, which was BOMB! One of the best chicken dishes I've had in quite some time. The chicken was cooked to perfection, the sauce was just the right consistency, and both the potatoes and veggies were well seasoned. Lots of food and great quality so you feel as though you get your money's worth. They also bring out complimentary bread with oil & vinegar which hit the spot, kudos to them for making sure the bread was fresh, warm, and soft with a nice crunchy exterior. You wouldn't think from the location, but the food here is delicious. We got to try a lot and everything was great. My favorites were the lasagna (which had a hint of something sweet, perhaps nutmeg?), and the lemon caper chicken. Great flavor! The rigatoni was great, as was the alfredo, garlic bread, and seafood pasta. We had the desserts which were unique: the bomba which was a chocolate and vanilla ice cream coated in a hard chocolate shell, a pistachio gelato dessert which was delicious, and the cheesecake which was also so good. I usually avoid cheesecake at restaurants cause they're all the same, but this one had a creme brûlée mascarpone crust and was really really good. Great service as well! read more

First and foremost, La Pasta has a very cute and warm environment. The decor is subtle, clean, and welcoming it's the kind of place you want to sit down and enjoy a meal in. Now, the food. I started with the garlic rolls. The flavor and seasoning were actually really good, but they were a bit overcooked. The bread was pretty hard almost hurts the roof of your mouth when you bite into it and a little dry. The flavor is definitely there, though. I'd recommend maybe using a different bread or leaving them in the oven for a bit less time. The chicken Alfredo had decent flavor, but there really wasn't anything special about it. It was pretty boring and kind of bland overall, and definitely under-seasoned. The chicken was cut into very small pieces, which felt unnecessary and made the dish less satisfying. On top of that, the portion size was small for the price, which made it feel overpriced. That said, I've had other pasta dishes here in the past and overall they are flavorful and good they just seem to consistently need a bit more seasoning, and the portion sizes still don't quite match the prices. The Caesar salad honestly felt like very little effort was put into it. It looked like a packaged supermarket salad, and parts of the lettuce seemed like they may have been a day old. A classic Caesar should feel fresh and intentional, and this one just came across as cheap and store-bought. The pizza, on the other hand, was good. The crust was really well done great cook and texture, and overall enjoyable. I've been here a few times, and each time the restaurant has been mostly empty, maybe one or two other tables. I truly think this place has a lot of potential. The food doesn't need a full overhaul just a few small adjustments, which honestly feel like easy fixes. I got both their fettuccine alfredo pasta and boscaiola. Afredo is super creamy and thiccc and while it was good, my fav was their boscaiola! BBQ chicken pizza is also great - pretty big slices. Their tiramisu is SOLID and my only complaint is that i wish i had more (btw portion size is pretty big to begin with) overall, if there's one thing they're doing right - it's flavor. A little skeptical before arriving to la pasta was really excited to try there pasta before arriving the ambiance when you're inside is nice very calm chill vibes beautiful decor aesthetically pleasing 10/10 as far as my order was mozzarella sticks for the appetizer and I'd rate those 6.5/10 looked as if they came out frozen box but never the less wasn't terrible decent I'd say. For my drink I ordered an orange sunset and OMG PHENOMENAL JOB ! the drink felt so balanced and refreshing and really exceeded expectations as far as the drinks side of things .for pasta I had got Rigatoni bolognese and this other pasta that was creamy with broccoli the Rigatoni bolognese I'd say was a 7/10 felt as if the dish could be missing something I know with minor tweaks they can really elevate that pasta for sure ! and same thing for the other pasta as well would I come again for the pasta ? Probably not it didn't have that impact on me where I'd come again for only and specifically this pasta. But definitely would go again for that orange sunset !
