This is one of our go-to spots whenever we come down to San Diego. We were visiting from Las Vegas and everything was really good. I loved the variety of sauces they offer, from the classic hot sauces to the spicier, more flavorful ones. The service was amazing. Everyone greeted us, and our waitress was very attentive. The restaurant has a true hidden-gem feel, and the ambiance was great. The micheladas were good, but a bigger glass would make them even better. It would also be cool to see a few more michelada options, maybe with cucumber, shrimp, or orange, to help them stand out like the oyster and shrimp plates. Amazing find! We wanted to try a new Mexican restaurant and this place did not disappoint! We were truly pleased with the service and the food. We got the Gobernador and fish tacos, carne asada fries, dozen rack of oysters with ceviche and seafood soup. Just check out the pictures! Everything taste so good. The meat, fish, shrimp, etc were cooked to perfection. Nothing was overcooked. The only issue we had was the location. We nearly missed the restaurant (we didn't see the sign) but my husband called and they confirmed their location. There's parking in front and behind the restaurant building. The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and were super accommodating when we asked if they were dog friendly considering we had our pup and didn't see a yard. I love mariscos and we ordered aguachile the verde was so flavorful and had such a good spice I didn't even need to add extra chile the flavor on its own was exceptional. Been wanting to check this spot out since they opened up back in January. They took over the space that used to be Hero's cafe off of National City Blvd. Me and my friend wanted to order beers however they haven't gotten their permits so just regular drinks for now. The person who helped us said the permits should be finalized soon. When you walk in, you scan a QR code at your table for the menu. As for the food, I ordered the 50/50 aguachiles and a fish taco dorado. Both so good packed with flavor and fresh. The aguachiles were tangy and spicy and had super fresh avocado and the taco was nice and crispy, the fish was well cooked and not fishy at all. However It was a little over loaded with cheese but that's an easy fix. This is walking distance from my house so I will be a regular here for sure when I'm craving Mariscos. read more

The location is great, and has parking next door due to the shopping center. Our drinks were served by one person and the food taken by a different person. This led to 2 different checks. A drink check and a food check. We ordered 2 orders of the oysters, we never received the second order. The first order arrived but we never got any plates. We waited over 45 minutes for the first order of oysters and another 15 minutes for my ceviche. We finished our drinks, and the woman never came back to offer more. An hour past by and we decided to ask for the check and go somewhere else. I feel like it's two different businesses out of one location, almost as if they are just starting off. 2 stars instead of 1 because the seafood actually tasted okay.
