Excellent food I've had a campechana here and today I had a tostada. Both times I've eaten here the food was excellent and the service was great. I had high hopes for this place , couldn't find good parking, and had to park at the gas station , close by . The cook and young women didn't speak English so couldn't get exactly what I wanted on my food. Asked for Supreme asada tacos and Supreme asada Burrito. The tacos were bland and were just meat and corn tortilla , i personally had to put my own toppinps on, and there wasn't much to choose from. The tacos didn't have cheese or cream or good salsa on them . The burrito was done right cream, cheese , ect, but just tasted ok, not flavorful. Seems like a family business, which I would like to support, but their favorite style isn't pleasing to me . Will not be back . read more

The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly! The Good: OK, so these people do not lack flavor in their food, I will give them that. The service was eeeeh friendly. Hmm, that's it. The Bad: No wifi. (No big deal) Unfortunately, it wasn't clean. The tables and chairs are very dated and falling apart. We found this out by my husband placed his arm on the table, and the top lifted and almost flipped our drinks. The restrooms are... let's say they need someone to repair and clean them that actually gives a sh..... nevermind. The Ugly: Ok, so when you walk into any place with menus, you would expect the menu to be accurate or close to accurate. That's not what you're getting here. The menus (some of them anyway) are labeled "prices are subject to change without notice." ummm. Ook... No! But hubs said, "Let's give it a fair shake..." So the molcajete was 18 on the menu, yet in reality.. for that day.. who knows, was 26.99. Everything was up by at least by 2 dollars and some almost by 10. This is very ugly business. Many people would agree that when you walk into a restaurant, most will not sit and ponder the front photo of the menu. You're going to open it up because you're hungry and you want to see what there is and you should trust the prices that are in there, or at least be told by the staff that "hey, the prices are not accurate on the menu." Concluding... I can deal with the good, I can deal with the bad, but because of the ugly of this restaurant, there's no possible way I'll be returning. If you do eat here, please make sure that you have at least a $100 extra because you never know what it's going to cost you that day. A FEW DAYS LATER... I did discover after reading and speaking to others that they have been doing this for about 9ish months now. When we went to ask the ?Manager?, she said "is too expensive to change the menus" Hmm, use laminated paper (easily cleanable!) until you can save that money. Always amazing food! Called in a to go order and when I showed up, this place was packed!! Live music drinks flowing and happy people!!

The food is great! Service is okay. Their Michelada's are AMAZING! Shrimp cocktails and shrimp tacos are the best!!! They have Oyster shots which are also BOMB! soo sooo good! The only thing I don't like is the small dirty bathroom and the service could be better. They literally forgot an entire shrimp cocktail the last time we went in, but still tried to charge me for it. read more

We yelped this restaurant while out in Atwater for a Baseball game. Unfortunately after our meal the prices on our tab were different from the prices on the menu as advertised. When I asked the waitress about the price increase she informed me that the fish came from Mexico and the pricing changed daily based on their supply. LOL!! In a little town like Merced that was no where near an ocean, I cringed. I asked them to show me where it clearly states that on their menu and they couldn't. I asked what part of Mexico the fish came from and they couldn't tell me. I asked why I wasn't informed prior to ordering and they didn't respond. I informed them that price gouging In California was illegal under Penal Code Section 396. This business practices are unfair and unethical. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!!! They charged me $26 for a Molcajete that was supposed to be $18. I asked them why and the waiter told me they changed their prices and they haven't updated their menu's. I don't know why anyone would give this place a star, if any. I ordered 2 drinks, a dozen oysters, and 5 tacos to go and my bill was $60+. When I confronted my server, and she brought it up to the manager, I was directed to the bottom of their menu - "prices subject to change without notice." I wasn't aware that you can raise the price from what's listed. I understand if the menu would've stated "market price", which usually applies to crab, or lobster, not oysters and tacos, but whatever. The bonus was when I opened up the container for the tacos to go - see image. Let me know if you would pay $17 for 5 greasy tacos that look like that! The food was delicious & we had a good service from the waitress! The wait was about 15-20min until we got our food which wasn't too bad. It was my husband and I first time there when they had a live band which was awesome! Great, lively atmosphere which got us hooked! Definitely will be coming back again. read more

Fresh and Delicious Mexican Seafood Restaurant in Atwater! I was skeptical at first since it's in Atwater but it definitely blew us away!! Everything from food, presentation, and service was amazing! It literally felt like we were at a restaurant next to the beach! Everything we had made us "wow!" We ordered Michelada, Agua Chile, Oysters, and Seafood Molcajete. Also handmade tortillas came with the Molcajete order which was a tasty surprise. We are so glad we discovered this gem and will definitely be visiting this place whenever we are in the area. I'm excited to try more of their menu items. If you love Mexican Seafood, this is the place to check out. read more

I ordered 2 fish tostadas. They were fully loaded, fresh & delicious! The only down side was the delay in getting the food to our table. For 2 tostadas and a shrimp taco it took about 15-18 minutes. Best seafood Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Had the molcajete. It was delicious!!!! Mine had steak, chicken, chorizo, shrimp, and grilled cheese. My two kids were there and there was so sweet to them. Service was awesome, food was quick, and atmosphere was great. We also had the bacon wrapped shrimp. Had dinner here back in July and everything was 4 star good. Had the same dish for dinner here yesterday and I was disappointed. We were a party of 6. We waited patiently and had to ask for chips and salsa well after we placed our order. Our server told us they had no more chips and it was "too late" for her to make them. Really? It's Saturday night and by 4pm you run out of chips? They didn't have diet soda of any kind. No Aguas Frescas. No iced tea. No lemonade. Only some select sodas and jarritos and beer. I settled on water! Our rice and beans were cold. Everyone was almost done with their dinner when the last order for 1 of our party, crawfish, came out. My fried Huachinango fish was over fried and consequently oily. It caused me an upset stomach later on. Definitely not worth the $20. Someone else's fried fish was under cooked. The ladies restroom didn't have toilet paper and no running water so the ladies couldn't wash their hands, luckily we had hand wipes. The music was too loud! We could not hear each other. Maybe this was a bad day for the restaurant. I will try them once more in the future and if this happens again, I will walk out without eating. read more

The waitress that I had was really nice and always attentive If we were in need of anything. The food is also really good. But other than that I'd never go back. The owner is a whole other story. Went here tonight for a family dinner. It was a nice environment, however the music was a bit louder than I'd like. The menu had a lot of great options and everything we ordered was flavorful and well cooked. They were a bit busy so our food took a little bit to come but not outrageous considering it came out hot and freshly cooked. The waitress was nice and helpful. Overall it was a good experience with tasty food and good service. We will definitely be going back. read more
