I ordered albóndigas through DoorDash, and while the meatballs tasted fresh, I noticed that some of the meat in the soup seemed more like beef stew meat and didn't taste as fresh as the rest of the dish. The broth also tasted like it may have been older, while other ingredients seemed newly prepared. I understand that restaurants can get very busy, but customers appreciate consistency and freshness. If an item isn't available or isn't at its best that day, I would rather be told than have older ingredients mixed in with freshly prepared food. The food was not good at all. We have been going there for years and this is our GoTo spot. We would recommend everyone, but recently the prices have gone way up and the food quality has gone down. We came here to celebrate a friend's birthday and spent over $100, but the experience was extremely disappointing. We waited almost over an hour for our meals. I understand that sometimes food can take time, but this was far too long. When the food finally arrived, it was cold. The fajitas which should have come out sizzling were barely warm. I politely mentioned to the manager that the food was a little cold, hoping it could be warmed, but instead I was made to feel awkward when she said, "Well it can't be, I just watched it come out of the kitchen," implying I was exaggerating. Honestly, I'd much rather just quietly eat, leave a tip, and go home I hate having to say anything at all. The fajitas were supposed to come with guacamole, but what was served was barely a smear. When I asked if that was it, the server asked, "You want a little more?" despite there being almost nothing on the plate. They also tried charging extra for sour cream. When I order enchiladas like what? 2$ for a dollop of sour cream is crazy. I thought we were being messed with to the point I expected cameras to pop out and someone to yell, "You've been punked!" Service overall was very slow we even waited a long time just for them to come ask what drinks we wanted. Staff acted condescending when we raised concerns, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. Because of this, we didn't even stay for dessert or sing happy birthday the special occasion was ruined. We didn't even want to eat the point we took food home. So sad because I've eaten here before and had a good experience, and we were hoping for the same this time but that was not the case at all. The fajitas were refunded, which I appreciate, but it did not make up for the overall poor experience. I wish they could have made this right. The refund didn't not make up for the ruined occasion. The restaurant is well decorated and offers a lot of space. The booths are a bit awkward if you are short. You can't move the table. The food was pretty good. The beans were ok and the rice was decent. My tostada was ok too. Overall the dish lacked flavor. Same with the cheese enchiladas. The red sauce is pretty standard. They serve chips and salsa and my chips were stale and the salsa was very mild. The server sit at least 3-5 tables. I saw 3 dashers walk in AFTER my friend, and leave BEFORE my friend. My friend did not leave the building until 5:17, and he didn't even have the order in his hand. He walked out empty handed because the order was not ready still. The lady finally ran out the door and gave the order as soon as my friend walked out. Which means the order was already ready. EVEN AFTER WE LEFT AND DELIVERED THE FOOD, the customer calls us back and says "I've received a completely wrong order." Completely wrong. They have given her less than what she paid for, which was 2 taco salads, and they've given her like 1 taco or something. Isabella's has been a family favorite restaurant for years. In the past two months we've visited twice and the food has gotten dramatically worse. Everything tastes bland and flavorless, the red and green sauces are nasty, drink sizes shrank, and portions have gone down. Our server for one of the visits was also extremely inattentive, failing to visit us even once after dropping off our food and making us go up to get our bill and pay. One of the best restaurants in Atwater! Although a small town, Isabella's really stands out. First off the building really stands out with adequate parking. Going inside, you're greeted with a unique environment that you really can't experience at newer restaurants these days. The service is always exceptional but what really tops it off is the food. I've had their Molcajetes, Wet Burritos, rice, beans, and potatoes. Chips and salsa. All just so delicious. However, my most recent visit I did enjoy a delicious molcajete. It packs so much flavor and freshness. If you're not feeling that, definitely have to try out the Milanesa. Most of their entrees come with rice, beans, and potatoes served on a large plate. We had a buffet style reception in the back room of the facility. I made reservations for 60 people. We ended up having more people than expected showed up. The waitress was very rude so I didn't want to bother her by asking for more food to be brought out for the extra people. When all the food and guest were gone she tells me that they charge per person and not by what was served. If I would have known I would be charged per person I wish she would have told me so I could request the the food for said amount of people. They also charge automatically charge for gratuity, so if the service is subpar you still end up paying for the gratuity. I had previously used this facility and had requested food for the same amount of people and I would be charged for the sixty people even if they didn't show up, so this time she must have just wanted to seize the opportunity. So buyer beware, you are told it's $25 person, but after its all said and done you end up paying closer to $35 per person. read more

The staffs were very friendly, but the food was not. I have a family of 5 and everything we had was flavorless.
