Ordered fish tacos and they were a rating of 3/5. Ordered a mixta tostada, which needed to be marinated in lime 2/5 and fish ceviche tostada 3/5. Clean restaurant.

Excellent food. Everyone needs to give it try. Shrimp tacos are amazing! recommend

This is about the CUCUMBER AGUA FRESCA aka AGUA DE PEPINO. The regular size is only $2.76! This is the most refreshing thing I've had in a long while. It is not watered down like some other places and the crushed pepino floats generously at the bottom. I also appreciate the paper straws although once every 5 visits they give me a plastic one...

I wouldn't have known it, but this Mexican restaurant is totally cool, but not in the traditional sense. It's set back, so you don't see it right away from the sidewalk. The restaurant is super casual; you order from an outdoor window. I ordered tacos and a strawberry lemonade. You pay at the window, and your food is delivered to your table. My food and drink were delicious. My friends said they are known for their ceviche, which they've both have had in the past and say it is the best. I saw it being delivered to nearly everyone else around me, and it is enormous. It's more of what you order when you're super hungry. What's cool is the seating outdoors. It's big enough for a super large party or reception. It's not enclosed, just covered overhead, so you get to eat outdoors without the sun or rain beating on your head.

I had a chance to visit this place about a year ago and I was not impressed or even liked that place for that matter. That does not mean I disliked it I was just neutral. Untill last week. I made a quick stop and ordered a couple of tacos(asada and chorizo) and a wet shrimp burrito. I have to say I really liked it. It is definitely good food for an adequate price. Give it a try. Oh and they have a 10% off of you check in. It's not much but definitely better than nothing.

Really like the 7 seas soup. (Siete Mares) Has good flavor and I really like the fish has no bone the shrimp are already peeled which is awesome because I don't like fighting with my food the broth has a good flavor and the amount is OK I have not gotten other food from here the only thing I've had is the seven seas soup to go I've gone back a couple times for that alone. My only complaint is I wish I had a really nice salsa to go along with it I feel that Tapatio would kill the flavor friends of mine have gone there to get other food and recommend this place to me the Michelada was good too.

Dry, flavorless jaiva "tostada" u end up preparing it urself. Might as well mk it at home.
    Adriana M.

Don't u hate dry flavorless Jaive?! Me too. I hate when restaurants serve that dryass jaiva u hv to prepare on ur plate. U hv to keep asking for more limes & more limes, then add ketchup & salt just to get the jaiva to taste alright. YEAH UNFORTUNATELY THAT'S HOW THEY SERVE IT HERE! Also hv I ever heard of a Mexican restaurant that doesn't serve a house salsa?! Weird right? All they hv is Tapatio. If u can tell the magnitude of a restaurant by the salsa they serve...what would u think of a place that only serves TAPATIO?! I KNOW SMDH Go elsewhere if u want a good tostada de jaiva. THE POSITIVES: The fish tacos are abundant, filled to the rim & overflowing with goodness. That's about the only thing that's good on the menu. What would take these Tacos towards greatness would be a nice salsita Mexicana. They fall short but are still the best thing on the Menu. They serve beer They hv karaoke They hv an outside seating area (no dogs allowed) They hv a side shop that sells dessert (looks really clean) Why I come here? Fish tacos DAMN. I WISH THEY MADE A HOUSE SALSA...

El Moreno is the opposite -- it hits every single time, no matter what. Before coming here, I thought aguachiles were the top tier... then I tried their salsa morena and that changed everything. Now I don't even bother with anything else -- morena sauce on EVERYTHING. That sauce is on another level. The ceviche mixta with morena sauce is straight fire. We even ordered two big charolas for my son's first birthday party, and I'm not exaggerating -- almost everyone at the party kept asking where we got the ceviche from. That tells you all you need to know. Only downside is the parking can be a little tight since it's on a small corner, but honestly, once you taste the food, you forget about that real quick. If you go, do yourself a favor: get the salsa morena on everything. You can thank me later.

By the end, I wasn't sure if I'd eaten seafood or just done vocal warm-ups. The good news: the food holds its own. The seafood is super fresh, which is a blessing when you need something to focus on besides the bass drop. It's a cozy little spot--parking lot fits about 11 cars, so it's like musical chairs on asphalt. Street parking is an option, just keep an eye out for that street sweeping sign unless you want to donate to the city's "surprise fund." Bottom line: great for a lively, no-fuss meal. Just bring your appetite, your patience, and maybe a subtle hand signal system.

Completely next level. You can tell everything--from the chicken to the fish, shrimp, and even the sides--was made with real care and love by the new owners. Now, I don't usually eat beans, but I kept hearing about the red beans and rice, so I grabbed some for my husband (and of course had to try them myself)... and wow. I was in heaven. Sooooo good!!! The owners were in the kitchen both times, and the food was excellent. A few weeks later, I returned when the younger staff was working. They accidentally forgot to charge me for my meal. Thankfully, I'm an honest person and reminded them. That visit, the food was much heavier on the lemon pepper seasoning than usual. Today, I ordered the fish and shrimp dinner, and as soon as I opened my container, I noticed the food looked much darker than on my previous visits. It seemed like the fish and shrimp may have been fried in the same batter or grease used for chicken instead of the usual cornmeal fish batter. The fish also had an aftertaste that reminded me of old chicken grease, which was disappointing. I know this restaurant is capable of serving great food because I've experienced it firsthand. My suggestion would be to provide additional training to the staff so the food is prepared consistently, regardless of who is in the kitchen. Consistency is what keeps customers coming back.

I ordered my usual and my mom opted for the Camárones Zarandeado which ultimately is a generous portion of shrimp grilled to perfection coated in some sort of mild spicy seasoning. I always look forward to the chips and salsa as this place offers the spiciest salsa I've ever had. I was practically in tears due to how spicy there green salsa is, and I love spicy food lol. I even overhead another guest compliment the owner on the spicy salsa as they were leaving. My pescado zarandeado was delicious as always and the shrimp was good too. Though i'm not personally quite fond of unpeeled shrimp (with the whiskers and eyes attached) my mom loved it! There was even a friendly local who arrived shortly after us and offered my mom and I a few beers as he had a 12 pack to himself. If you are a true foodie and don't mind the aesthetics ( as it is a food truck situated in an empty lot with an outside seating area) you'll absolutely love this place. The owner is also very kind and attentive which I appreciate. I'll always continue to support this local business and I encourage you to give it a try as well!

The sauce in the bag felt a bit... watered down like it went for a swim before meeting the seafood. For a party of four, we ordered: SHRIMP LOVER COMBO, LOBSTER ROLL, SIDE OF RICE, BASKET OF SEASONED FRIES, AND MAD DOG XXX SAUCE on the side. Portion-wise, we left comfortably full and only slightly questioning our life choices. The Shrimp Lover Combo can't be modified. We chose Stinkin' Special and Spicy, which came with a plastic glove so you can dig in like a civilized gremlin. The Stinkin' Special was a generous blasts of Old Bay and enough garlic to ward off vampires. The Mad Dog sauce wasn't shock-your-soul spicy, but it definitely lingered. I was still feeling its friendly burn hours later and well into the evening. The LOBSTER ROLLL was tasty but fleeting. It's one of those dishes that makes you realize the meal is almost over right when you're hitting peak satisfaction. A little emotional damage there. We wrapped it all up with deep-fried Oreos and ice cream, which was an instant win. Sweet, cooling relief after all that heat.
