I went in once for two orders of birria and between two ppl you can definitely eat up to 2-4 times each. Portions are great for the price. Birrieria Gonzalez: Location: Corner Rosecrans/Long Beach Blvd Compton CA Parking: problematic, it's inside shopping center. Lots of cars parked illegally along side of other cars. Cleanliness: C grade. I sat here for two hours and no one came out to clean the tables or sweep the floor's. I would note, they do have a A grade from public health and a help wanted sign out front so I will give them the benefit of doubt there just under staff right now, but still someone should clean the tables. Environment: small location only three tables that sit 4 and a little one for two right next to the trash can. The rest of the seating is bar style along the windows. Loud music, mostly old school hip hop and oldies. I like it this type of music but may be annoying to others. They should tone it down. Customer service: C grade and that's me being nice. Staff don't greet you, no one is smiling, happy or say thank you. No one asked if I needed anything else. I asked for chili salsa and the lady told me she already put some in my bag. Note, I never got a bag and she didn't give any salsa. No biggie it's not good for me anyways. Orders take a while to come out, we waited for over 30 min for two tacos and one birria bowl. Food quality: medium to average, so all be nice and give them C grade. The consume taste good however, it was very oily. I tried to skim some of the oil off the top but it was throughout. Tacos dorados equally oily and the meat was under seasoned. Surprisingly, the meat had very little fat, so I don't know why it's so oily. Price: $$ Summary: this would not be my first, second or even my third choice Birrieria spot. They definitely have some work to do to get it on my top three. However, if your in the area and you feel like eating Birrieria, I encourage you to try it out for yourself and post what you think. To be fair I'll be back in a few weeks for a follow up review. This place is not worth it at all. I've tried different birria places and only came here because my usual spot is closed on Mondays. Never again will I return. The burrito is the size of a taco bell $1 burrito, but they charge $8. It had more rice than meat. The quesataco had no cheese whatsoever. And they charge $3. I bought $44 worth of food and the lady giving out the orders STILL gave me attitude when I asked for extra salsa. Salsa which was just stupid spicy instead of flavorfully spicy.
