Eat all you can seafood and sides. Problem during our dinner (family of 15+) -- they always shortchange what we order. It's either there's not enough crab legs or entirely no sausages (and when we tell them it's missing -- we really don't get anything at all). You order the sides -- something is always missing!!! We ordered rice -- they provided towards the last 15minutes of the meal even if we asked it upon ordering our first bags. Service was generally slow (took way loooong before getting started). They were busy, most servers were nice, but some were just annoyed we keep saying we were missing something from the order. Not the best spot to be honest. read more

We visited this seafood boil restaurant for a close friend's birthday celebration, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from start to finish. They offer all you can eat options, the restaurant was very busy, and there was a bit of a wait. Once seated, we were placed at a table in the middle of the restaurant that was uneven and had to be adjusted multiple times because it kept wobbling. The menus we received were extremely worn, making many of the items hard to read. We requested replacement menus, but the new ones were in similar condition. Our server seemed impatient when answering questions about the menu. Friend asked if she could substitute an item because she has a crab allergy. Waiter told us no substitutions were allowed. After explaining that the request was due to an allergy, the response was essentially, "Then maybe don't order that." Rude & unprofessional. When our food arrived, the portions were nice, but the overall quality was underwhelming. We all ordered different sauces, yet they all tasted exactly the same, just pure garlic. The biggest issue was the service. After our food was delivered, we rarely saw our server again. She was more attentive to other tables, our table received no follow up after food arrived me needed more lemons salt and pepper. Birthday girl received a sweet treat, complimentary. That was nice BUT they were cold and hard as a rock. They remained untouched. Considering the cost, it wasn't worth it. The poor service, menu issues, and disappointing food? we won't be returning. The restaurant was humid and stank. The floors under the table are filthy. Stepped on thick red sauce that had spilled prior to my seating and been left under the table, earning me a lesson to refrain from wearing white shoes while dining at such a... lively establishment. The wait for a server to tend to us took over 10 minutes; no problem, you guys looked busy for a Tuesday afternoon. Tables seated beside mine were noticeably upset waiting for their server. They had waited fifteen minutes before anyone came by to close out their check. As for the food? Forgettable. You've got the tiniest crabs in those bags, the dirtiest crawfish I have ever received in a boil, and a mediocre sauce to bring it all together. Servers are friendly enough though I don't care for all of that axx-kissing anyway. Either hire more people to help them out or train them to be more efficient. Almost felt bad watching them struggle between angry table to angry table but amusement won out. Didn't catch her name but one of your servers had long fake nails on with polish. I've been to the one in Vegas. So thought we'd try one closer to home in Carson. Service was good. Wait staff was friendly. Didn't do much checking up on us though. Ran out of water pretty quickly at the table and it was not refilled the entire time we were eating. The main difference that I didn't like about this location vs the Vegas location, everyone shared the same bag of food. So couldn't get it the way I wanted. Had to get the Assassin level of spicy on the side. Which I was charged an additional $3 for. My friend wanted spicy, and again had to pay an additional $3 for. So an additional $6 because 2 of our group if 4 can't handle too much spice; so we had to order mild. Seems like they nickel and dime you at the Carson location; whereas the Vegas location, each person got their own bag the way they want it for the same price. $39.99 for all you can eat seafood boils not bad though. And the food was good. It was pretty loud in there. We couldn't really talk too much because of the noise level. Not just with the other patrons in the establishment but also the music playing. Disappointed with this place. I wanted to do something nice for my mom and myself because we never had a seafood boil before. I found this place on Instagram and thought 40$ was good why not try it out? It looked delicious. One plate I was charged 40$ per person for all you can eat. If we can't finish our plate we would then be charged $20. I found all of this out once we were seated. I didn't want to make a fuss so we sat and ate our food.... Long story short $95 was not worth it. At least give me black muscles to take home. The waiter seemed nice but his suggestions were needed as I didn't really need an extra crab. He never said hello or offer assistance. I assumed I needed to write down my name, and did. I heard the man as a male server if he could take another table. The guy was honest & said he needed a few more minutes until another server came to work. After being seated, we were told the rules of all you can eat. Bummer! 1. Only the first round includes snow crab legs. 2. EVERY person at the table has to order all you can eat or NO ONE gets it!! 3. You are charged for any leftover food. Wtf!! We stuck with crab legs. As for taste, it's okay. There's more of a dry spice taste in butter oil than actual flavor/salt. I doubt if I'd run to return here even though it's 5 minutes from my house. Visited a friend in the area and this was our last stop such a great choice! We came around 6 PM on a Tuesday and hit the perfect time for unlimited shrimp, crab, clams, corn, and more. Everything was fresh and packed with flavor. Gio was our server and he was awesome. Super friendly and attentive the whole time. Service was 10/10! Crab N Spice in Carson is a seafood feast chain (other locations are in Ventura, Oxnard, and Palmdale etc). Its primary highlight is the all you can eat buffet for $39.99. This place has a line out the door at times and it's popular on social media (TikTok and Instagram) so I assume they have a good social media person. The Captain's Choice Combo ($45) was what the 2 of us shared--it was packed with snow crab legs, shrimp, mussels, clams, 1 corn, sausage, and potatoes. It came drenched in their signature Cajun-style sauce mixed with the lemon seasoning, which was flavorful and had a nice kick. We got ours mild and it def had some spice. We also tried the clam chowder ($8), which was rich, thick, and filling. However, it was a bit light on actual clams. They also have this option in a bread bowl. We got a side of French bread ($4) which came with melted butter (I should've asked for garlic butter). Unfortunately, the soda machine system was down during our visit, which was frustrating, especially in an all-you-can-eat setting. The bathrooms were messy and could definitely use more attention. Service was spotty--likely because of the buffet-style, AYCE setup. You pay with your server in the back. The meal ended on a high note with their freshly made beignets ($5)--warm, sweet, and powdered to perfection. You can get these with Nutella. It's right next door to Crumbl so I was debating Crumbl dessert or beignets but I'm glad I got them because you don't see them many places besides New Orleans - they are the same price as a Crumbl Cookie and I can get a cookie anytime. It's also next to a Verizon store. Parking lot in front is not that big but there's parking nearby at Raising Cane's or even across the street at the Carson Mall / IKEA. My friend saw a reel on Instagram about this place and it's all you can eat for $39.99 and INSISTED that we had to check it out. Lo and behold--we actually went on the Saturday before Mother's Day, and they weren't running the special... But we had driven so far so we decided to stay. The outside was packed with people waiting for their names to be called. The inside was packed as well and a little chaotic. We were told our wait would be 40-60 minutes. So we waited outside. When we were finally seated, our waitress was very nice and pleasant. She was so quite apologetic about the wait. We all ordered crab boils of some sort. I also ordered a shrimp basket and my friend ordered garlic noodles. There was no consensus on quality. My opinion is that, compared to other crab boils I've had in LA, this place was lower on the flavor list. Although they had a variety of flavors to choose from, I got the most popular one (their signature flavor) and found that the sauce the crab, potatoes and corn was in was actually not very flavorful. It was DRENCHED in fat though (couldn't tell if it was butter or oil or both). I could see the garlic and some spices, but struggled to taste it. BUT the amount of crab clusters they gave in a pound was definitely more than what I'm used to at places like The Boiling Crab and Star Crab. The fried shrimp was disappointing because it was half battered and not crispy. My two friends did not agree on quality either. We all had the same flavor. One completely loved hers and kept talking about how good it was. The other said it was mid, too greasy and that she'd had better. The garlic noodles were a hit, and the waitress brought us rice on the house for the wait. I will not come back here, simply because I've had too many better places. Pretty solid seafood boil place, it was a Wednesday evening, looked packed, but the 7 of us were seated right away. I got 1lb of shrimp "all in" sauce which was about ($20, its market price). You have the option to add extras like sausage, quail eggs, etc for extra. My husband did and everything was pretty good! We did ask for extra salt and lemon for dipping! I got the "spicy" level and honestly was like Tapatio on SOME areas of the dip, otherwise wasn't really spicy for those that are in to spicy flavors fyi, but I thought the flavor was pretty good! My son got the popcorn chicken with came with fries ($9), he shared with his sister and honestly I was able to eat some too it was a decent size! The place is pleasant, and the food is delicious. We enjoyed the all-you-can-eat seafood special, but after the first round, the crab legs and sides were no longer complimentary. Additional charges applied for crab legs, lobster, and other items. One positive aspect was that when I informed the waitress that it was my son's birthday, I had hoped they would sing to him, as they did earlier for another customer celebrating theirs. The waiter kept attending to tables with orders. After a large reservation group arrived, we were ready to leave since we had finished. I politely asked a male waiter for a to-go box, a bag, and the bill. He agreed but ignored our request because it wasn't his table. I was already upset that no one acknowledged my son's birthday with a song. Later, another waitress helped us get a box and a bag, but not the bill. We spent $162 on our meal and expected at least a bit of consideration. Eventually, another waitress brought the bill. Our original waitress finally arrived, apologized, and gave my son a piece of cake, wishing him a happy birthday--something that felt missing earlier. I felt disappointed and, honestly, discriminated against based on how they treated us compared to other customers. Next to us was a white Caucasian family; their waiter, also white, gave them an extra to-go bag of all-you-can-eat seafood after they asked for one. They received special treatment, while we were ignored. This will be our last visit. Despite the good food, the service was terrible. This place makes you feel discriminated, an outcast which we were not expecting to get this feeling from visiting for three first time and probably the last. Just very disappointed on the service.
