I recently tried the menudo at Lucy's and I was disappointed, it was lack of salt & flavor. There was no hominy all meat, but it lacked flavor, and i won't be ordering the menudo again. On the other hand I tried their champurrado it was thin, but the flavor was there, and I'd order the champurrado again, & i tried the caldo de rez or the beef soup it was delicious 10 of 10 on flavor, meat ratio to veggies, and soup. Beware of the day old sweet bread, they will put out new different fresh bread, but if you see 1,2 or 3 of the same bread is because it's day old bread or more. I will continue to try different items from the menu and report it on Yelp. read more

Definitely don't come here if you're looking for an expensive meal served with a bad attitude. $32 for two asada tortas, ridiculous, so I declined and left. Ran into this fast food restaurant after leaving LAX. Location is a fast food restaurant with a bakery inside. The Mexican sweet bread looked real good but I left no room for dessert. The service was good. They have plenty of employees working. They have a really huge food selection. The offer outside seating. I ordered the revuelta pupusa is was really good. I pick up my cup of oatmeal before work on a regular basis. I love that it's not too sweet, it's filling and has the perfect consistency. I also love their fresh squeezed orange juice. I'm in and out in less than 5 minutes which is convenient for a morning pickup before work. read more

This place is about what you'd expect - nothing fancy, but you can get a filling meal for not too much money. They seem to sell pan dulce inside as well. They make an "alright"-grade of burger and fries. I probably should have ordered one of their Mexican dishes instead. There is on-site parking available. The staff is nice enough to deal with. Beverage refills are 85 cents. The restaurant has both outdoor seating with overhead cover, as well as a semi-enclosed quasi-indoor seating area with air conditioning. The dining area is kept clean. That said, I'd get my food to go next time, as I was nearly accosted by a wandering gentleman whose bizarre behavior was indicative of possible mental illness(es) - not an experience I wish to replicate. read more

My family and I ordered food here for a late dinner. I ordered the shrimp cocktail and my parents ordered tostadas mixtas. It could be very hit or miss to get seafood from places that don't solely focus on that but overall, I thought my shrimp cocktail was very yummy and had a good amount of shrimp. I grew up with there bread and the bread is so good and I like how it was made so I rate it 5 stars

The food here is pretty good. My go-to is often their caldo de rez. I changed it up a bit and ordered a taco plate. The dish came with chips and salsa, two tacos, rice, beans and a salad. You can choose between chicken or beef or one of each. I personally liked the chicken over the beef. The salad was just chopped lettuce with dressing over it. Chips were super stale but I didn't order the taco plate for the chips so it wasn't a big deal. I asked for no rice just extra beans. Their sweet bread always comes out fresh. I love their champurado from here as well. The reason for the 4 star is simply because the lady at the front cashier (medium built, black hair, snotty face) shows poor customer service. About the area you sometimes wonder about and wile wondering about you sometimes work up an appetite for wanting what could be just that yummy to satisfy that crave of what you really want. Once here it was like wow they have a big menu and me just being me I went straight for the enchiladas combo I ordered it with one chicken and one cheese the plate came with beans, rice, chips, and a small little side salad. The enchiladas were alright nothing too crazy the chicken one was kinda like eh alright with the cheese one being quite a bit better all around the rice and the beans were standard neither amazing but still decent when it comes to that type of thing the salad was just lettuce with what tasted like thousand island over the top of it with the best part of it all being the single cheese enchilada. The whole plate with my Mexican Coke came out to be about $13 which I thought was kinda high but when I got the huge plate of food I didn't feel as bad about what it was but needless to say I wasn't that impressed either. Overall I'm sure this place would be a bit better in the middle of the night as it's open 24hrs but either way I really doubt I'd get enchiladas here again but who knows about everything else as some of the baked goods did look kinda yummy! read more

If you want the best champurrado in town you need to go to Lucy's in Lynwood. Doesn't matter what time or month they always have it and it's the best. My husband loves there hard shell tacos. Food is very hit or miss. It could be good one day, but also good be meh another. The service is honestly whatever most of the times its good. Sometimes the employees just cant seem to listen to the requests of customers (me) and give me the complete opposite of what i ask for. I order their dish of enchiladas with NO cheese mind you, they still put cheese regardless, and it happens so many times that they just ignore that request. Its the same with the burgers i get. I ask for a plain burger sometimes just because Im in the mood for one and they just give it to me fully loaded. Good spot I have found here. Enjoyed a burrito and tried out the Menudo, both were good. Service can be slow though.

The champurrado was the best at 3am this morning but the burrito was lacking the flavor and size for the amount that i was billed. Will definitely be grabbing more salsa if I'm here again. But maybe it was my fault for thinking there was going to be potatoes,rice, beans or something else added for filler. Next time I'd probably get something else but I was unfortunately craving breakfast. If you want a good breakfast burrito I'd sUggest alberts down the oTher block on firestone. But they close at 2am. I found Lucy's by accident while I was in the area lucky me. I've eaten at Lucy's in Los Angeles for many years back in the day this was our spot to hang out after we went dancing, the food was always good and we braved lines 20-30 deep to get this tasty food at 3 am we were crazy! But Lucy's was a legend. I've had dinner at other Lucy's and the food wasn't consistent It just wasn't as good as the Los Angeles restaurants. But this location is great so far. Lol I ordered a green chili burrito all meat with extra cheese. It's spicy juicy and tender delicious beyond words but it's too big too eat, I'm full after two bites. I definitely have plenty for lunch tomorrow. I also ordered a ground beef taco but what they gave me is shredded beef it's perfectly seasoned with lettuce and cheese. I added guacamole and salsa and it's fantastic. That was a good taco! I ordered a side of guacamole it was spicy creamy, perfectly seasoned and when I added some to my taco and burrito it kicked the flavor up a notch. I wish I would have ordered a large it was so good. They offer two salsas. The green salsa has a mild kick to it and it's smooth this one is my favorite. The red salsa is smooth slightly bitter but it has a good flavor and you really taste the spiciness of the chilies. I can't wait to try those chicken tamales again smothered in green sauce, actually everything on the menu is great over the years I've tried almost everything and you can order anything at Lucy's and not go wrong. I tried to give this place a try more than one time and man I just can't come back. The food just sucks ass and it's unfortunate because they have so much of it. The menu is ginormous. I got an al pastor burrito from here and it was the most bland and flavorless thing I've ever tasted. They use those beans from the can and jam pack the burrito with it. Then they insult you by not putting sauce in it. They go even further by giving you a miniature salsa kiss size container to go with your burrito. Will not be returning. Yummylicious! A new word I made up for this place. All of the food I purchased was absolutely delicious and yummy. The chicken inside the enchilada was seasoned perfectly and so tender. The cheese and tortilla shells surrounding the juicy meat melted in my mouth. The tamale had the correct ratio of masa and meat. There was even corn inside the tamale which made it perfect! The beans were soooo good. All the food was piping hot and packaged just right for travel. My only complaint was the tortilla chips they put in the bag to go with the salsa, they were stale. Woke up and decided to get a breakfast burritos before work..drove twds wrk and stopped by Lucy's. It was semi packed with morning goers and workers..I ordered a sauages breakfast burritos. I opened my bag and it was a reg size burrito. Ohhh I thought to myself $7.09 for this burrito? So I called Lucy's and ask how much is a sausage breakfast . The lady answered and told me 6.99 plus tax. Wow that's bit expensive for Jst hash browns, eggs, and sausage wrapped in a tortilla. no drinks or side of anything to go with this.
