Parking can be found in the Topanga Village garage and is free for the first 1.5 hours. My friend and I came Friday afternoon around 4 pm for their happy hour. Normally happy hour is on their patio, but they seated us in their regular dining area, not sure why. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. It was a nice day out, so we requested outdoor. Unfortunately that meant I was bitten by mosquitos a couple times. All cocktails on the happy hour menu are between $10-11. I got the Boston Sour and my friend got the Social Mule. We both liked our drinks. For food, we shared the following from the happy hour menu: Green goddess hummus ($8 hh) - pretty good, but I wish there was more pita to go with the hummus! Crispy chicken sliders ($11 hh) - ginormous chicken sliders! Would highly recommend! Meatball sliders ($11) - good but on the smaller side, especially when placed side by side with the chicken sliders lol Blackened salmon tacos ($11 hh) - also good, though I found the salmon a bit bland Presentation for the drinks and all the dishes was beautifully done. Everything is plated nicely even for happy hour dishes.

I'm usually not the biggest fan of Mexican food because it can be pretty heavy, but I really…read moreenjoyed this place. First, I have to mention Yvette. She provided outstanding service from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive, and constantly checked on us to make sure our drinks were full and that we had everything we needed. The food was excellent. I'm especially picky about guacamole because most restaurants don't season it enough, but this was one of the best I've had. I still think Chipotle has my favorite guacamole, but this was a very close second. It was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of salt. The chips were also great--light, crispy, and not overly thick. For my entrée, I ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas. Both were cooked perfectly, well-seasoned, and served with just the right amount of grilled onions and peppers. I also really liked the flour tortillas. They were soft, fresh, and the perfect complement to the fajitas. We also ordered the carne asada skirt steak, and it was outstanding. It had a great smoky char on the outside, was packed with flavor, and was cooked perfectly. The only downside is the parking, but that's really not the restaurant's fault. The area is just extremely busy, so finding a spot can take a little patience. Overall, this is my favorite Mexican restaurant I've tried so far. Great food, excellent service, and definitely worth the trip.

Anyways, once we were seated we got fresh tortilla chips and a red salsa which was delicious and on the house. My friend and I both wanted to tacos so we got two taco plates. I got the ribeye taco plate and she got the chicken tinga taco plate. We also each got the watermelon hibiscus margarita. The margaritas were the highlight of the night. They were well made and delicious. I could definitely drink a couple of them. In regards to the food, I enjoyed my tacos but my only complaint is if I'm being charged $20 for ribeye tacos, there should be way more meat in each taco. I feel like they skimmed on the meat, which I didn't appreciate, especially at that price point. Other than that, service was prompt and the interior was pretty. I would definitely come back for those margaritas. I believe they have weekday happy hour, so I might check that out for a more affordable experience.

Re-re-return to C-Frenz, a very spacious bar nightclub in the heart of Reseda in the San Fernando…read moreValley. I've only been a small handful of times since 2021, but was nice to come back in again on a date night. This long-standing all inclusive lgbtq+ space is celebrating their 20th Anniversary this week as well as the birthday of one of it's awesome bartenders ChrisTopher, who served us up some great drinks tonight. This dive bar meets billiard bar meet karaoke lounge (two nights a week - Sunday and Thursday) meets double patio areas and more is a neighborhood favorite. When I lived down the street it was one of my favorite places to go whether walking along Reseda Blvd up to the street entrance or down Hart St to Canby Avenue through the patio and back door/main entrance via it's shared parking lot with neighboring businesses including a large music studio in an industrial-esque neighborhood block. There's plenty of parking between the lot and along Canby without restrictions, but also metered parking on Hart St and Reseda Blvd. It's a little more than a mile up from the Metro G - Orange Line and also rideshare friendly (back entrance drop off and pick up is often best as the front door is typically closed and/or locked at times. They have restrooms for all genders, remodeled and upgraded. Tall tables inside with seating as well as bar seating on all ends of their double sided bar. Drinks are a little more than your dive club prices, but loaded and generous portions. One downside is the AC system which is not powerful at all, and with the back doors generally open letting out in contained cool air it can be humid and muggy inside. It definitely cools off at night and in cooler months. They've made a lot of updates and small renovations, but the AC not so much. They have so cool themed nights like goth night via Club Caelum, drag events, drag race viewing Fridays, go-go dancing nights, competitions, Sunday BBQ and more. Come to the West Valley's only gay bar to make new friends and of course "C" frenz.

There were good times for sure but the bar, especially prior to covid was always dominated by cliques which did not make it an inclusive atmosphere for all...& many people stopped going. At one point it was very high school with a mean girl vibe. It's sad that with karaoke & the VR room (that was shut down) the vibe seemed way more inclusive in the last 3 years. I wish there could be another West Valley bar that is inclusive for EVERYBODY & not dominated by cliques that seem to think they can take over. Just my thoughts. M.

The…read moredoors opened an hour before match time, and the host deftly pointed people to tables and other seating options based on the number in their party. The service staff had everything dialed in, working methodically and quickly, making drinks, taking & delivering food orders, and also managing to chat with people as they went, keeping everything friendly and personal. It takes experience and skill to work such an event without using the crowds and chaos as an excuse to offer less, and this staff really rose to the occasion. Special kudos as well to the team working the kitchen, because food came out fast and properly made. Again, so many places would have been content to serve thrown-together plates, but everything I saw was as nicely presented as if it was a calm day with a half-full house. An order of Steak Nachos was quite generously portioned, with house-made chips, creamy queso with a good kick of spice, fresh beans and jalapeño, sour cream and melted cheddar. But the real star of the dish was the steak itself -- good quality beef, well-seasoned and carefully cooked to retain juiciness and tenderness. So often the meat on nachos will be rubbery and disappointing, but at Fuego it's really top tier steak, and there's really only one proper reaction: Yes, Chef! A lot of customers were drinking beer and shots to fit the mood of the match, but mixed drinks from the cocktail menu were also showing up festive and well-balanced. The Paloma looked especially nice: tall and cool, colorful and topped with fresh fruit. A most enjoyable, refreshing sip. With well over a dozen TV's lining the walls, great food & drinks, and a staff this friendly, Fuego really deserves its own trophy for being the little, neighborhood sports bar that comes out on top. GOAL!!!

The food is very much of bar food, with happy hour specials raging from five dollars to nine dollars. Five dollar beer and seltzers, seven dollar margarita, nine dollar appetizers. My favorites were the wings and pretzel. They do have a small private parking lot in the back and plenty of street parking nearby. The bartender, Taco, who was our server, had a very lively personality, which made or visit fun! If you're ever in the Tarzana area and looking for a dive bar, this is your place.

My husband and I stopped in on a Sunday for a quick drink before a movie, and the "vibe" was non-existent. They have four TVs at the bar, but the setup was bizarre, two were completely off and another was just frozen on a directory logo. The biggest issue, however, is the cleanliness--or lack thereof. The place is incredibly dirty. It feels like it hasn't had a deep clean in weeks, maybe longer. The bar top was disgusting, the floors were grimy, and even the woodwork looked like it hadn't seen a rag since opening day. They are charging $17 for "signature cocktails," which is bold for a spot that feels like a neglected dive bar. If you're going to charge premium prices, you have to at least wipe down the countertops. Service-wise, the bartender was friendly enough but low energy and minimal level of service. To make matters worse, a shift change happened while we were there, and the departing bartender made us close out our check and start a brand-new one with the next person. Why should the staff's administrative hand-off be the customer's issue? It's just unprofessional. The Valley has so many actual dive bars with character and plenty of high-end spots for a great cocktail; I'm not sure where this place is trying to fit in. It feels like someone bought it and just stopped caring. We won't be back.

We did overhear someone asking about the cocktails and if they could make it less sweet. But found out that they're premixed. The area is quite beautiful outside with the flowers overflowing at the bar. Nice outdoor patio with covered tables seating. There used to be a nice tree right in the middle but has been removed, maybe it died. There's also a nice water feature. Between inside or outside, outside was nicer in my opinion.
