Second time here, easy valet parking right by front door if needed The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is very good, no complaints at all. Restaurant is kind of cold in the middle, directly under the air conditioning vents. Outside seating is good.

Absolutely delicious. We went in for brunch on a Sunday and it was beautiful morning to sit outside. We ordered our drinks, a cappuccino and a Not-a-colada. Both were fabulous, but the not a colada took the cake with its flavorful combination of pineapple, coconut and root beer; you must try it. I had to try the avocado toast and my date had the huevos rancheros. My avocado toast was so hefty I loved it, but more so I loved the potatoes on the side perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, oh so well seasoned. I appreciate that we weren't rushed to the check as a matter of fact we stayed to chat longer than expected and that might have been because it wasn't that busy at 10am but no I appreciated the servers taking their time to bring the bill.

This spot has become by go-to for a birthday or celebration! Absolutely love the atmosphere, the vibes, and especially the food. The mezze plate is one of my fave apps - order it every time. It's upscale prices but the food reflects that at this restaurant. Don't forget your parking ticket, they validate!

Review is solely based on Happy Hour (HH) aka Social Hour only from 3pm-6pm weekdays only. Why Saint & Second? Solid happy hour line-up paired with awesome serve and delicious food. Food 4/5 - Meatball sliders - well seasoned - Smashburger w/fries - too much onions but fries were solid - Crispy chicken sliders - Blackened salmon tacos - Tomatillo salsa is delish Total spent: $53.00 What I Didn't Like? - White napkins shedded like crazy all over me - Parker house rolls were horrible, very doughy and a weird consistency Parking 4/5 Free parking for 1 hour and $2 for the next hour. Service & Ambience 4/5 Great service from the manager and all staff members rotating to ensure everything is going well. Beautiful ambience inside and outside especially since it's right on the corner near 24 hour fitness and Total Wine.

The food was delicious overall. The service was a bit slow, but everyone was friendly and attentive. I loved the vibe and aesthetics of the restaurant. We sat outside on the patio, and it made for a lovely, relaxing experience. I'd definitely come back!

Honestly I feel like this place is underrated. I came here with my friends and their 1 year old. It's in the village across from Dan Noodles, near 24 Hour fitness. It is a huge restaurant and I was surprised that it wasn't more packed on a Saturday night. The prices aren't horribly outrageous, and everything we ate was great and tasted fresh. My only critique is that they should have soda fountains instead of bottled soda.

I recently visited S&S for Brunch. The Bottom Line 5 stars: A solid option for high quality food and drinks and conversation, be it for brunch, lunch or dinner, in a trendy upscale environment. Very highly recommended! Service 5 stars: Very professional, efficient, attentive -and- friendly. Our server Rachel was wonderful in providing a personalized and highly satisfying level of service to me and my family. This is very highly appreciated. Thank you Rachel! Drinks 4.5 stars: Full bar with a vast array of premium spirits and creative signature cocktails. Large selection of craft beer and wine also. We started our brunch with a "bubbly" toast. We usually go for Prosecco but they do not have any??? Their Llopart Brut Reserva Spanish sparkling wine was quite good though. We also had some coffee beverages (Cappuccino and the Campfire Coffee). Both were very good. Food 5 stars: We had the Old Fashioned Pancakes and a side of Duroc Sausage to share, and also ordered the Shakshuka (delicious but spicy), the Classic Eggs Benedict and the House Smoked Tri Tip Hash. All excellent and highly recommended!

I know I'm a little late to the game, but I finally made it to Saint & Second, having booked a business brunch for Saturday morning. First off, I have to give them major props for how they've remodeled and reinvigorated the interior since taking over from Lucille's BBQ. The decor is upscale yet comfortable, with dark browns and warm lighting making you feel like you're in a place where good things are going to happen. The hosting staff was friendly and accommodating, greeting me the moment I entered and seating us quickly once all of us had arrived. Our server was also very friendly, and arranged for one of my tablemates to have a salad she'd spied online that normally isn't available during brunch service; while that seems like a simple thing, it's the type of request that's often rejected out of hand, so kudos to the team for making that happen. That salad, the Spring Tomato & Burrata, was a visually arresting presentation of the titular cheese and tomatoes accompanied by basil ricotta, pistachio dust, white balsamic vinaigrette, watercress, watermelon radish, and balsamic gastrique. I did not sample the dish (I didn't know them well enough to ask for a bite), but she and her colleague really enjoyed it. For my own part, I ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict, which isn't 100% "classic,' as the eggs and ham are layered atop biscuits instead of an English Muffin -- and that's a departure I can fully support. Those biscuits were flaky and savory, with a well-balanced denseness: tough enough to hold up the ham & eggs + Hollandaise sauce, though also flaky and flavorful enough in their own right to appeal on a biscuit level. Eggs were properly poached, ham was tasty without being too salty, and the Hollandaise was rich without going over the top. The fingerling potatoes served on the side were nicely salted, soft on the inside, and the perfect medium for dipping into any erstwhile Hollandise on the plate. My salad-eating tablemate also ordered the same Eggs Benedict, and enjoyed it as well. Her colleague ordered the Old-Fashioned Pancakes, served with berries and fresh whipped cream. It was a generous and lovely-looking plate that clearly made her very happy, along with the lattes and cappuccinos they sipped on the side. All-in-all this was a nice, relaxed brunch with good food and friendly service. The only thing keeping me from giving the restaurant 5 stars is their prices. While our Eggs Benedict and Pancakes fell neatly into the price range one would expect at a nice brunch spot, other items on the menu came with some seriously hefty price tags: a $26 burger (more than the bone marrow burger at the adjacent Eureka), a $27 shrimp cocktail (more than at nearby Ruth's Chris), and $29 for spicy tuna on crispy rice (fully twice the price of what you pay at Katsu-Ya, literally right next door). I understand the difficulty of keeping such a large, nicely appointed venue afloat in today's economy, but I'm not sure I would return to pay those prices without being first told by someone that the iterations of these dishes at Saint & Second are truly worthy. Though I really did love those Eggs Benedict.

Social Hour Drinks: Social Mule ($10.5) and Beer ($6/7?)

This area got reboot about a year ago and we hadn't visited. Yesterday was the day we stopped in for their Social Hour (3-6pm) to celebrate my bfs birthday. It was pretty empty, but super clean and put together. We were able to pick our own seats and Lennin was our server. He was very attentive, polite, and personable. We exchanged some small talk and he was on top of checking in on us whenever he could. Great first impression! We both went ahead with the smash burger ($12) and side of fries ($3), along with a couple social hour drinks: mule ($10.5) and a cold tall beer ($6-7). The burger has the softest bun. The cheese melted so perfectly on the smashed patty, draped in the most perfect grilled onions and delicious secret sauce. A couple of pickles inside as well. Every bite was delectable and enjoyable! The side portion of fries were of value and crispy. Everything tasted so fresh and of quality. My bf inhaled it lol. The mule was refreshing and not watered down, even though it took me a while to finish because I was watching my pace. It was a hazy day outside, but the patio furniture is comfortable and the ambiance was perfect. I can't wait to return and see how it looks at night! Our server also helped make our experience worth it. Can't wait to come back for date night or a weekend brunch

We came on a Saturday night and surprisingly, they were not really busy. We had a reservation and we got seated right away. Food were all really good, the oysters are super fresh, Calamari is not oily or greasy and the bread is so soft & tasty. We love everything that we ordered, we will surely be back!

SPOT ON! I don't know how else to describe my visit to Saint & Second yesterday for a laidback and relaxing dinner and drinks at the bar. The bartender, Geoffrey, was paramount in turning a dinner into an experience. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the other two bartenders also, but I failed to get their names. However, all 3 behind the bar were stunningly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Taking the time to check on the patrons appropriately, help each other out in a pinch and work incredibly well together at a relatively small bar. I started my meal with the Caesar Salad which had a twist with a lemon olive oil that pairs perfectly and adds a unique flavor to the salad. After the Caesar I moved on, based on staff recommendations, to the Salmon for my main dish. I normally won't eat Salmon at most restaurants unless it's truly on the coast. However, after being told that the Chef sources their Salmon from Skuna Bay Salmon, a reputable and sustainable Salmon farm that raises their salmon in a natural environment, I was sold. And I was very happy for it. I'm not sure I've had a better salmon dish at a restaurant! Saint & Second's other surprise was the wine offerings that were wines by the glass that are normally offered only by the bottle. As a "wine guy" I was very impressed that I could get a single glass of Châteauneuf-du-Pape that was the perfect pairing with the Salmon dish. I followed up the meal with the Chef's take on a Peach Cobbler, which was formed in a closed-crusted "turnover" style serving. It was amazing and the perfect complement to a last sip of Châteauneuf-du-Pape. If you're in the LA (Topanga) area and want a great meal, paired with phenomenal service, I highly recommend Saint & Second! It's Second to none

Located at the Village, we made a reservation on Open Table at the last minute. Although we arrived a couple minutes before and it seemed like there were several empty tables, we had a bit of a wait both to get our table and then after we were seated to even get greeted by our server to put in our drink order. Luckily the service did improve. We ordered the pork belly for starters, then the lasagna and fish and chips.

Beef wellington with amazing chive potato puree

Came to try their Valentines Day special (on Sunday the day after) at 6pm and had to wait a little bit to get seated and served, but they definitely made up for it after. The decor was also a little dark, so the server brought us a little lantern, which helped a lot. The meal came with 2 glasses of champagne and 2 appetizers. After that, it was quite a long wait for our entree (beef wellington), so the server helped out with some rolls in the meantime. The meal was great, and whoever thought up chive potato puree was a genius. The desserts (coconut pannacotta and a chocolate lava cake) were also quite delicious. I had worried about it being not enough food, but it was more than enough. Shout out to Joseph for making our dinner experience a pleasant one!

Vibes were fun in the lounge and there was a DJ spinning tunes as well. I was really excited to see $9 happy hour cocktails. I got the Guava Berry Kiss and my friend got the Spiced Watermelon. I loved my drink; it tasted like I was drinking guava juice. My friend's watermelon drink was good too, but the pepper on the rim is actually quite spicy. For food, we tried a variety of items from the happy hour menu. Portions are pretty small for the price imo, and the items were hit or miss for me. We shared: Tater tots ($3 hh): these tots were humongous and cheesy. Would recommend! Pastrami salmon cone ($6 hh): thought these would be sushi rolls (temaki), so was shocked to see that they were actually served in mini crispy cones. I was very confused by this dish as I tasted the salmon but not pastrami as much, and I didn't like that it's served in a bed of uncooked rice which seems like a huge waste of rice to me Wagyu meatballs ($6 hh): my favorite hh dish! We ordered some sushi, the gyoza and the steak with the fried mashed potatoes and she wouldn't stop talking about how much she loved the food! But today the service tipped me over and put both me and my boyfriend in a bad mood. First, at check in the lady who sits people does not have voice to yell out people's names, she said my name very quietly that we didn't hear I don't think anyone would, luckily a man standing and watching waiting for his table told the girl that were there pointing at us because she was already putting the menus down thinking we're not there. You usually say the name at least twice or at least loud enough so people could hear. Second, we got sat at disabled table, not sure why when there were other available options. Lastly, I understand it was a bit packed but we waited 15 mins and then a "waiter" shows up, ask "how is it going?" I said hi how are you, he continues to grab our coasters, and goes "just saying hi" excuse me?? Did not ask if we want drinks or anything!! For a place that's advertised as a high end EXPENSIVE restaurant that is not the way to talk to customers because he didn't say anything after so in this awkward silence I go "im just going to have the chocolate cake please" which he responded to in weird manner that's unwelcoming at all "oh okay then just chocolate cake it is " or something along those lines. Takes everything off the table not even offering water and takes our glasses away. He seemed salty for sure. Very rude if you ask me. Got the cake 20 mins later. NEVER checked in on us after. Mind you there are always so many servers there and all they do is talk to each other and not check in or make sure the customers are satisfied. Usually I try to ignore their service but "just saying hi" is flat out disrespectful and unprofessional. So if you're the manager or the hiring team, please hire people who know how to provide a good customer experience and are professional or at least train them. Hire people for the front who aren't rude or have attitude because most of the time they have a nasty attitude like they're doing me a favor by checking me in. Today the lady was fine. I really hope that next time it will be better and based on other negative reviews I'm not the only one who has an issue with the staffs attitudes towards people so maybe it should be fixed otherwise I wouldn't go here if you're expecting a good service or good vibes.

I was searching for an elegant dinner spot on yelp and this place popped up. After seeing some pics of the food and the ambience, I quickly made the rezzy and my wife and I were on our way. As you come in, it's like you enter another world -- one of elegance and beauty. You can't help but notice perfect ambient lighting and modern vibes throughout the inside dine-in area and as you enter their huge gorgeous backyard patio, you just know that you're in the right place. The seating area there is massive, with very modern finishes and towards the rear of the patio you have the most beautiful water feature piece, that looks like a human-size vase, with water running down the vase and being met by fire at the base. Just one incredible architectural piece that creates that posh, contemporary ambiance. After taking in the breathtaking design of the spot, we finally sat down and ordered food. We tried the tuna tartare, squash blossoms appetizer and my wife got a seabass entree while I got their highly recommended vodka pasta. All of the food was absolutely incredible, from the freshness of tuna tartare, uniquely wonderful flavor profile of the squash blossoms , to the yummy vodka lumaconi pasta and the most mouth-watering seabass that I've ever tried in my life. I honestly never thought a fish could taste so good. The seabass was charred on the outside and just incredibly soft on the inside. As you barely touch the seabass with the fork, a piece of succulent seabass gets separated simply due to the natural gravity of the fork. The taste is perfect. It's like they somehow cooked it with large piece of butter on the inside. The incredible flavor profile and the consistency of each bite of this seabass, were simply unparalleled. And to add to all this awesomeness, the bed of risotto was perfectly cooked and tasted fantastic as well. To finish off our meal, we decided to share their apple tart pastry and it too, was fresh, flavorful and that scoop of ice cream on top, made the pastry just perfect. This place hits a perfect trifecta, with its phenomenal modern design , incredible food and absolutely superb customer service. Our waiter Zach was extremely nice, helpful, attentive and he was just a perfect guide throughout tonight's culinary adventure. My wife and I are more than satisfied and can't wait to come to Casalena again!

They use a tasty Sourdough bread, sliced not too thick, not too thin. Filled with roasted beets, chevre, fig jam, and balsamic vinegar. FULL of beets, roasted to perfection. Fig jam takes this sandwich from good to great. Walnuts in the jam add a surprising crunch. Vinegar balances the chevre. Often grilled cheese sandwiches in restaurants are oozing cheese, so I was delighted this is light on the cheese, the perfect amount to add flavor without detracting from the star ingredients. Sandwiches come with a side of fries which can be upgraded to another side for a nominal fee. The Sweet Potato Tater Tots are delightful, not greasy, not heavy, generous portion. We get them without the truffle oil. Valerie took excellent care of us. Her extensive knowledge of the menu and good suggestions were so valuable. She creates a welcoming friendly atmosphere. Large dog friendly patio with comfy seats around firepits, on quiet street perfect for outdoor dining.

We got a spot around the firepit and our server Valerie took good care of and recommended the crispy chicken wings which were excellent. You can get them with 4-5 different sauces -- I choose Buffalo with a side of carrots and ranch. Oh, the sweet potato tots were also on point. The g/f loved her Beets w/ Goat Cheese grilled sandwich -- they have alot of other Grilled Cheese options too. It was quiet when we arrived around 6:30pm so there is plenty of room for your group. Most people were sitting at the bar having drinks -- but we liked it outside. 3 Beers on tap including a Modelo and TONS of Bourbon/Whiskey options. Oh, don't park at the post office next door especially after they close -- as we got a warning that we could be towed next time. This place should be more crowded as it's perfect for happy hour in a relaxed setting. C'mon Yelpers -- only 27 reviews?? Time to get Toasted!

We arrived at 7pm, and the place was still buzzing from Happy Hour. Lots of people drinking, eating and chatting while basketball played on the TV's they've got placed strategically around the pub -- no matter where you're sitting you can see the game. Our server, Natalia, was very friendly and took great care of us. My wife wanted a simple cheeseburger, which was cooked to a perfect medium-rare as requested. We hadn't been here in a while, and she admitted she'd forgotten just how good the burgers are ("much better than the other pubs around," she said). I ordered the Banger Bites: slices of English sausages served with brown gravy that I augmented with Coleman's hot English mustard and some HP sauce. The bangers were crispy on the outside, tender inside, with a mild flavor accented by Earthy herbs. Toss in some whiskey, and we were off to the races. While we kept things simple this time (we HAD eaten popcorn at our movie), the menu boasts a wide variety of options, from burgers and sandwiches to pub faves like fish & chips, shepherd's pie, bangers & mash, Scotch eggs and so on; plus an assortment of starters that go well with games and beer (wings, nachos, sausage rolls, salads and a fantastic, house-made chili). Lots of bars and pubs in Woodland Hills have come and gone, but Pickwick has remained solidly planted, the reason being they offer great food and even greater people to enjoy it with. Go!!

~ YOUR GO-TO NEIGHBORHOOD PUB WITH HEART + PACKERS BAR ~…read more Pickwick Pub is everything you want in a true local spot, casual, welcoming, and full of familiar faces. It's the kind of place where regulars know each other and you can catch a big game with loud, passionate sport loving folks. There's SO many TVs that I've lost count and a giant projector screen. Did I mention it's a British pub, but a die-hard packers bar?! Pickwick's has easily become our favorite bar, so much so that my husband and I will drive 40 minutes (from Ventura) to watch a game here! The food is solid and affordable across the board. Breakfast hits, burgers are always a safe bet, chili fries are a must, and the nachos are definitely worth ordering. They also have some (authentic?) British food... that I've only tried a few of. Bangers and mash is good, I can't say much about the rest. Drinks are great too, with a nice selection including a few British beers on tap, but we always go for a good ole Guinness (or several). What really seals the deal here is the service. The staff is consistently friendly and attentive, always checking in without being overbearing. Shoutout to Natalia and Kim, absolute gems who make the place feel like home. If you're looking for a cozy, authentic neighborhood pub with good food, good drinks, and even better people, Pickwick Pub is it. A true happy place :) Go pack go!
