Best beer battered fish tacos I've tried in the SFV so far. So glad we gave them a try. The fish doesn't taste super fishy & the crunch on the outside was perfect. The fish & chips were okay, not much flavor & wouldn't order them again. But their tartar sauce had the perfect flavor to dip the tacos/ fish in and they have good fries to order as a side. I've been here a few times and the food is always good with fast and friendly service. The grilled shrimp (garlic butter) with salad and zucchini is my go to meal. However, the white fish is really good as well as the Cajun fries . There's always plenty of parking in the shopping center (free). They do have indoor seating but no outdoor seating. read more

In a nutshell - the food was okay, maybe slightly better than average. The cashier was very friendly and welcoming, so that was a plus. The ambiance is virtually non-existent, and actually was depressing. Living in the Southland, we've been spoiled by having some great seafood places to enjoy fresh fish. I appreciate the newer trend of having no frills pescatarian options, but fewer frills shouldn't have to mean no frills at all. I've been in many fast food restaurants with a lot more to look at than this place. And what is up with having zero trash cans inside the whole restaurant? There is one bin outside on the extremely minimalistic patio area. I found that whole dynamic very odd. Dear Hubby and i decided to split one entree of salmon over pasta. It turned out to be a strange flavor choice. Each element would be okay on its own, but together - not so much. The salmon came in two pieces, which made it ideal to split. It was very thin salmon pieces, though. That meant that it had to be cooked carefully not to dry out. It was just on the acceptable side. The pasta was tasty with a marinara sauce that offered good flavors. I would have preferred a white sauce, but have to avoid dairy (sadly!) DH also ordered a side of white rice and another of zucchini. Drink selection was minimal, and fully-sugared lemonade was one of the few caffeine-free options. As much as the goal of this restaurant is to offer healthier meal choices, they could have used better options in their beverage station line-up. For the whole experience, I am thinking that we'll go elsewhere to find fresh seafood, as this place left me feeling flat. read more

The food was so good! I've been trying to get back but it's so far out of my way! On a hunch I tried a local fish grill. I always get garlic butter salmon but I was not expecting this to be so much better than the rest. The secret is the sauce! I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. It was a nice portion and came out quickly. The cashier was friendly and the place was well spaced and clean and even offered free water. I will definitely come back when I get a chance. I been coming to Hook'd forever and the food had always been good! It's down the street from me and it can't go wrong for healthy options. I always order the salmon plate with garlic butter and brown rice and salad as the sides. Their tacos are really good and small, but tasty. The place is really clean all the time and they followed the COVID guidelines for the longest to accommodate people for safety motives. The only reason I put 4 star is because not all the workers are not confident when they take orders, or they take a while to comprehend your order. The young girl with blonde hair that wears a tight bun, is always good with orders and knows how you want you order. She should be there all the time she's good.
