My favorite campechana! The rest of the food looks great too. Will definitely come back.

I was confused when ordering online because I felt as I might over order since everything they sell is by the pound. When we walked in there was only one other table that was finishing up. the staff were welcoming and nice , we were helped with right away too. The food was amazing I literally have been telling everyone about this place now and tell them to forget Bag O Crab this place is better and for the price too it's worth it specially if you like sea food boil this place is amazing and I made the mistake of putting light cajon seasoning because it was sooo good and perfect spice too. Plan on doing another take out order on Valentine's Day! I can't wait to eat your food again ;)

Very disappointed. To begin with you enter the establishment there's no host to greet you. While…read moreyou stand there they yell from across the restaurant. The food...No flavor whatsoever. I am glad I didn't order the crab because I would have been pretty disappointed to pay for something inedible. Not to exaggerate but the Cajun shrimp I ordered looked like it was in motor oil with bottom of the barrel sediment. Inches of it literally burnt spices or something. The bag color was like brown black. Not to mention that the shrimps were overcooked and some were chalky. Super hard to take the shells off of how overcooked they were. We chose to give this place a try since online it stated it was better than bag of crab. But man were we mistaken. Go to bag of crab instead.

OKAYYYY but why was this place SO GOOD ‍‍ Honestly, thee…read morebest food everrrrr. Mojarras already have my heart, so I ordered the Mojarra al Ajo + a ceviche tostada (which was BOMB btw). First of all... they do NOT play with the . Lemon lovers, you're safe here. Now the tostada??? You literally need ONE. That's it. One and done. You could share it... but let's be real The flavor was STRAIGHT . The mojarra gets a 4.5/5 from me -- only because I personally like it extraaaa garlicky. BUT the amount of meat on that fish was WILD. Like... not playing around. Freaken GOOD. And they hook it up with tortillas, rice, beans, and salad. I usually ignore sides at other places because they're mid, but here?? I ATE EVERYTHING AND THEN -- plot twist -- it was karaoke day and even the employees were singing. The vibes were immaculate. Food + fun + good energy all in one. This little hole-in-the-wall really takes care of you. Great food, big portions, fun atmosphere. 10/10 will absolutely be back

I ordered the carne asada plate expecting it to come with rice, beans, and vegetables like it showed in the picture. Instead, I received fries instead of rice, even though I never ordered fries. On top of that, the beans tasted spoiled and had a very unpleasant smell. Overall, the service was good, but the food was disappointing. I would rate the food 2/10.

Wow. I was really dubious after reading reviews and looking at the empty parking lot on Memorial…read moreDay. I thought it would be busier. I guess the Laurel Inn is not the hotel it used to be, but that doesn't take away from Las Islitas Grill. It looks like a diner/bar with a heavily Mexican theme. There was only four of us patrons in the restaurant and one bartender/server. He graciously put the Giants game on the TVs when I asked and offered me a beverage and chips and salsa (medium hot) right away. It took a while to figure out what I wanted from the extensive menu. Since I went in for seafood I chose a Tostada Mixta, with fresh tasting (and smelling) shrimp, octopus and imitation crab on an equally fresh tostada, it came with lime. It was better than another place I have that dish regularly at, I was surprised. I added some of the mild salsa from the chips to the dish and it popped it up very well. When my Caldo de Camaron, Pulpa, y Abulon arrived I was surprised how big it was. It was served with limes, chopped cilantro, chopped red onion, green salsa (that the server warned me was hot), and tortillas (I ordered flour). It had a tomato base and was loaded with tomato, onion, green pepper, and lots of shrimp, octopus and even the abalone. Adding the lime juice helped to cut through the richness of the soup. Like the glutton that I am, I slurped the soup from the bowl to expose more of the seafood, which I shoveled into pieces of tortilla and seasoned with some of the onion and cilantro and added small drips of both kind of salsas and each bite was a joy to taste. I'm almost sorry that I didn't take the time to take pictures of these two delicious dishes but I was hungry when I went in, and having those delicacies put in front of me, I just had to dig in. For a place that doesn't seem to get a lot of business the seafood sure was fresh. I will totally come back, this place is GOOD!
