After a recommendation from a trusted friend, and driving by for weeks, I finally got the chance to stop in. The service is helpful and friendly, the menu has a variety of Birria favorites, ordering is easy, they give you an electronic beeper, so you can sit in your car while you wait (for not too long), and it smells GREAT! I'll admit, I couldn't wait to get home, so I dug in in my car. I get the Birria Tacos, figuring I'd start with the basics and work my way up. The tacos have nice, crispy tortillas filled with Birria to die for! Deep, rich, flavorful, and not so messy that I had to throw away my shirt after (could happen, don't ask). Best tacos in Salinas! Moved out here a few months ago and have been pretty disappointed in the tacos out here... until I tried these. The presentation of the plate is something I have never seen from a birrieria. I love having the freedom to add as much, or as little toppings as I want. But they don't just look good, they taste amazing!! Very generous portions of juicy birria wrapped in not one, but two tortillas-- fried to perfection. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. The avocado green salsa and the red salsa were to die for. I also appreciated the pickled onions, it gave the plate a nice pop of color and flavor. The consome was delicious, it had a little kick/spice to it The service was great. Looked like a one man operation when I arrived, however the quesabirrias were ready in a little less than 10 minutes. My order was bagged neatly. No juices dripping out or grease on the bag. Not stingy with the napkins at all, and they were good quality unlike some places. It's a nice looking food truck, with plenty of parking nearby. Wow! Service absolutely amazing! We are very proud to support locally owned and operated establishments especially food trucks like this trying to make their mark on the central coast. Happy for this family- husband and wife and they're laying it down for the most popular trend that everybody is trying (some not so successful ) Birria! I saw their truck driving home from work one day, I messaged them on their Instagram page not thinking I would get a reply back right away but to my surprise they answered me within a few minutes. Super friendly super helpful and provided me their schedule for the upcoming week. Being it was kind of late and we wanted to try everything fresh we went to their Saturday location at Alvarado Street brewery, and we were so happy we did. The food is made to order so please people don't complain about the wait time... I did hear some people asking about the food wait times however like I just said this is made to order you cannot make this an abundance and think it's going to taste as good. As you see we tried a little bit of everything from them and we were pleasantly surprised. Notable mention their homemade salsa was out of this world- all of the accoutrement as far as onions cilantro etc. was provided and they do not give you small portions. As you see from the pictures everything was served in abundance and delicious and the service again was amazing. Super glad we found this place because making this at home is very Time consuming but as my hubby's favorite he gets what he wants and knowing we can come here and enjoy a beer on a Saturday afternoon instead of me in the kitchen cooking all day seems like a pretty good alternative LOL. read more
