I had the fish that's called la mojarra and it was good, although it wasn't as fluffy as some other ones I had but overall it was delicious. All of us in our table got them. Also the Micheladas were so yummy and honestly it was one of the best ones I've had in town. In my experience. I will definitely come back and try other dishes. The waitress was very attentive as well. It was a bit crowded but we didn't wait long to be seated.

It's crazy to think that people can't be more professional when it comes to work and leave personal life behind. The server knew my partner from years ago from her personal life due to a family member. This was years ago yet she seemed to not be able to do her job & was being immature. She nearly threw the food at us while at the drive through and shut the window. We get home and our food is all tossed around. Dos potrillos, make sure your employees know how to leave personal issue outside of work.

Came here with my girlfriend on Cinco de Mayo for lunch. It's a new restaurant in Watsonville, and I pass by this place all the time. Im really glad we gave it a try. The restaurant is spacious and was really busy, but the servers were attentive and checked on us often. I had one of their fried fish plates, and it was so delicious! I had it with the Chipotle sauce, which was quite spicy.. I really liked it. It was nice to wash it down with their decked out michelada! The fish came whole, and it was crispy and flakey. I really enjoyed it very much! I'm definitely coming back again!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. I liked the food. The ambiance is nice with traditional heavy carved Mexican tables and chairs, and festive banners. It's spotlessly clean. The wait staff was competent and friendly. We shared all of the dishes we ordered! First, the chips and salsa were great. House made, thick, crunchy chips with a wonderful fresh, dark, chunky salsa that had a bit of heat. The star of the meal were the shrimp empanadas! Oh, my little pony! These were deep fried and filled with a saucy thin crema and chunks of fresh snappy shrimps. The crisp pastry, the creamy sauce and the snappy shrimp along with the super hot salsa verde make these a taste sensation! You have to eat these! On the ceviche front, we ordered the mango plate with shrimp and fake crab, the mixta tostada with all sorts of seafood, and the fish tostada. The mango plate was really well balanced with sweetness from the mango, orange, and shrimp versus the lemon/lime juice. The mixed ceviche was very tasty but just a touch too acidic with over "cooked" seafood that was a bit chewy. I liked the fish tostada as it wasn't so lemony and the fish was tender. We also ordered the Chile Verde plate special. The sauce was so fresh tasting. The pork was nice and lean, but a bit dry. Still, it was delicious. The refritos and arroz were treated with importance and also had very nice flavor. I'm looking forward to many return trips!

Excellent place! Service from staff is friendly, professional and superb. They go the extra mile to make sure your experience is comfortable and flawless. The menu is extensive, with options for every palate and all kinds of proteins. Seafood, beef, chicken and pork. The place is clean, lively and spacious plenty off street parking. Portions and prices are also very good making this place an absolute gem in value.

Went here for a light lunch on a Wednesday and had a Camaron Ceviche Tostada which was delightful. But I was most impressed with the service. There were 3 wait-staff on the floor and during my $12 meal, at one time or another, all 3 of them checked in to see if I needed anything. Not overbearing, just helpful. The Tostada was great, the service impressive.

Im very surprised that this place doesn't have higher reviews! I was skeptical because I read all of the reviews first and wasn't sure what to expect. I came here for lunch on a Thursday and although it was busy I still feel like the staff accommodated my table accordingly. What really stood out to me was the variety of dishes they had. The menu is about five double sided pages and there is something for everyone. They even had sushi!!! I'm a seafood lover so I ordered the mango ceviche and a shrimp taco. Both items were fresh and delicious! A bill for two people (without drinks) will run you around $40 which is pretty reasonable considering it's fresh seafood. Will be back to try more delicious seafood dishes!

9.75/10 Hands down…read morethe best burritos in the area, and honestly, some of the best I've ever had! I've tried the Breakfast Burrito, Asada, Carnitas, and Chile Verde, and they've all been worth coming back for. First off, the tortillas are absolutely to die for. They're easily the best tortillas I've ever had, soft, fresh, and packed with flavor. They honestly make the burritos stand out from anywhere else. Every burrito comes with the same traditional rice and beans, and they taste homemade. The beans, especially, are delicious. The Breakfast Burrito is a great way to start your day. It's simple with eggs, potatoes, and your choice of meat, but it's filling, comforting, and exactly what you'd want from a breakfast burrito. The Carnitas Burrito has great flavor, although the meat can be a little on the dry side and tends to stick to your teeth. I'd definitely recommend adding their salsa, which helps bring everything together and adds some extra moisture. The Asada Burrito is a classic and doesn't disappoint. The steak is flavorful, and it's a solid go-to option. I'd also recommend grabbing some salsa to take it up another notch. The real winner, though, is the Chile Verde Burrito. If you're only ordering one, make it this one. The pork is juicy, tender, and full of flavor, and the chile verde sauce is absolutely incredible. It's easily my favorite and the one I'd recommend to anyone visiting for the first time. My only critique is the size, I just wish the burritos were a little bigger because they're so good! Overall, this is one of those places I keep coming back to whenever I'm craving an authentic, flavorful burrito.

The tortillas were so soft and delicious! It was out of this world and nothing I have ever tasted before! It didn't matter what you put inside that burrito, the tortilla just elevated everything! Tried the chile verde (Their most popular) and the pork had some pretty good flavor! Also tried the carne asada, not the best carne asada I've had, simple, but still pretty tasty! It was missing some nice spice! I didn't know that it didn't come with any salsa, definitely get some salsa on the side. Coming from so cal, I would definitely go back up just to try their other burritos!

Drove two hours from the Bay Area to get there and it was totally with the trip. My son got the mole negro and I got the chile verde. Everything on both plates was authentic, delicious, and AMAZING. My son tried my chile verde and said it was the best he's ever tasted and I agreed. They were super busy because it was Mother's Day, but we were seated after a short wait and our waitress was super efficient and friendly. Several times during our meal someone checked to see if we needed anything. Not going to lie, we were a bit intimidated when we pulled up as there were no other non-Hispanic people in the large crowd outside waiting to be seated. I told my son that meant the food was definitely going to be good, but I was worried about how we would be received considering the political climate these days, but it wasn't an issue. Everyone was super friendly. Will definitely be going back to try other items on their menu.

The place was packed, which is always a good sign, yet the service was still excellent, very friendly, welcoming, and attentive. I ordered the tlacoyos with chicken Milanesa, and they were absolutely delicious. The chicken Milanesa was perfectly cooked, the queso fresco added great flavor, and the chile sauce had a nice kick without being overwhelming. I also tried the tamale Oaxaqueño, which was very flavorful with shredded chicken, a rich black chile sauce, and soft masa. It was much spicier than I expected, and unfortunately too spicy for me to finish, but you can tell it was made with authentic flavors. The tostadita Oaxaqueña was another tasty treat, fully loaded, fresh, and delicious. Every bite was packed with flavor. I also had the atole, which was warm, comforting, and the perfect drink to balance the meal. Overall, Culturas gave me a memorable first introduction to Oaxacan food. If you enjoy bold, authentic flavors and don't mind some heat, it's definitely worth trying.

Get there early to get the chicharrón filling. They sell out.! Add the cabbage mixture to the taco for a bright flavor. Also, get both red and green salsas. Mix them and be amazed. The red salsa has a hint of smokeyness but it's not over powering. The green is more like an avocado salsa. I told the owner that I fully enjoyed his food and he explained the process and I can appreciate the time and prep he takes to make this cuisine.
