I recently moved to Hot Springs from out of State and searched for a vet for my 2 dog and 2 cats. Read tons of reviews for every vet in town. Reviews for Airport were very low, however I had previously read a Hot springs post about the lack of after hour emergency vets and this vet was well appreciated and had many comments. I took our Shepherd there today for vaccines, heart worm treatment and a variety of other check up type issues. Dr. Lechek was our Vet today and I could not have been happier. Truly feel like I have found our home vet here in Hot Springs. The lobby and office staff were great. Loved Miss Stormy our vet tech. So many stressors when you move 1500 miles from where you were born and raised. Finding this vet has eased my animal concerns and I am truly grateful to have them. read more

We dropped our little chihuahua off to board with Dr. Bell's business and when we came back the bill was for vaccinations plus boarding... We had just had her shots updated with another vet at Temperance Hill a couple weeks before.. The bill was aprox. twice what we expected. They had our ph. no. and could of called and ok-ed it with us before vaccinating her. The staff was very rude and obstinate about the matter.. Our little pet developed cancer and died soon after... We had a very unpleasant experience with these people.. I would not recommend them to anyone..... read more

Had a 12 year old Rot/Shephard mix who had developed hip dysplasia and became paralyzed over time. Respiratory issues set in quickly over a two day period and was in need of euthanasia. When called and asked about performing this, was told they had no openings for two more days...even though the procedure only takes 15 minutes. Called another vet I had never been to and they said, "come now". Very disappointed and very much miss Dr. Ward. read more

Been brining my dogs to this animal hospital since the original veterinarian. Close to 20 years. The new owners were just as good and absolutely loved the office manager Kat. However recently when I brought my Shih Tzu in for his annual shots, my appointment was at 3:30 and both my kids had appointments at their doctor at 3:45 right up the street. I got there early so that I could either get in earlier or ask if it would be OK to leave the dog with him while I took my kids, the new receptionist made a snide comment basically that it was stupid to make two appointments at once. Apparently they don't know. I'm a single mother and doctors appointments are hard to get into juggling a busy schedule of work and two kids, extracurricular activities and school so unlike me, I overlooked it, they let me know that they close at 5 o'clock so I went onto my kids doctors appointment trying to rush through that. Made it back 15 min to 5 in which they were basically standing at the door ready to throw my dog at me. So then they abruptly told me the amount of the visit. The day before I had an issue with my bank account with some fraudulent activity so it was froze and realized I didn't have enough cash. Ask them if they could bill me which they have done hundreds of times before she started slamming papers around and got very rude not giving me an opportunity to explain anything, and just proceeded to yell that that is not their policy anymore. Which I understand things changing completely that was not my problem. However, I was not informed of this prior to the appointment. In my opinion, the proper response would be. I'm so sorry we don't do this anymore since you did not know we will bill you this time, but in future, we will not be allowed to do this, I would've been perfectly fine with that. Overall, the two people behind the desk were very rude and had extremely poor customer service. After I got home, it really started to bother me at how rude they were for no reason so I sent a message to the veterinarian that partners with Dr. Bill on messenger explaining the situation and how I would not return back and never got a response I just cannot believe How rude people have gotten. I'm severely disappointed and upset that after 20 years this is the outcome. read more

I love Dr Bell he has been our family vet for over 20 years and has been amazing. I know he is extremely busy and may not be taking in a lot of new clients but that in itself should go to show what a wonderful job he and his staff are doing. read more

Dr. Bell and his team literally saved my dog's life. I had no idea my dog, Luna, had eaten a towel and got it caught in her intestines. She had begun to lose weight, but she was eating and energetic. I gave her some wormer to see if she improved, but the next day she would not eat and was throwing up. After a bad previous experience at a Sherwood/North Little Rock Animal Hospital, I knew I had to take my dog to Dr. Bell. He and his team problem-solved with me. He told me we could do an ultrasound to see if she had an obstruction in her bowels but that he was sure she did and an ultrasound would just add $600 to be sure he was right. The surgery went well, but Luna was so emaciated that she had extensive issues. Dr. Bell and his team worked with her and nursed her back to health. After several necessary surgeries to repair her intestines, they continued to work to give Luna her best shot at surviving and thriving. At every step, Dr. Bell kept me informed. When it became difficult to connect by phone due to my work schedule, Dr. Bell texted me updates. His calm, cool, and experienced advice coupled with the excellent medical care Luna received were literal life-savers, and every one of his staff cared deeply for my dog and her healing. Luna is home now and recovering extremely well, and Dr. Bell sent me home with notes on how to help her get back to a healthy weight as quickly and safely as possible. Dr. Bell also treats my mom's 10+ cats, and he has always been professional, communicative, and easy to work with. I 100% recommend his office and will be driving my three dogs to the only vet I've fully trusted with my pets since I was old enough to have animal companions. read more

Do not go to this veteran if you love your pet, because going to this vet was a horrible experience. Airport road animal hospital may have cost me my beloved pet her life and not only the trauma of having a critical ill dog but also being judged and criticized by the Veteran and staff. IN leaving with my dog that was still sick I was not carefully instructed in how to it minister my dogs lifesaving medication after paying 1500 dollars in Veterans care bills. I am going to another Vet from instruction and getting a second opinion. I would strongly advise not going to this Veterans hospital. read more

2 1/2 years ago my dog has two toes amputated due to a birth defect. The surgery was botched and now my dog has one nail regrowing, causing extreme pain and discomfort ( evaluated yesterday by a different Vet.) Now because this was medical malpractice they won't even return my phone calls. Now comes the attorney. read more
