Completely fixed and good as new :)

It's been over four years since i broke my ankle. Dr. Mark Co consulted, advised, and treated my broken ankle. He shared insight into industry best practices, allowed me to make my decisions, and even welcomed a 2nd opinion on my ankle. I've never felt more comfortable with a doctor and more trusting. Why? A different orthopedic surgeon recommended two surgeries to me while Dr mark Co advised i could keep my ankle in a cast and avoid the surgery route. I chose the no surgery route based on his explanation of the pros and cons. It's been four years since we had that conversation. I ride a bike 8-10 hours a week and walk my dog 2-4 hours a week. No issues with my ankle or leg. Ever. Thank Dr Mark Co. Your patients think about you more then you know. And we're so thankful to have worked with you.

Dr. Co has no personality. He barely treats you if you have Medicare. He continued to cut my toenails even when I was screaming that he was hurting me. He ordered me a pair of orthotics because he said Medicare would pay for them. I have not been able to make use of them because they are too big. I could cut them but another podiatrist said they were mainly made for sneakers wear which I do not wear. The office is located at the end of the hall from the elevator. The restrooms are located across from the elevators. Quite a hike back and forth from the elevator to the office to get the key to the restroom back down the long hallway to the restroom and then down the long hallway back to the office. The whole atmosphere of the office was unwelcoming. Because I am disabled, I had to take taxis to and from my appointments. Dr. Co's waiting room was very nice, done in the Art Deco Style. I would not recommend going to Dr. Co's office for podiatry treatments.

Crystal, my physical therapist, was amazing. She spent 30-40 minutes each session assessing my progress, working on what needed attention, and what exercises would be best givien how I was feeling since our last session. She modified my exercises with the physical therapist aides for every session to maximize the areas of need to accelerate my recovery. The physical therapist aides were also great. Each aide provided 1-on-1 attention to walk through each exercise. Many were also working toward getting their own physical therapy degrees. The front desk is one of the most friendly and competent front desks I've come across anywhere. In addition, they also provide a 24/7 full service customer portal with a wide range of online services above the usual invoice payments and insurance details. You could cancel or reschedule your appointments in real time, send messages or ask questions, check your upcoming scheduled appointments, and more. You can also subscribe and sync to your own calendar (Google, Apple, etc.) which will sync new and updated appointment details along with physical therapist name, date and time. There's really no need to call to make changes unless you want to talk with someone. I highly recommend this place if you need quality physical therapy care.

He was highly recommended to me by my acupuncturist who has seen him several times for therapies to heal long standing back and neck injuries. Dr. Wardell has an extremely impressive and well rounded background and education which enables him to understand underlying issues and causes in a way that most doctors do not. I have recommended him to so many people who have chronic illnesses and pain/injuries who are unable to get relief by traditional methods (cortisone injections, PT, surgery). Not only does he have a deep understanding of any medical issues I've asked him about, his approach is always focused on getting to the true cause and healing them vs a band-aid approach used by so many doctors. His treatments / approach are all quite reasonably priced and has helped people avoid major surgeries that would be much more costly and not actually fixing the underlying problem or condition. I feel that Dr. Wardwell has a strong sense of integrity and ethics and treats his patients with genuine respect, never pushing profit over the best interest is his patients. I have been trying to recover from a severe case of Bells Palsy 7 years ago which I was told by some of the top doctors in the field that I would never be able to heal from it, and the only options were Botox and invasive surgery in my face. I'm so thankful that I have found PRP (plasma rich protein injections, same used in "vampire facials") therapy with Dr. Wardwell which has already healed and improved my symptoms in 3-4 months post PRP therapy. My other doctor who has been treating me, who is the head of plastic surgery at Stanford, was amazed as the most recent progress and never heard of PRP being used to to treat Bells Palsy, which is quite sad. I'm getting the word out. If you are looking for a doctor who will truly get to the bottom of your condition and treat you with the utmost care and respect, I highly recommend Dr. Wardwell. Randy on his team is also very welcoming and accommodating whenever possible. Do not hesitate to schedule a consult if you're thinking about it! You won't regret it.

Dr Belzer is a gentleman and a pro. Skilled, warm and a great communicator. We both had him care for our shoulders with a complete shoulder replacement and a MUA. Most recently I had Dr Callander perform an anterior right hip replacement. I was in great pain and barely able to just walk across the room in the weeks before surgery. Several hours after surgery I was up and walking without any pain at all. I was home that same afternoon and was walking up and down all 3 levels of our home. I was sent home with crutches and a walker and never needed either of them. I just hit my 6 week mark and progress is amazing. Dr Callander combines expertise, warmth, knowledge and a sense of humor which makes the entire process such a comfortable one. His staff (especially his PA Johnna) is just as impressive in their communication and response to messages/questions within a day. As much as I was in pain before my procedure, I was anxious about the surgery too. I already know that I will eventually need my other hip replaced, but after my experience this time, I will definitely not be anxious again - - - in fact, I will look forward to it and certainly not put it off as long as I did this time around. * * I want to also add that my PT mentioned that she was very impressed and appreciative of Dr Callander's notes. She said they were one of the more detailed and thorough she's ever received, so it seems that Dr Callander impresses patients and colleagues alike.
