When I towed my car to United on 5/26/26, United (John) told me a Genuine Mazda Fuel Pump WAS NOT AVAILABLE and I had to get an Aftermarket part. I paid $1109.67 for this Aftermarket part which failed in less than 30 days and I only drive my car 1-2 times per week. On 6/23/26, my car was dangerously stalling out on 278 & Burnt Church Rd and making a loud sound (not drivable). I thought I was going to get killed. Beachside Auto was right there, so I pulled in. Beachside diagnosed the issue right away as the faulty aftermarket fuel pump. They said this is a very sensitive part and genuine parts should be used on Mazda's for compatibility reasons. I guess United didn't know this? Beachside ordered a Genuine Mazda Fuel Pump (which arrived in 1 day), replacing the aftermarket part, and my car's been running great ever since. On 6/29/26, I brought the aftermarket fuel pump back to United to see about getting a refund since I was charged $1109.67 for this bad part. (Note that Beachside's Genuine Mazda part cost was only $880 for the REAL thing). I was willing to negotiate with United on the Labor ($405) since they'd already done the work. United said they'd file a warranty claim and that it'd be after July 4th to get back to me. I asked John how Beachside could get the Genuine Mazda part in a day when he told me they were not available. John tried to defend himself by saying he meant that the Genuine Mazda parts were not available on THAT specific day (i.e., 5/26/26). I can't read John's mind, nor know what he meant to say- I can only act on what he DID say to me that day - that the Genuine Mazda part was NOT available, only aftermarket parts were available. Even if local Mazda stock was all out that specific day, the part could have been shipped from another location outside their local delivery area. (The part is small - about the size of a very small cantaloupe). I returned to United a few days later to follow up on the warranty claim but they needed more time. I requested the $1109.67 part price refunded but John said that was "unlikely". John also called me 7/8/26 to ask me (again) WHY I didn't bring my car back to them for repair; I gave him the same response - that I couldn't trust them. They told me I had to use an Aftermarket part (no Mazda parts available) when Beachside somehow could get a Genuine Mazda part in just 1 day. United's "warranty repair" would have put another BAD AFTERMARKET PART back in my car. Additionally, another statement caused me to question their integrity/accuracy. When I asked about leaving my car outside overnight, John said not to worry because they have a "secure lot" since it's a tow yard. When I arrived on 5/26, no security existed -NO fencing whatsoever, no Rottweiler, n-o-t-h-i-n-g - anyone can walk right into their property. When I questioned that ("secure lot"), it became, "well, we've never had a problem before". On 7/15, I went back to United for their final decison. John told me I will get NOTHING ($0.00) back because I should have TOWED my car back to their garage for their warranty service. United honors the Manufacturer's warranty, in this case = O'Reilly's (where they bought part from). The Manufacturer's warranty states they'll replace the part or refund at their discretion - and only to the entity that purchased it (i.e., United). United's Invoice also states warranty repairs have to be made at their garage. However, if United is only honoring the Manufacturer's warranty, then they would've put another BAD AFTERMARKET FUEL PUMP back into my car since that's all O'Reilly has. Having another bad part put in my car, and endangering my life again on the highway, was NOT an option. United will be made whole by O'Reilly for the part cost, PLUS, get to keep my entire $1614.54 that I paid, including labor markup. This is 100% GREED and an absolute lack of fairness and ethics.

I have no doubt they took advantage of me from being out of state and not being able to take my car somewhere else without paying for another towing fee.

They stated solenoid, steering fluid leak, rear struts, and shocks had to be done over the phone. I agreed to solenoid and steering fluid repairs over the phone since the other two could wait. I never saw the estimate and just approved over the phone for the repair while I was at work. b. We took the van to them Sunday the 1st and they "completed the repair" the 3rd and when the wife got it to turn it on it started rumbling and check engine light was blinking again immediately. c. This is the initial $3000 repair. 2/3-2/5 This time they said the rockers arms had to be adjusted to stop a bank of misfires so it had to stay another day to get repaired and we went back to pick it up on the 5th. The technician said he adjusted the rocker arms and everything was okay. So we took the van home after assurances that everything was good to go. Made it home okay (sounding a little off) and looked over the engine. Then check engine light came on again. 2/5 I took it the Springfield Davis Tire and they said they had to do a throttle adjustment this time. We were not charged additional for this. We didn't travel much between this time and the 9th as the family was sick with the flu and we noticed Sunday the 8th there was still oil leaking. 2/9-2/12 So we took it back to Davis Springfield on Monday. They said it was the steering fluid leak and I told them I thought it was fixed before. That's when I found out that I never "paid" for that particular repair. So we paid an additional $650 plus to get that repair done. We picked up the vehicle either the 11th or 12th. 2/16 The wife is on the way to home school event and before she leaves the neighborhood the check engine light was coming on again and the vehicle was rumbling. So we brought it back to Springfield Davis Tire. After over 2 hours of waiting and a suspicious 10 minute meeting between some of the staff, they now claim the timing belt is off and are recommending another $2000 repair. 2/17-3/2 We worked with a different local shop that gave us the same repair at $1200 and that shop discovered that Rincon Davis Tire had messed up the following: loose B1 cam sensor, leaking front valve cover, and leaking solenoid. The other shop also discovered the oil drain plug was leaking. We gave this information to Springfield Davis Tire 3/2 afternoon. 3/2-3/12 Springfield Davis Tire did not give any updates and were cagey with their responses still the two times I called them and finally on Friday the 6th I called them 3 minutes before they closed and finally got an update that they were going to take a look at the van on Monday the 9th. On Tuesday I got a call that they confirmed the solenoid was indeed leaking and they had to order the part. The part came in on Weds afternoon the 11th that afternoon after I called for another update but it would not be ready till Thurs. The wife picks it up that afternoon because I was at work and they did not offer any kind of apology, discount, or information to her on pickup. No call from any Davis tire leadership for all the trouble. For anyone kind of repairs done I would recommend not going to either of these Davis Tire locations.

They diagnosed me needing wheel bearing on the front of my 2014 Corolla on BOTH sides and needing to replace both my control arms. This would have costed me almost $3000. I called Robert and Auto Doctors and asked how much for all the work and I was quoted about half the cost. Once the car was at Auto Doctors, they did a diagnostic and said that all I neded was one wheel hub. So rather than spending $3000 on parts and labor from an over-inflated price gouger, I spent less than $500 on a GREAT SHOP. Jason the owner and Robert his service writer are awesome.
