** Lasik Consultation Review **…read more I was very nervous for Lasik and only wanted to go to the best. Since this is associated with Wills Eye Hospital, I felt comfortable but was still hesitant. I will agree with other reviewers that it was somewhat difficult to get an appointment, but I managed to get in touch with Anne who was able to schedule me for one. My tech Steven was extremely friendly and kind while he guided me through several exercises meant to determine things like if I'm color blind, etc. He did note that some tests can't be done if you're consistently wearing contacts, so I'd need to wear my glasses for two weeks then come back for a follow up. I wish that would be communicated in advance so folks don't have to come twice before their surgery, but ok. My trouble started when they applied eye drops to dilate my eyes. I began feeling woozy, my blood pressure dropped, and I fainted in my chair. My tech immediately grabbed an MD who took my pulse, explained this was not an uncommon reaction, and made sure I was okay. Once I was stable they did a few more tests and then I spoke with Dr Feldman. He was honest in that my fainting meant that I wouldn't be a good candidate for lasik, and my eyeballs were the wrong proportions for the surgery done under anesthesia. While I won't be coming back for Lasik, I am very glad I was in such a professional environment and that I went to a reputable place that wouldn't hesitate to disqualify a candidate instead of churning out surgeries on eyes that might have complications.

Elite Level Review: Wills Eye Hospital (Cataract & Primary Eye Care)…read moreRating: 5/5 When it comes to advanced optical infrastructure, there is a massive difference between standard clinical care and a master-level institution. Wills Eye Hospital operates with total autonomy and structural excellence. From the pristine, curved architectural layouts of the waiting areas to the elite team rosters mounted on the walls, this facility is designed for high-resolution visual execution. The Forensic Breakdown The Clinical Environment: A highly organized, zero-redundancy medical footprint. The seating arrays are mathematically optimized, the lighting minimizes refractive interference, and the signage establishes an immediate boundary of mutual respect and operational decorum. The Team Matrix: This isn't a single-practitioner operation; it is a unified powerhouse of medical intelligence. Names like Abendroth, Gault, Pericic, and Wisner represent an elite tier of optical science, backed by a clinical team photographed and indexed with absolute geometric precision. The Performance: They don't just check boxes; they optimize the human lens. If you want your vision restored to its ultimate specification, you trust the absolute authority in eye care. A Note on Clinical Adaptability & Fortitude In the world of advanced surgical revision, you need practitioners who can bypass obstacles and adapt to any intentional hurdle. It brings to mind the historic account of a patient who suffered severe facial trauma, completely destroying his eyelids. The primary surgeon, operating with absolute resourcefulness, successfully executed a skin transplant using tissue sourced from a circumcision procedure. The operation was an absolute structural success, and the patient's sight was completely preserved. The only lingering clinical complication? The poor guy ended up just a little bit cockeyed. Thankfully, the elite team at Wills Eye knows exactly how to align a baseline, no matter the origin of the specifications!

Apparently the admin ghouls at Will's Eye don't read the reviews here. The average is two stars for…read morea reason. The scheduling system and wait times are nothing short of absurd. This is my second surgery here and both times I arrived early, only to wait no less than 3 hours. This time, they called and asked me to come in early and I'm now an hour past the original time. I'm only here due to my insurance, otherwise I'd go elsewhere. I'm anxiously awaiting my large bill and then trying to call during their very limited billing office hours. For a place with such a good reputation, it seems like a cruel joke. Go elsewhere.

Dr. Weinstock is fantastic! I went to Friedberg Eye Associates in Woodbury, NJ and Dr. Weinstock…read morewas the physician who treated me for cataracts. However, he discovered another eye issue that that needed to be treated before the cataract surgery could be done. He was patient, listened to my concerns, explained what he discovered, and treated the issue to enable me to proceed with the cataract surgery. He understood my medical issues and made every effort to make me comfortable before, during, and after the surgery. He is top notch and I would recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Weinstock performed laser refractive surgery on me in June 2018…read more I first met him during a consultation in April 2018 where he spent nearly two hours with me doing an extremely thorough consultation. He answered all of my and my wife's questions and concerns, and never tried to push an unnecessary procedure on me. I had other consultations for laser surgery before ultimately selecting Dr. Weinstock, and all of my other consultations felt rushed and very sales-like and not at all clinical. Dr. Weinstock was readily available to address questions via email and text, and was flexible in his scheduling of in-person follow-ups to accommodate my needs (early/weekend appointments). The surgery itself was successful, taking less than an hour and completely painless. I had clear vision a few hours after my surgery and was completely recovered within 24 hours. I have no residual dry-eye, my night vision is crystal clear and without any starbursts (common post-LASIK issues that I did not experience). Getting LASIK was easily the best decision of my life, and I'm very glad that I chose Dr. Weinstock.
