DO NOT BRONG YOUR CHILD HERE. We were running late for an appointment (our fault) so I called…read moreright at the scheduled time and asked if it was still okay to drive there for the appointment. the receptionist told me there was a 15 minute grace period and as long as we were within that we were good. So we wasted gas driving there and I was standing in front of this woman within that grace period. She told me unfortunately because it was almost the end of the grace period we had to reschedule. I mentioned that I had called and been assured it was fine within 15 minutes and that the 15 minutes was not up. And she shrugged. Then when we rescheduled we saw the dr and we needed two prescriptions filled for our son for two different purposes. I noticed only one was filled. I called to ask why and they said the appointment was for one at a time. The asthma meds were filled but if I needed the other filled i had to bring my son to a second appointment. This was not at all what the doctor said at the appointment originally. It was nothing but problems with these people.

We highly recommend her to other families who are in search of a pediatrician. Specifically those families who need answers about food allergies & MSPI. She has been an incredible resource and we are so thankful for her & her extraordinary caring staff!

Updating. I am…read moreremoving an additional star. Furious upon finding out when I switched pediatricians that my 2 year old, who I believed to be covered and caught up with all vaccinations by Whitcomb's office, was actually left behind on one important shot and had had another incorrectly timed (so needed to be done again). Even though I was always very clearly pro-science and pro protecting my child from preventable disease... and always opted for all shots "on time". For those who haven't read my earlier review: I recently moved to a new pediatrician's office after discovering Whitcomb has an unfortunate reputation among Omaha's more eccentric and scarily "crunchy" set as THE pediatrician to go to if you want someone who will be very understanding/lenient about irresponsible decisions to either delay vaccination or not vaccinate. Irresponsible meaning more based on "I think Jenny McCarthy is smarter than a doctor or medical researcher" and not based in actual medical fact or family history of vaccine reaction.

Dr. Whitcomb has been our son's doctor for over a year, and she has been a Godsend! She always…read moretakes time to answer our questions, doesn't make us feel rushed, and believes in informing parents to make the best possible decision. I've seen reviews about the wait, and I have waited myself, but every single time my son is given the time and attention that gives me confidence that we are truly getting answers and that the staff care about him. Dr Whitcomb, her PA Monica, and all the nurses take time to truly listen and look at everything they need to. I've had doctors that rush us through to get to the next patient, and I know they heard maybe 60% of what I said for that reason. I appreciate the care we receive here. It's well worth the wait and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.

Avoid This Clinic at All Costs…read more If you are considering becoming a patient here--or are already one--look elsewhere. Our family has been with Complete Children's Health for over a decade. Our youngest has been a patient since birth. Despite our long-standing relationship, we've been repeatedly lectured about COVID vaccines at nearly every visit. Vaccine decisions are deeply personal and should be left to the parents--not pushed by medical staff with an agenda. No one should be pressured, guilted, or shamed into making medical decisions they're not comfortable with. Our children are healthy. They do not suffer from chronic illnesses, and we do not believe in scheduling arbitrary or unnecessary appointments just to satisfy a clinic's policy. Yet Complete Children's Health enforces a rigid and unreasonable requirement: yearly physicals for every child or the patient is deactivated. That's not just inconvenient--it's unethical. This is the kind of profit-driven policy that contributes directly to the healthcare crisis in our country--padding insurance billing with unnecessary visits, inflating healthcare costs, and driving up premiums for everyone. Even worse, when our children actually needed care--for ear infections, sinus issues, or other routine concerns--we could rarely get a timely appointment. The wait was often days or even a full week. Instead, we were forced to turn to telehealth services or urgent care clinics that were more responsive and effective. So, why didn't we comply with their policy of frequent checkups? Simple: they weren't available when we needed them, and when they were, they pushed unnecessary visits rather than prioritizing actual care. We are done. We will be finding a practice that puts patient health and parental rights before billing quotas and insurance kickbacks. Choose a clinic that values trust, access, and ethical care--not one that treats your children like numbers on a spreadsheet.

And then when you're…read moreconsidering the health and well being of what is most precious to you, your children, it can be infinitely difficult to find someone you have confidence in. Years ago we met Dr. John Vann after experiencing some poor relationships with other pediatricians. By "poor relationships" I mean that there really were no relationships, as we were just another number, another appointment, another shot-and-a-sticker. When we met Dr. Vann (or Dr. Silly Socks, as my kids call him) we realized having a relationship with our pediatrician really was possible. He has given his availability generously, his genuine compassion for our children authentically, and even on occasion graciously offered us parenting tips out of how wealth of experience. We trust him to speak into our lives. We look forward to many years of welcoming him and his staff to be part of our extended family.

So I brought my daughter and was turned away because we were a new patient! And they need an hour for new patients and do not have the time. But they did say "you should have her looked at somewhere with her fever that high". For someone that claims they care about children, they sure did not show it! When I called no one said this to me and on their website it says nothing about this, as this time, I'm sure it will be added at some point.
