They were supposed to come once a month to check for pests and deal with them. Unfortunately, they do not seem to have enough techs to service all their customers. They "cancelled" the second monthly service without informing us. When we asked when they would be out to spray for ants they said we were not covered for ants. This is not what we were told when we spoke to the salesman. For $175 a month you would expect the most destructive pest would be covered. I can't recommend this company.

And this is where the story takes a positive turn. Signed up online and received a text with a link of who was coming and what day. Included information of what was going to be performed and how much. On the day of the appointment, my daughter let the technician in and I immediately found him to be polite, professional, and naturally friendly to my dog. I was instantly put at ease. Having never had to use a pest service, I was concerned about who would be going through my house and this poor soul had to crawl and climb all over a completely turned upside-down house, on a hot July day. Every step of the way he was a bevy of information and empathy. I was quite comfortable having him move about my house without me, he earned my complete trust. He set some bait and traps and had immediate results the evening after the first visit. He returned 2 weeks later to clear the traps (3 kills!) and seal up the outside. And since Mass Bay completed their work, no mice! In terms of value, the price was in the 3 figures. What would you pay for peace of mind? Mass Bay's options and pricing seemed fair and I will consider setting up a yearly contract with them, again for that peace of mind. I also learned quite a bit about mice in general, which was a nice add. I like when people geek out about their work, it's a good sign of happy employees. Happy employees do excellent work. MassBay was truly excellent.

He is incredibly knowledgeable--not just about mice, ants, bees (including every kind of bee), and even rats--we've unfortunately had them all living near a pond. He takes the time to explain things, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does. He's also just a great person. On his last visit, he had finished up and was heading to his truck when he spotted a stunned baby bird sitting in the middle of the street. Without a second thought, he stopped to help. We moved it somewhere safe and gave it a little water, and before long its parents came back for it. It had nothing to do with pest control, but it said everything about John.
