John Meredith has been our pest control technician for about a year now, and he's been fantastic from day one. He is incredibly knowledgeable--not just about mice, ants, bees (including every kind of bee), and even rats--we've unfortunately had them all living near a pond. He takes the time to explain things, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does. He's also just a great person. On his last visit, he had finished up and was heading to his truck when he spotted a stunned baby bird sitting in the middle of the street. Without a second thought, he stopped to help. Denis came to check for termites. He was on time, wore a mask, told me he was vaccinated and did a thorough inspection, all the time telling me what he was looking for and why he was looking in certain places. He clearly knows what he is doing and is very professional and personable. Happily, he found no instance of termites. I mentioned that I had been getting some mouse activity in my bulkhead and he did another thorough inspection in the basement, kitchen and attic. No inside activity and Denis showed me where I needed to fill some gaps in my bulkhead. The inspections were free and no treatment is needed. The employee that came by, I believe his name was William was amazing. He was helpful, thorough in explaining what he was going to do and made our wedding night one where I didn't see a single bug the entire night when normally they're all around. Our field was about a football field size plus another acre so I was not expecting nearly as awesome a result as we got. I can't explain how happy we were with the service and would recommend it to anyone. Their spraying is organic so it's safe for pets and children as well which was really important to us. I couldn't be more pleased and we will be using your service next year to help deal with the mosquitoes around here for sure as I haven't seen one since the spraying two weeks ago. We have a rodent problem and so far we have been very happy with their service. they came recommended by a good friend of mine in the same town. The employee was thoughtful, thorough, and patient with me and my questions. These guys are awesome. I had what I thought was a cockroach problem- Triple Yuck. They sent someone out to look, and instead of them trying to sell me something they identified it as a different kind of bug that will die on its own and not take hold in the house. They came out very quickly (one business day from when I called), were thorough in their investigation, and gave us an incredibly reasonable quote for pest control for other "guests" that we have like carpenter ants. I was very surprised at their low initial and quarterly costs compared to their high level of service and commitment to using natural products. Never thought I'd have a go-to exterminator, but now I do. read more

We used GreenHow in Nov '20 and they didn't do very much. For $359, they inspected the house, inside and outside, and placed about 12 traps in "high traffic" areas. The traps didn't catch anything in one month so we canceled their monthly service (extra $79 a month). In my unit, the traps didn't catch a mouse until a few months ago. Meanwhile, the unit below me is having lots of mice, and the upstairs unit has seen mice too. We were really disappointed because of all the great reviews. A bunch of people said that they had small holes filled in. We didn't have any interior holes (around the radiators, appliances, pipes, etc.) or exterior holes (in our fill stone foundation) filled. We've just now contracted another pest control company that charges $375 to inspect, set traps, and fill all small interior and exterior holes, including behind the refrigerator and stove -- plus a 3 month warranty. They are also pet-friendly. Anyways, we feel cheated by GreenHow and don't understand why we got subpar service. The tech did not look at all the potential entry points into the unit and offered no suggestion or help in sealing them. read more

We have been extremely satisfied with GreenHow- their work and their outstanding customer service. Donna in the office is incredibly helpful. You never get a phone menu, she always answers, is friendly, and gets you whatever you need right away. Their employees are excellent- the same person comes regularly, he knows our house, the issues, etc. (With a previous company we used it was a different person every single time and we had to go over everything with them from the start each time.) If you do have a mouse, they'll even come to retrieve it free as soon as possible. They also do an eco-friendly spray for your yard ticks/mosquitos that I think worked really well. I heard about GreenHow from someone online, and after calling a few different places, I was pleased to hear that they would 1) come out and look at my condo without requiring an entire condo account, AND 2) that they would look behind my stove to patch holes (a few other places said they refused to move gas stoves - um, not helpful if the gas pipe has a big gap around it!). Good news is that Sean came out within 3 hours! He was on time, friendly, and very informative. He was also quite sensitive to my ridiculous mouse phobia and prevented my seeing dead mice under my stove. GreenHow uses 'green' techniques to keep mice/pests out, and Sean has a few kids, so understands that pest control needs to be safe. I learned that in addition to mice, I have some sort of moth larvae growing in my kitchen and hallway ceiling edges, and that there are roaches. Wow, loving this new place we're living in. UGH. Sean listened to my melodramatic mouse history, explained how recent renovations could have made the situation better/worse, and checked out the basement. He then informed me that it looked like a professional had laid traps in the basement. Later, we found more traps in the kitchen (old ones and with lots of nast attached) that confirmed that another exterminator had already been in the unit. Being the good guy he is, Sean suggested I call this other exterminator and see if the condo has an active account. Which I did and we do. So...I realized I was basically already paying an (extremely ineffective) exterminator and, despite my prodding, couldn't get Sean to basically sell this other company out and convince me I should hire him. I now want to terminate the account with the other exterminator and hire him EVEN MORE - it is a pretty honest and nice person who won't take advantage of a naive homeowner who is afraid of mice. And, who will come out and clean things up, patch holes, and give a fair quote all for free. Since I have to get the whole building on board, I'm giving the other exterminator a chance, but I fully expect that we'll switch to GreenHow. And hopefully then I won't ever see Sean again because I never have another moth, roach or mouse in my kitchen. read more

From the first telephone contact to the treatment carried out today, our Greenhow experience has been superb. Molly was friendly, polite and efficient on the telephone, and made a next day appointment for an inspection at our newly purchased property, which had some unwelcome sitting tenants in the form of carpenter ants. Megan carried out the inspection on a Thursday and spent at least an hour going around the property and quickly found two nests. I called Molly again, once Megan had finished her inspection, and made an appointment for four days later on the Monday to have the treatment done. The technician, Steve, spent another hour treating the house inside and out and took the time to explain how the product works and how long it should take to do the job. Molly, Megan and Steve were all very thorough, informative and polite and are a credit to Greenhow. Keep up the good work!
