We lived for years without mice, then one day they we found evidence in our basement and kitchen. After several frustrating days and sleepless nights trying to take care of it myself, I broke down and called Mass Bay. And this is where the story takes a positive turn. Signed up online and received a text with a link of who was coming and what day. Included information of what was going to be performed and how much. On the day of the appointment, my daughter let the technician in and I immediately found him to be polite, professional, and naturally friendly to my dog. I was instantly put at ease. Having never had to use a pest service, I was concerned about who would be going through my house and this poor soul had to crawl and climb all over a completely turned upside-down house, on a hot July day. Every step of the way he was a bevy of information and empathy. I was quite comfortable having him move about my house without me, he earned my complete trust. He set some bait and traps and had immediate results the evening after the first visit. He returned 2 weeks later to clear the traps (3 kills!) and seal up the outside. When we found a squirrel in our interior wall, I called this company based on the other Yelp reviews. They exceeded my expectations -- and it was a nice change after calling bigger, less personal/patient companies. Alex (owner) picked up the phone when I called, and he was very helpful and informative about our options, challenges, and things to keep in mind. Alex himself came to our house the next day, and he gave a free estimate after examining the interior, climbing up on the roof, and looking in the basement. He was professional, courteous, and knew how to handle squirrels. After investigating, he found that our particular squirrel was gone (hooray! we'd unknowingly removed its nest the week before) so he was going to install chimney plates to prevent them from coming back. I was psyched he could do it right then/there, to have the problem resolved completely. After he started that project, he found that the chimney needed repair before he could proceed. We'd need to call a specialist for that before he could affix the chimney caps. Bummer... He didn't charge for the time spent on the project until that point. Before he left our house, I asked him about how to handle the hole left by the squirrel on the interior wall, he kindly offered to patch it at no charge. So nice! In the end, he spent 90min at our house and never charged a dime. Alex is not a "hard sell" -- he's a personable, customer-oriented guy devoted to his business. Call him! We needed a squirrel exclusion and Alex did a great job, installing an exit only output from the attic and then waited 2 weeks and patched up and critter proofed the exterior good as new. Also provided a 1 year guarantee. It's never fun to deal with the matter or the cost, but better to pay more up front and get it done with this company with expertise in critter removal vs having a roofing company patch it for a lower fee and have the problem recur. I called this company about a year ago because my chimney cap had blown off during a storm and I thought squirrels had set up shop in there. Alex came down the next day and was very professional. Turns out I did not have any animals living in there but my chimney cap was totally destroyed. He said he could order and install a new one for me. Amazing!! Sent a quote request through yelp for squirrel issue in the attic and within 10 minutes heard back from Alex (owner). The next morning he came over, assessed the area and provided a great quote on the spot. Having spoken to people about the situation, I knew the quote was extremely competitive. It included trapping the squirrels in the attic, the one's around the perimeter of our house and then him completely screening off the problem area along with installing a one way exit door out of the attic. We had squirrels in our house. They migrated from our attic to our living quarters. When husband captured three of them on three consecutive days, two in our bedroom. Horrors! We decided it's time for us to take action. We called Alex from Mass Bay Wildlife Management and he came by that day to look at our attic, Identified the squirrels as flying squirrels, came back the following week to patch up any openings in our rooftop, put down one way egresses so the squirrels in our attic can exit but not not enter, and also set down traps in the attic where he located their activity. It is now day 3 after Alex did his thing and the house has never been this quiet. No more scurrying scratching gnawing sounds . It's good to know Alex guarantees his work for 2 years. We are so pleased with his work that we are having him come back to fix our chimney. We'll let you know how that goes. It is now 10 days later. No squirrel activity or sounds. He did a very thorough inspection of our home to try to determine if the rodents we've been hearing in the walls and ceilings were the mice that we'd seen signs of or some other varmint. In the course of his inspection he found that we had carpenter ants, which we didn't know. I contacted Mass Bay Wildlife back in October 2021 due to a mouse problem. They came for the initial service and the two-week follow up service. Since then, we have contacted them every month for continued mouse activity. I emailed the owner yesterday with photographic evidence of mouse activity (mouse poop inside my house, ON MY FURNITURE). The owner responded to my most recent email today, saying that there might not be anything else they can do. He claimed his technician was turned away at the door when I called them out in February, when he actually spent 20 minutes inside my house. I requested a refund since they had never solved the problem, the owner answered that he would pro-rate the fee and that his warranty never guarantees eradication of mice. What good is only getting rid of some of the mice, when their company website clearly states that exclusion service is the best way of ridding a home of mice? The owner was exceptionally rude throughout our email exchanges today. I would stay away from this company and seek out someone who actually can take care of the problem, with a more stable owner. read more

Alex visited our home to investigate a carpenter bee infestation. While his initial application was relatively ineffective (he applied a repellent but the bees were already well-established and some survived), he honored his verbal agreement of returning at no charge - if the application was ineffective - and applied a different solution (intended for bees which are established). He does a great job of explaining what he is applying and seeks organic solutions when possible or a mixture of organic and synthetic when organic alone will be ineffective. The gentleman that helped us was friendly. However, our contract stated that we were to have a termite control system put in and 2 more visits. the termite system was installed. However, no one came back after the system was installed. We received no call from the company if the termites were eating the wood or not. We tried contacting and did not receive any calls back. I have been watching the squirrel leap out of a hole on the side of our home onto the electic wires going over the street. We can't relocate them so I hope that they stay out. Alex (the owner), promptly texted back and was at my house at 7:30 a.m. THAT morning for a free estimate. He assessed inside and out and I received a great quote for all the work that he would perform on this problem. He was there the day after the huge snowstorm, making his way through all the snow and installed a one way exit door to the attic and traps on the roof which caught a squirrel each day. He left it up there another couple days to ensure the capture of these scoundrels. He returned and patched the hole and observed another possible entrance and patched/secured that also. Alex, the owner is so knowledgeable and very responsive, which is so appreciated. We had what ended up being bats in our attic space and he expertly took care of the problem for us by installing a temporary one-way valve & then securely patching up the space so the peaty bats had no way to enter. He also gave us lots of expert info on bats and what he was going to do to solve the problem for us.
