I had been suffering for days saw 2 urgent care doctors who prescribed several medications. they could not get inside the very swollen ear canal so advised an ENT or emer room. obviously getting an same day appointment is unhear of. so emergency room it was Dr Patels office is located inside Centrastate hospital so I didn't have far to go from the er. Dr Patel was wonderful..it was a painful procedure and I tend to be a baby when it comes to pain. he was very understanding and stopped several times so I could compose myself. very understandIng I'm back today for follow-up. I highly recommend Princeton ENT.

One was the antibiotic CEFDINIR. One of the possible side effects from this antibiotic is severe diarrhea, which can be easily found out by googling the antibiotic. After taking this medication for five days, I suffered from severe diarrhea. Those words are in bold face from there I incurred a potentially life-threatening disease called. However, during that time which was so stressful on myself and my wife I lost 16 pounds. Considering I was 80 years old at the time, this nurses practitioner should've realized my immune system cannot handle an antibiotic that strong. my advice to anyone is if you're going to see an ENT make sure you are treated by an ENT and not a wanabe

I scheduled an initial appointment for my fiance to see the doctor for symptoms of clogged ears with the referral from a primary care, with not much flexibility or accommodation on their end. The receptionist only offered a Tuesday morning @11 and it being a week out as the soonest, I secured the spot even though I expressed the inconvenience of this with his schedule due to work and needing to take the whole day just for this appointment being that he works in the city from 6-2. The woman stated since it's an initial it is necessary he will have hearing testing etc, so I understood and made the sacrifice. My fiancee waited the week in discomfort, attended appt was in and out, and was told this was a lingering side effect from a resolving sinus infection, prescribed nothing and believed the MD. 2 weeks after he still was encountering same discomfort and no improvement actually seemed to of gotten worse. I called to leave a message for the doctor to call back and the lady states he would need to be seen again . With limited availability I said he can come Monday he has all day free , she said rudely " No we have Tuesday" , I said I apologize he cannot take another day can the doctor just call him back. She said he needs to have the hearing test done since he didn't have done the first time. I said what!!! Why didn't he. She said it's at the discretion of the doctor, I said wait, the reason he waited a week and scheduled for a Tuesday morning was because that was the only time you stated you perform them, and now your saying you didn't even perform it on an intial patient. And now he has the same exact symptoms as when I scheduled the first appt and he requires one. I was upset. She was extremely unprofessional and rude and said " listen this is what is available " she did not once apologize, sympathize, try to understand the frustration from our end. He missed work spent weeks in discomfort for perhaps a lingering issue non related to sinus infection that perhaps never even existed but was rather assumed by the MD. She instead became irritated and short tempered, very abnoxius when I asked her name even raising her tone and spelling it out. And refusing to speak with me further now requesting to speak with only the patient. When asked to just leave my name and number for the doctor she said she wouldn't take a message unless it was the patinet now.I was upset, but never unpolite or raised my tone. I am a health care manager myself and know the frustration of things that can be out of our hands and I feel the way she handled the situation made it worse. The MD perhaps had reason during the exam to not do further testing neither her nor I were in the exam, but we will no longer seek services or care here due to the treatment of the front desk receptionist that spelt her name as Marianne.

After 42 years of sinus issues and breathing problems, I'd nearly given up. Over the years, I saw a…read morebunch of ENTs around NYC, some with great reputations, and kept getting the same answer: "You're breathing fine with the medications." Meanwhile, I had drawers full of sprays and pills that barely made a difference. It wasn't until I had major surgery with Dr. Scaccia about 7 weeks ago (the surgery lasted almost 5 hours) that I realized just how badly I'd been breathing all my life. I found Dr. Scaccia after deciding to look outside the city for help. A few things stood out right away: his office has parking, he has his own complete surgical suite right in the building, and he's clearly someone who's made a name for himself in the ENT world. His waiting room is filled with plaques, research publications, awards, and even TV and magazine features. At first, I wasn't sure what to make of all that, but now that I've gone through surgery and recovery with him, I get it. I can say with full confidence: He is the real deal. From the very first visit, it was clear I wasn't just another case. Dr. Scaccia has a fast mind and a direct way of speaking. At first, it can feel like he's talking over you, almost like his brain is already a few steps ahead. But once you realize how deeply knowledgeable he is, it all makes sense. He took the time to look inside my nose and connect what I was saying to what he saw, and right away he had a clear sense of the problem. By the second appointment, we were going over a detailed surgical plan, and I remember him saying he was genuinely excited for the case. That stuck with me. It showed how invested he is in what he does, getting real results for his patients. On the day of surgery, which took place in the same office where I'd had all my consults, Dr. Scaccia didn't just straighten my septum, he basically REBUILT MY WHOLE NASAL AIRWAY. He discovered my septum was too thin and weak, so he grafted it on the spot to reinforce it. He reduced my turbinates, cleared out scar tissue from years of infections that I didn't even know were blocking my sinuses, and he did a few more things that were explained and went over my head medically, but clearly weren't over his. What really blew me away was that after everything he did, there was no pain at all. Seriously, not even once. This was multi-level airway reconstruction. There was discomfort, sure, but not pain. Maybe that's due to his technique and high precision, or maybe I got lucky, but I think it's worth pointing out. Since then, I've been back for weekly post-op care, and every week I notice another level of improvement. I never realized how much energy I was spending just trying to get enough air through partially blocked passages. Now, I'm breathing in ways I never thought I could. It's practically effortless. It's been life-changing. His staff is also incredible. They're friendly, organized, and really on top of everything. They called me between appointments to see how I was doing and if I had any questions. They had all the paperwork ready when I woke up from surgery, and they walked me through every question I had afterward. The whole operation runs like a well oiled machine. Every time I go, the office is calm and never overcrowded. I found out he only does one surgery per day, which honestly explains a lot. He's not rushing between patients or juggling five procedures. If it's your surgery day, he's focused on you and you only. Whether it's that approach or just the fact that more people haven't discovered him yet, I feel incredibly lucky I found his place when I did. If you've been struggling with chronic sinus or nasal issues, I can't recommend Dr. Scaccia enough. For me, it's the first time in my life that I feel like I can really breathe. That alone is worth everything.
