After an examination Dr. Lam told me 'your vision is pretty good but we will fine tune it'. This was the downfall of my vision. After the second adjustment my vision was completely different. The distance and reading vision did not match as before. We did a third adjustment and the results were different again. The distance vision was good and matched. I had little intermediate vision and poor reading vision. At this point I could do a fourth adjustment but had no guarantee of improved results. I decided to do the lock in knowing that at least my distance would be good. When I told DR. Lam that the first adjustment was the best, he snapped at me and said it was do to it being a new lens. Odd since the only info you need for an appointment is the patient's name and birth date. The remaining "personal" information would be the policy holder of the insurance which would be me. Pretty sure my 21 YO doesn't know who the insurer is, my birth date or the last four of my SSN which is what they need to submit the insurance claim. Not sure that the less than user friendly staff understands the concept of HIPAA in this context. I am the person providing all the of the "personal" information. Never been told I couldn't make an appointment for someone in my family because of HIPAA. Happy to take my business elsewhere.
