The result was just okay, but the top was cut short enough that it stuck up no matter what product I used. I went back twice more to be fair, but had the same issue each time. On the third visit, two additional barbers were on duty. While I appreciate a light, friendly atmosphere, the joking and roughhousing while I was in the chair felt unprofessional. I also noticed the station wasn't cleaned between clients--hair on the floor and tools not obviously sanitized--which was disappointing. There was a special going on to attract customers, but the barber charged me the full price all 3 times. I'm moving on to a different shop, but I hope management takes this as constructive feedback: clearer communication with clients (photos help), consistent sanitation between cuts, and a more professional tone on the floor would make a big difference. I'm going to try the Devon location in Park Ridge to see if get better results.

My last appointment with Jim was in September of 2024, and at that time he told me he was planning to rent a chair at a barber shop in Park Ridge and cut hair two days a week. I don't know if his plans worked out. Jim is a classic old school barber and those are very hard to find. If he decided to retire, I wish him all the best. He deserves it.

The barbers are exceptionally skilled and meticulous in their work, and have the ability to cut hair to many different styles.
