Really nice restaurant. Friendly servers. Good food. It's a diner. My wife had a mushroom and Swiss burger that she very much enjoyed. I had a Maid-Rite. It's a loose meat hamburger with mustard, pickle & onion. I added cheese and it was delicious. We got a half foot of onion rings. They were outstanding. The chili was good too. This is a great place to visit while in Hannibal. The homemade root beer was absolutely fantastic! Free refills. We liked it so much we went back the next day for lunch. My wife had an amazing Reuben and fries. And I had 2 Maid-Rites.

This place is great! The menu is quite large and they have a very impressive vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free menu. The vegan burger was very good and worth the higher price. The wait time was short and the food came out piping hot. The restaurant is pretty nice and there's a cool little gift shop on one end. There's something for everyone here and you should definitely check it out!

We hadn't been at the mark Twain dinette in like 15 years. So happy we went. The food was really good and the service was excellent! The place was very cute and had a good Hannibal feel to it.

Great local place with a Mark Twain History.... Local people were eating there so we knew it would be good AND it was. It was a Saturday night and we were lucky to find this place using YELP.

Better than I expected. My food was excellent. It's a nice enough place with a cool gift store attached. My only complaint would be that someone in our party of 4 wanted to order fried chicken which would take longer to prepare, but didn't want to slow down the other orders for the rest of us. The waitress couldn't figure out how to make that happen. I found that pretty ridiculous. Other than that, the service was good.

We stopped in Hannibal to break up a long drive and this is the cutest little town. I thought the Mark Twain Dinette looked good and it did not disappoint. It gives very much comfort food vibes. We got the Mississippi BBQ burger and the catfish sandwich. Both were so delicious! The portion sizes are perfect to fill you up, and not need a to go box. It's nothing super special or amazing, but everything hit the spot. Our server was also really warm and friendly.

Unassuming from an outsider's POV but wow, the food was fantastic. Got the philly cheesesteak with mashed potatoes and gravy (and 4 bottles of root beer to go). Already considering what I'll try next time.

Great home cooked food with courteous waitresses, I had the horse shoe and my wife had a tenderloin. We will return to enjoy it again.

Great maid rite sandwich. Always pairs well with their onion rings. A Hannibal Mo tradition.

The homemade root beer is awesome. It's our family tradition: when we pass through the wonderful town of Hannibal, we stop for a root beer.

We were caught in a torrential pour and glad to find a good place to eat. Very traditional setting but nothing spectacular.

We had one of the most enjoyable meals of our lives here! Service was friendly with a smile and many patient answers for our many questions. Turns out we love Turkish food. We had only had it once or twice before. LaBinnah Bistro is simply magnificent! We started with the Dolma appetizer. I have a soft spot for grape leaves, and these were outstanding! Definitely top three that I've ever had. My wife had the Istanbul shrimp and she loved them. Her boiled potatoes and asparagus were cooked exactly to her liking. I had the Saç Tava, which is Turkish stirfry beef with yellow peppers and tomatoes. I think there was some garlic in it. It was served with the best saffron rice I've ever tasted. We were completely spoiled with this Turkish home cooking. SO GOOD! We had a delicious and reasonably priced bottle of wine and the Godiva tall chocolate cake for dessert. It was moist and delicious but not overpoweringly sweet. Look at my photos of the interior of this place it's just charming and quaint. So lovely. We were visiting from the Kansas City area and we are absolutely enamored with this little restaurant and we will be back as much as possible!!!

Accordingly the Merchants Payments Coalition the credit card surcharge/admin fee, has increased from 2.02% in 2010 to 2.35% in 2024. Now while I agree this seems a little high, it's not catastrophic, and I have trouble believing this 0.33% increase has directly led to this brave new world of bifurcated billing: one price for cash and second price that is somewhat more than 0.33% greater. Well it has at the The Brick Oven, as I was charged 3.75% (see photo). If your going charge me more to use my credit card, then you need inform me. And as the only thing I really demand from capitalism is transparent pricing, do owners really want to start off my dining experience with a review of how it ends? Well instead this place chose to avoid this checkered conversation by annotating the bottom of my bill accordingly. Dining here was supposed to a moment to relax with my wife and think some very Twainian thoughts, and not about conducting some financial analysis. But I guess that's the last memory the owner wants to impart. Our server (the guy who lives above the place), was excellent and I feel bad about taking the difference between 3.75% and my 2% credit card cash back out of his tip, but something must be done. Btw: Whenever I'm asked to choose between paying more or paying cash, I always have a distinct feeling it's less about saving a dollar in credit card fees and more about saving 20 dollars in taxes.

Reallyl a cool, huge family dining room with plenty of huge tables for big families, plus booths and small tables. You don't have to wait to sit in the bar area (if available). Our waitress, Phoebe, was AMAZING! You should absolutely ask for her if you dine here. She was on point and super kind, efficient and fast. We enjoyed the generous dinner salad which came as part of my wife's fried shrimp dinner, which she LOVED! The salad was HUGE! 4 oz of dressing too. I always have to ask for extra. Not here. If you DO need extra, it's 4 MORE ounces for 59¢, which is a bargain. I can't imagine using 8 oz of dressing, but you do you. ;) The Fiddlestik that came with the salad was delicious! I LOVED it! My wife thought the bread was under cooked, but I like doughy bread (and cookies). My chicken fried steak was simply outstanding! I don't think it was hand breaded, but I don't care. The taste was there and it was everything. The mashed potatoes and gravy may be the best I've EVER had! They were spectacular! Fiddlestiks has it going ON in the kitchen!! WOW! I love that they have salt and pepper shakers on the table PLUS a black pepper grinder on every table! Fresh ground black pepper is a staple in our house and we loved it here. We were full as ticks with no room for dessert. Maybe next time, if we skip the salad, but I want that salad again!
