a plate of food and a fork

Dude. The homemade buns are amazing. They don't serve fries so if ya have kids who are fry kids then let them know it's oven roasted potatoes (which are soooo goood). The owners are so nice and friendly it feels like you are talking to an old family friend. Highly recommend

I don't think I can say enough good things about this restaurant. I was looking for a place about half way between Chicago and Kansas City to meet my daughter for Thanksgiving. They were kind enough to open for us and the food was the best Thanksgiving feast I have ever had - and I am a good cook. Everything here is made from scratch and it is delicious. The pies are phenomenal. There was peach pie, regular pecan, chocolate pecan and pumpkin. Various cheesecakes and brownies all with home made whipped cream. The family which owns it are probably among the nicest people in the world, and you feel immediately at home. If you are looking for fancy, this isn't it. If you are looking for delicious, real food like the kind your grandmother made when you were little, this is the place.

    Interior. Very comfy.

They have the BEST Bloody Marys I've tasted outside of New Orleans. I'm not much on bars but this joint was fun from the get go. It's definitely a local joint but the atmosphere is very relaxed and not at all unfriendly. Nothing fancy, nothing pretentious. Seems like a come as you are, but come respectful. I'll definitely return. Just as an FYI they do not take credit cards but do have an ATM machine handy.

They also have WiFi on request. The menu selection is not soul food. It is an assortment of popular dishes that can typically be found in bars. The drink menu is non-existent, but the drinks are plenty. One can speculate that the hard working farmers and cowboys who might drop in simply don't need fruity drinks... Liquor is minimally mixed. I ordered jalapeno poppers and fried mushrooms. Both were tasty, especially with the ranch dressing provided. The staff appear friendly. The bartender was helpful, but she did not have a bubbly and chipper disposition. This was perfectly fine for me. Karaoke is Friday nights, but I visited on a Thursday. This night wasn't one of the extras, unfortunately. All in all, this place is one I intend to visit time and time again. I'm glad such a gem exists in such a remote region.

From the moment we walked in we felt very welcome, even when they found out I had a gluten allergy. Everyone was so nice and several staff, including the owner and his wife, talked to us about my allergy. (I wish I had gotten their names) I felt confident that I wouldn't have any issues eating here. My husband got the fried chicken, baked beans, and macaroni and cheese. He said his meal was delicious! I had the pulled pork with Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce, potato salad, and collard greens. I asked for the BBQ sauce before I saw the pulled pork. The pork was so delicious and moist that it didn't even need the sauce! All of my food tasted amazing! We also had a sample of the smoked ribs. We have had ribs in some of the best places in STL and KC but these are by far the BEST ribs we have ever had and they didn't have any sauce on them! We will be getting the ribs when we go back. The prices are comparable to any other area restaurant, not too high for what you get. We definitely recommend eating here!

We had one of the most enjoyable meals of our lives here! Service was friendly with a smile and many patient answers for our many questions. Turns out we love Turkish food. We had only had it once or twice before. LaBinnah Bistro is simply magnificent! We started with the Dolma appetizer. I have a soft spot for grape leaves, and these were outstanding! Definitely top three that I've ever had. My wife had the Istanbul shrimp and she loved them. Her boiled potatoes and asparagus were cooked exactly to her liking. I had the Saç Tava, which is Turkish stirfry beef with yellow peppers and tomatoes. I think there was some garlic in it. It was served with the best saffron rice I've ever tasted. We were completely spoiled with this Turkish home cooking. SO GOOD! We had a delicious and reasonably priced bottle of wine and the Godiva tall chocolate cake for dessert. It was moist and delicious but not overpoweringly sweet. Look at my photos of the interior of this place it's just charming and quaint. So lovely. We were visiting from the Kansas City area and we are absolutely enamored with this little restaurant and we will be back as much as possible!!!
