A child could definitely escape pretty easily but it might slow them down a little bit. There is plenty of parking but it isn't really walking distance to any facilities..... however, lots of small restaurants do take-away nearby if you'd like to bring a picnic :)

I will have to attach a photo of the updated play equipment the next time we visit. Little bonus- someone added a touch of art to a small segment of the walking trail, a few little hearts spray painted on the sidewalk. My kids love to count them as we walk. In all this is a great neighborhood park for the area. A lot of options for all and dogs are allowed.

Second- it is a school playground, so it is only open on non-school hours. Third- the equipment gets incredibly hot during the summer. The East side is partially developed with 3 fully fenced baseball fields, a fourth baseball field, a soccer/lacrosse field, a gazebo, a kids play area, and an active beaver dam / pond. The trails are all classed as multi-use and enjoyed by hikers, dog walkers and mountain bikers. The west side of the park is a favorite of mountain bikers and has several trails with bike features. Denny Creek runs through the park. Part of this area had been know by local teens as the crash for years. In the 50's there had been an airport on top of Finn Hill and a plane had crashed about 1/2 mile short of the runway. The final remains of the old wood frame canvass covered plane were removed when they built the kids play area. If you are looking for the airport, you will find the Inglemoor Shopping Center (QFC & Bartells, etc,), apartments and houses where it was.

It was lighted, but this wasn't the tree where the festivities were going to be around. We had to walk two blocks or so to get to the other part of the park by the shopping mall. This park has 2 swing benches and the big tree. It also has big stairs to get up to yhe second floor which is kind of an uncovered house tree. Colorful part.

As I drove in I also noticed the painted pillars and decided to check this park out before going in and shopping. The park is very well maintained and neat and tidy. There are abundant benches and tables to sit and just relax, rest, or enjoy something to eat. On the whole, the park is aesthetically pleasing and I liked the artistic twist to the places to sit and overall theme of the park. The seating and tables on the elevated wooden platform were a new style to me. It would be a fun place to sit and eat and watch the cars pass by on the street below. Sculpture art pieces were well executed and contributed to forming a cohesive feel in the park. Painted pillars, my oh my what cool pillars. Each pillar has different artwork painted on it and lists the name of the sponsor for the column, as well as the artist who painted the column, and a quote in theme with the column. Between the columns are suspended benches where you can sit and either face the road or the park. So very cool! Fun place to stop and see some artwork outdoors.

The rest is concrete with a theatre tribune for shows, dances or other events. Spray part for kids to enjoy water on summer days, and plenty of tables with chairs to sit and have a picnic or an icecream! Few trees on that part. The elevated grassy part can be used for playing or walking your dog. Just beware to stop kids before the edge and prevent an accident. It gets busy on summer. There's also a Saturday market. You can park at RTC or on a near park parking lot.

The Redmond Downtown Park was completed not long ago in 2018 and is in the perfect location surrounded by businesses, apartments, and also is not far from the town center. It's a wide two-acre park that features a wide circular grass lawn, landscaping and gardens, active splash pads from May to September, plus a pavilion and stage. The dining groove is especially pretty in the springtime when all the cherry blossom trees are in full bloom! Most of the tables generally become occupied around lunchtime, but many people like to host a picnic on the grass lawn as well. Events would be held at the park prior to the pandemic, and sometimes art sculptures are left on display. Park has always been well-kept. Street parking, bicycle racks, and public restrooms are available. There is plenty of clearance, but still do be mindful if you bring your children as two major roads border the park.

My companion and I played some lively one-on-one basketball at Brickyard Road Park earlier this…read moreevening. There is no parking lot here, it is located in a residential neighborhood, so we parked on the street. We had driven to Woodin Creek Park first, but the basketball court there was in use. We waited for a while, but it was still in use, so we drove over to this park instead. There are no restrooms here either. There are a few short walking trails. A couple of people were walking their dogs. When we first arrived at the basketball court, it was in use also. It was a great evening to play basketball - cool but not too chilly, and not rainy, with crisp early spring air. We waited for a while, and those players left, so we were able to use the basketball court for about 45 minutes. At one point while we were playing basketball, 3 young boys came whizzing right through the basketball court on their bicycles. They looked very comfortable doing this, like it may have been something that they do often. They cut right across the area where we were playing. My companion landed a perfect shot, and one of the boys yelled cheerfully, "Nice shot!" My companion thanked him. I said yes, it really was a nice shot, wasn't it. I was a bit relieved when the boys left, though. I must say this is the first time in my entire life that I have ever seen kids riding their bikes around and through a basketball court! I appreciated how the grassy field behind the basketball hoop was sloped upwards, and how the fence on the side of the basketball court was one of the tall chain-link fences. It would be hard to lose a basketball on this court. The rim of the basketball hoop was oddly constructed. I'm used to scoring about 45 - 60 points in a 30 - 45 minute one-on-one game (I played basketball a lot growing up), but I scored far less points than that today, and I didn't really feel off of my game. I think it had to do with the way that the hoop was constructed. I still won the game though (barely) - yeah! I'd be open to playing basketball on this court again, but it might not be my first choice.

Has a pretty good net and the lines are still visible. A nice surrounding neighborhood that is very quaint and pleasant. Up the hill is a play area for kids, walking/bike path (very short), and good grass area.
