What a cute little playground. Suited for 5+ year olds, although I was there with my 2 year old and he had loads of fun. You just gotta keep a close eye and stay near your little one at all times. Make sure not to miss the right turn to get to the park...the sign isn't obvious - it's sort of tucked away so just slow down when you're driving so you don't miss it. You gotta take a right before you reach the traffic light, otherwise it's another 5 minutes to get back. read more

The kids playground seemed up kept equipment wise, however the park was trashed. Garbage every where. Cans, snacks bags, water bottles you name it just covered the entire park. Not sure if someone had a birthday over the weekend and left the place a mess or if it's normally like this. read more

Miners corner is great for colder days. With the playground set in a grove of trees, this park tends to be less windy than others. There is a basketball court, parking lot, bathrooms and water fountains. For birthday parties there is a covered gazebo. The playground has great slides that are metal instead of plastic. This makes one of them pretty fast and fun for the littles! Parks got a sandbox and a swing set. There is also a carousel spinning thing they can sit in. One of the unique features of this park is all the bushes and trees around it. There are little trails your kids can play on. So for a park, you really feel like you're playing in the forest. My family and I were looking for some parks outside of Seattle and while there is plenty of options, finding Miner's Corner was great for our 16 month old. She had fun on the swings and playing in the sand pit area. The playground area is great and well equipped. I saw lots of kids/parents buzzing about. If your kids do well on playground equipment then they will definitely love this park. Definitely want to come back here. read more

A great little park to take the kids to. The play structures are well maintained and the kids have a great time on them. The sand play area is decent sized, and the kids all share toys. I like that all of the other kids we've run into at this park are polite and play well with each other. The parents also keep an eye on their kids, unlike other places where the kids run wild while largely ignored by their parents.. I see plenty of people walking on the path, with and without dogs, as well as little ones on scooters or bikes. The path is paved & well maintained--it meanders through grass, tall trees & flowers. Keep an eye out for chickens crossing the road & for the trampoline dog! Picnic area is serviceable, though, like other reviewers said, there are no trashcans, so keep the pack in/pack out mentality in the front of your mind. read more

Moved away from the area and just came back to play for the first time in years. The park is wearing well. The zip line moves with ease, the merry go round as well. Everything was in great shape. They replaced the baby swing with a tandem baby swing so a parent or older sibling can swing with baby. That was a neat addition. read more

The sandbox has been altered so that it no longer ends in a cesspool, which is awesome. I like their concept, it just didn't play out very well. Now that my son is a little older, he actually really enjoys the playground and can access most of the features. They also added a new swing that accommodates both a baby and older child, which is amazing. The play area is mostly fences in and has cute little nature areas, and the bushes along the walking path have matured a little. Overall, I like this park much better now than my first impression. Bathrooms are usually pretty clean too. Only bummer is that someone vandalized some of the beautiful glass artwork along the walking path. read more

Everytime we come here my kids talk about it for DAYS! As far as playground in this area go - this one is definitely fantastic. Nestled in a little valley, extensive equipment including zip line, monkey bars, slides, swings and sand pit. Lots of trees around for shade in the summer. At some point, I'd love to explore beyond the playground because there is other things to offer as well. Basket ball net, bathrooms on site, maybe other facilities? Not a huge amount of parking given the size and popularity of the park. Covid notes: This place was popular on a dry but chilly wednesday afternoon. Most people wearing masks (all parents, most kids). Bathrooms closed (not sure if this was seasonal or covid related). My kids didn't stop moving for an hour - we'll definitely be back. read more

This park has a fantastic play structure/area for kids. It is quite shaded so be sure and bring layers even when the sun is out since we noticed it was especially chilly in the shady area. (We will have to see how it is when it is hot out since we would probably really appreciate the shade then.) There is a water garden - so my daughter likes pulling up the thin ice on top. There is also a sand area. The play structures seemed suitable for little and big kids. I didn't walk the path around the park, but noticed a few other people doing laps. read more

As the kids were finishing their mid-winter break, we knew we had to hit at least one more park before it was all said and done despite cooler temperatures. Today's adventure was at Miners Corner Park, which is another well marked, easy-to-find park in the Snohomish County Park System. There is a very large parking lot for this park, making it easy to get your family in and out. The parking lot was packed when we visited as well, so it's very clear that this is a very popular park-this is the most people we've seen at one time at a park yet since we've gotten here. There were tons of families with kids our age under 12. And it was easy to see why, because as soon as you pull up and park you can see a giant basketball court, modern restrooms, very well paved trails, and most importantly to my kids, a giant playground set with attractions for just about every child imaginable. My kids absolutely loved the playground and enjoy the interaction with wonderful families and kids from around the area. Everybody seem to be in a good mood enjoying the outdoors. There were slides, things to climb, swings, and even an amazing area where they can dig in the sand and find fossils. There were a ton of things for them to do. Once I was able to pry my kids off the playground said, we took one stroll around the trails in the park and we were immediately impressed. It's a very quiet area through more wetlands with lots of beautiful mass covered trees to see you and enjoy. There were other people going around the park on scooters skateboards and bicycles and other various pieces of equipment. We all thought it was very cool that people were allowed to use these things at this part as the trails are definitely prepared well for that situation. We will definitely be going back soon, as this park has easily become my kids' favorite. Very highly recommended! read more

One of the very best parks in the area in my opinion. The parking lot is large, and the play area is expansive. There's a sand pit, a toddler area, and a large area for the aged 5-12 kids. The ground is covered in a rubberized "carpet" that gives a great deal of support and keeps the kids safe. It can be a bit slippery but it doesn't seem to bother the kids. There's a sandbox for digging, a tree house for climbing, swings for, well, swinging, climbers, monkey bars and rings, a zipline-type swing, spinners. There's a large covered area to reserve for parties, water fountains, and 3 clean bathrooms. The park has no garbage cans (except in the restrooms) and encourages the patrons to "pack it in, pack it out". There is also a basketball court and nearby trails, although I couldn't convince my granddaughter to leave the play area. There is plenty of space for picnicking. It's not close enough for us to make it our new go-to park, but we will become regulars. read more

We came here for the first time today. It has a wide range of toys for the kids to play on and a nice soft and bouncy composite ground cover. There are lots of large rocks for seating but no benches other than in the covered picnic area up away from the playground. There are also no trash cans which they bill as some eco-conscious hooey but its just a money saving measure that creates inconvenience for visitors.There are trash receptacles in the bathrooms (but paper towels were out in all bathrooms, hand dryers only). I was not sure what to make of the sand and water garden. The sandbox was spacious. The only bit of water was in a little pond thing next to the sandbox and it had murky water and a few plants. I wouldn't want my kid to stick their hand in it. From the website I gathered it was somehow interactive but there were no signs and as the water was so unappealing, the only action seen was parents trying to keep toddlers from falling in. While we were there, my son and a couple other people in our group started experiencing allergic reactions to something. There was a lot of fenced off areas of grass and plants so its possible something there was blooming. My son ended up having a full-blown episode and his eyes swelled shut. That's not the park's fault per se, but just a warning that if you are sensitive to environmental allergens you may want to bring something with you just in case. read more

I love this park. I walk up that hill on 228th each week 2 - 3 times with my dog because this is one of my favourite parks! The trail is nice, there are a couple geocaches, I love the wood fish he neighbors most like placed in the little ponds, and the dog can run around in one of the grassy areas of no prior are around. The play area seems great for kids. It could be good for biking as well. The park isn't big, but you can get a good few laps in around it. It also has a big covered area for parties and well kept restrooms. Go ahead and visit this park if you live in the area with kids or if your passing through and need a picnic! read more

If you have kids this place has a huge newish play structure, a large sand pit with digging toys and a solar powered covered picnic area, with electrical outlets so you can plug in anything you may need. The toys are top notch with many toy wheels and chairs built into the play structure. They also have a tree house (20 feet up) with several working spy glasses and a roof. A roof is helpful to keep kids dry and equipment from getting rusty, old guys like me remember wood towers without roofs not so long ago. The tree house also has chest height fences to keep kids from jumping out since it's so tall, another smart safety idea. They have a low hanging set of monkey bars for younger kids and a set of monkey rings too. I loved the voice tube to talk to people above in the treehouse. There is a small trail around the park but it isn't huge, still very nice and the basketball court is a nice feature I don't see often. They have about four swings but they are nice and one is a double for an adult and infant, very high tech. The hills in the park are a fun feature and the safety and design was well thought out. The are using a soft spongy type of turf instead of bark which needs to be refilled and gets in your shoes, it's very high tech stuff. They have a zip line and musical instruments you can play such as drums and bells. All kinds of climbing for young kids on up to age 12. They also have a water fountain and bathrooms which is very nice to see. It's hard to get bored here if you have kids with energy. read more

A beautiful new park with several major design flaws and inconveniences. 1) No trash cans It's not uncommon at this park to come across discarded trash on the playground or walking paths. The eco-friendly message is disingenuous, covering for a cheap streak in county parks and rec. The result is unsanitary and unsafe conditions for people and animals, both domestic and wild. A quick inspection turned up discarded kids drink boxes and plastic bags. You can train kids to put their trash in bins but what do you expect when there are none? I get that you don't want raccoons in the trash, but there are special cans to prevent that. No excuses, pony up the money and get some trash cans. 2) Not dog friendly Normally it doesn't bother me when a park doesn't distribute free pet waste bags because I always have one handy, but coupled with the lack of trash cans or other kinds of pet waste disposal container, this becomes more of an issue. It wasn't fun driving home with a warm bag of poop in the car on a hot day. Not pet friendly, and definitely not pet owner friendly. But hey, at least the water fountain can dispense water for dogs (provided you bring the bowl). 3) Not very sheltered While the play structure at this park is pretty cool, the sand boxes are not. They have no shade so your kids can have fun while they slowly roast and burn. The number of kids playing in the sand compared to the amount of space in the sandbox was very low. Big waste of space, but undoubtedly cheap to maintain. Cheap, I sense a theme here. 4) Not especially safe There is some kind of giant, free-standing metal tub next to the sand area but it was empty and plugged up with sand when we visited. Great, a pointless metal structure in a park that is otherwise completely padded for your child's safety. 5) Not comfortable for parents Hope you like sitting on the ground. The playground abounds with fake rocks and trees for climbing on, but they aren't much for sitting. But maybe you'd like to take a rest on the concrete wall near the merry-go-round. Hope you don't mind the bird poop. The very least they could do is add a bench or two for parents. 6) Not accessible for the elderly Speaking of benches, you don't see many elderly people at this park. I wonder why... There is a beautiful little walking loop... But you have to walk a very long ways to find anything resembling a bench. Maybe Snohomish County Parks are trying to discourage old people and bums from spending time here. Seems to be working. Or maybe they're just waiting for someone to die in hopes that their loved ones will donate a bench in their memory. The only reason this park gets two stars is that it has a nice play structure and pretty wildflowers (if you don't mind the buzzing power lines overhead). Boo Snohomish County, you could do a lot better! read more

Beautiful park that is extremely accessible and fun for kids of all ages. There is a good mixture of sunny and shady spots available. It was nice to stand in the sun for awhile when my daughter was playing and then be able to find a spot in the shade when I got too warm. The surrounding trees are tall and make a beautiful backdrop for the park. Since discovering this park, my daughter has asked to go back several times. read more

This park is very cool and definitely rates high if you have older kids (4+). My son is almost two and a woman is met at another park told me I'd love it for his age because it has all kinds of cool sensory stuff and the whole playground is padded with that rubber material. This is all true- they've got great trails, even a few little ones inside the partially-fenced playground, a big sandpit and some water features, which would be spectacular, if it weren't for the proximity to all the playground equipment that is really only designed for big kids. It was by far the coolest jungle gym I've ever seen, and there were some fun things on the ground level to keep my son happy, but I had to be right near him the whole time and spent a good amount of time running to catch him before he ran in front of the swings (all but one seat was for larger kids) which were right in front of a walkway/play area- close enough to guarantee my kid would get beaned if I wasn't holding his hand and guiding him along the outer edge of the path. There are other cool toys that you stand or sit on and spin, but again, my son would run straight for them while older kids were on them, and would surely have gotten a few knocks at the least if I wasn't right on his heels. The gym itself has upper levels that are very high and complex, (all fully railed in, except openings for slides and poles) and I was thankful the upper levels could only be accessed through one set of stairs in a somewhat inconspicuous (to a two-year old) spot, so I didn't have to keep pulling him off those or chasing him up a jungle gym if he got up too fast. Surrounding the playground is a nice little loop of wooded trails that made for a relaxing little stroll before we got back in the car. This park is really great, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it for young kids unless you are devoted to chasing them to keep them from being clobbered or climbing up a 15 foot jungle gym apparatus. I'll have to keep looking for a park that's a little more toddler friendly and remember this one for times when my son is older. read more

Our family loves this park! First, it has a great little trail that loops through the park. It is a wonderful paved path that my son and dog love to run through! Secondly, the playground is awesome! Our lo loved the park. Hubby and I enjoyed the trail that circles the park. There are enough things to keep both young kids as well as slightly older ones occupied. The sand pit was our lo's favourite. The park isnt too large, so it did seem crowded. Also some of the more popular stuff , like swings was always busy. But really no complaints. I'm glad that they don't offer trashbags for dog owners because I think taxpayer money could be spent on better things than providing bags for you to pick up your dirty dog Pooh . I actually think the dogs shouldn't be allowed in Parks at all. My dog found the new stone hedge of America! It's a new wonder of the world! How did it get there? Dinosaurs? Aliens? Clearly man could not create such a thing? I think it was a sacrificial site for Pacific Northwest salmon but I'm not sure but I shall call it Bear's crystal in the middle of a rock in the middle of a park in the middle of the city in the middle of the state in the Pacific Northwest corner of the United States because we are not in the middle of the Pacific Ocean but are north and west of the Pacific Ocean. That's why California is called the west coast and not the south west coast because there is no pacific south coast it's called west coast and Washington Oregon and Idaho is the Pacific Northwest but Idaho doesn't touch the Pacific Ocean. And Alaska doesn't have a location it's just called Alaska because the arctic circle isn't a state or a country but a circle that is part of the arctic? How in the world did this stone get placed in here? Anyways it's miner's finders keepers it belongs to my dog his name is Bear. If you want to see it you have to find it its hidden really well we didn't move it we left it where we found it! read more
