Excellent coffee shop! We were down in Trinidad and needed a pick me up around 1pm or so. Parked on…read moreMain Street and headed in and ordered. Glenda with a very delicious and first class prepared sixteen ounce Matcha and yours truly with a double espresso latte with whole milk. Delicious as well. A few years ago I sold my 1977 Swiss Cremina espresso machine, an original pull design. Since then, I make French Press, black, whole beans brought in from Nossa Coffee in Oregon. Being that the Cremina is long gone, sometimes I crave a really good whole milk latte, double shot. Mutiny delivered. As mentioned, delicious. Highly recommended for their quality of product and execution. Sorry, no pics. My bad. We were on the move.

This coffee shop has so much to see. Comic books, CD's, DVD's, and I think even has vinyl records…read more The art on the walls was really cool and I believe most of it is local artists and for sale. The barista was friendly and helped my friend out with several things. I felt the service was great to be honest. My buddy did feel the regulars were treated better, but I kinda think that's just how it is. I have my regular coffee spot in Texas and I feel like while they treat everyone great, I get special attention. So for me, no worries there. My buddy was impressed by their espresso, especially since it was "single source" or something like that. My friend is more into straight espresso, I'm more of a mocha type coffee drinker. I did think Perkatory coffee was slightly better, but honestly only slightly. If I lived there, I could see me bouncing between the two shops where as here, I only go to my local coffee shop.

Walking Main Street an thankfully stumbled upon this gem…read more A.R Mitchell was a Trinidad native and was known as "King of the Pulp Magazine Covers". Most of this art museum is dedicated to his works and accoutrements. If you are fan of Cowboy/Western Art then is a must stop. I Particularly was interested in the Spanish folk art, and Native American pottery. This museum hosts a lot of local artists, with Hans Droog being of particular note, his "Swirly Horse 1" is mesmerizing. The building the art pieces are housed in is 115 years old, this building itself is a work of art, the hardwood alone floors made me swoon. You can easily spend an hour here moving on the 1st floor then 2ed floor and then back down to the gift area. Allyson, was very kind to take time out of her busy day and explain Mitchell's relationship to Harold Von Schmidt who's use of color is unique, his style and expressiveness draws you in, you feel as if you are in the scene he has created. Allyson also answered a million questions, the chat with her was as interesting as the art work. Free admission is the cherry on top.
