Not this place: they cater to locals so keep prices reasonable. The pumps are newer too! It does et a bit busy, specially in winter months because it's on such a main street. But it's worth the stop: save up to $1 per gallon when compared to the overpriced Shell or 76 stations close by.

Growing up, my Father and Grandfather owned and operated an APCO station in Estherville, Iowa, hence my tendency to review every gas station I come across. Gasoline is a commodity, so things like price, clean restrooms (as applicable), and convenience are my key interests in what is usually an unremarkable customer experience. Hence, a 3 Star "A-OK" rating is the most common. That's what this Pacific Gasoline Station received then and right now. I have filled up several times since the review, and what I wrote remains true today. So yesterday, I'm attending a Genoa Western Heritage Day event, look at my phone, and see that a comment had been added to my review. I've pasted it in below, and I'll have to say that it's rare to be personally attacked that way for a middle-of-the-road "A-OK" review. Looking at similar (and lower) Yelp reviews, it appears that I'm not the only one in this "owner's" crosshairs, who might not take such realistic comments well. Since this is a self-serve station and he/she isn't normally around to police customer experiences, I'll be sending knowing smiles and optimism his/her way every time I fill up. SMH. "Our business does not cater to the entitlement that you clearly displayed here in your review. Being a customer does not give you a right to patronize businesses because your ego has less than accommodating expectations. All businesses should be vigilant towards narcissistic customers like you. Thank you for saving our customers from the grief you carry around with you by passing on by."

Nice little place for gas…read more. Clean... ran card at punp so didn't need to go in.. but I peeped in.. lady wasn't that friendly, turned around and walked back to vehicle. Cute little tree with pink blossoms, reminded me of Okinawa .. turned around to see stree line with a great cherry blossom trees... gorgeous.. a gentlemanchanging sign was nice. Stopped in the mini mart at this gas station to grab some protein bars for a Tahoe Knight Monsters…read moregame. I was surprised by the large selection that this little market offers. It packs a huge punch for such a small space! There were many protein bar choices, including Kind, Barebells, MetRX, and many other large-name brands. The drink selection is also good here. I was very surprised to see such a nice refrigerated section, too. Lots of fresh food options for a gas station. Decent quality selection, and the stuff I bought had expiry dates pretty far out. Prices weren't bad. $8 for a bottle of water and two protein bars. Not bad at all. The gas prices were a bit high and usually are high at this station, but I usually avoid getting gas at the lake due to high pricing. I would stop here again for the market if I needed some drinks or snacks and didn't want to go all the way down to the Target past Stateline or back to the Safeway further back on HWY 50.

I declined and said just put it back together so I can come get it please. 2 and a half weeks later the owner tells us the starter is bad. I picked up my car today....1. Battery cover not even put on the battery. 2. Entire engine cover not put back, not in the car, no mention of where it went. 3. Was told the noise it made when it started was due to it needing a new starter. 4. Upon picking it up the same noise was present. This vehicle has previously had the starter replaced like 5 times before I bought it per carfax. Chances are it did not need a new starter since the previous owner had it replaced about a year and a half ago. So I was charged $1383.00 of which I paid 1193.00 and said I would pay the rest later, tomorrow or the next day. I was not provided a receipt, the replaced parts, or even an explanation of what I was paying for. The vehicle is running 100 times worse than it was and is missing some key components and NOW has a busted left headlight that I know for sure was not broken when I dropped it off. When I closed the hood there was no resistance and knowing very little about cars I cant tell you exactly the difference or why only that I closed it just like I always have and it slammed shut feeling very light and cheesy. I have owned 4 Jeep Grand Cherokees in the last 10 years and have had numerous repairs done over the years. I have never been taken advantage of, over charged, lied to, manipulated, and raped as far as repairs go EVER, UNTIL NOW. Even if this shop offered to fix my car completely for free restore to brand new (its a 2017) I would not take it back. Nor would I let anyone in my family take any of their cars here. I absolutely will not promote or recommend this shop to anyone I know or dont know even. Having been a resident in this town for more than 35 years I have never been as angry as I am right now. I have never felt in my gut that id been f*@$%d over like I have been this time. And that does not even include the amount of money I had to spend for borrowing and renting other cars to get to and from work for the last 32 days while my car was "being repaired". I would rather my almost two year old grandson work on it than go back to this shop.

Then when I pick it up the next day, it makes a terrible noise when starting the car. The owner says "oh I didn't test drive it", and says "ok we'll try a new gasket" I come to pick it up the next day and the owner says "maybe it's fixed or maybe the noise is just in your head". Decided to cut my losses here. I'm now down $450 and my van now needs to be fixed by someone else. So bummed I took my van here.
