I paid $199 on 4/13/26 to have a 2024 KIA Telluride shipped from FL to Fayetteville, NC location. I…read morescheduled an appointment to test drive the vehicle today, 4/27/26. However, to my disappointment the vehicle was not in the condition pictured online. It had multiple areas with chipped paint on the front bumper, around the windows, and top of the vehicle. It has a large scratch on the plastic above the tire on the driver side going down the bumper. I questioned the salesman why this was not documented online or if it happened during transit why wasn't I notified. He advised it's a used car it's going to have imperfections. Online the listing only showed an imperfection for one of the rims. If this vehicle would have been accurately posted online I would have NEVER paid for shipping cost. This vehicle only has 12,XXX miles and 2 years old. I requested a refund for the shipping cost through corporate due to the way this vehicle is fraudulently shown online. I spoke with salesman at the Fayetteville location they informed me the manager did not see anything wrong with the vehicle. I informed him of all the areas I saw wrong with the vehicle. He stated he would go look and call me back. He returned my call a little later stating those are all signs of normal wear and tear on a used vehicle. They do not show those pictures online because it's normal. I asked him about the scratches. He told me good news he was able to get it off with his fingernails. He wanted me to come back to look at the vehicle. I advised him no way he got the scratches off with his fingernails. I felt of the scratches myself while viewing the vehicle. The scratches did not budge, paint was completely gone, and the metal of the car was showing. He stated he would not be able to refund me but could give me a $199 credit to have another vehicle shipped through Carmax. I explained I wanted a refund and did not want another vehicle shipped here. He refused the refund and stated they don't post all imperfections of cars online. The 360 pictures online are stock photos. They don't have access to take 360 photos. I explained in detail the other photos posted did not show the scratches on the bumper or chipped paint on the vehicle. This was my FIRST experience with Carmax and it will be my LAST. This is complete FRAUD to inaccurately represent a vehicle condition online. I would have NEVER paid to ship the vehicle here if I would have known the accurate condition. DO NOT SHIP/PURCHASE vehicles from Carmax. They are shady and do dirty business! No way he got those scratches off with his fingernails. I have attached pictures of the online post as well as pictures I took today of the vehicle. You can see for yourself how fraudulently this vehicle was advertised. Carmax should 100% give me a refund for its FALSE advertisement! If I could give them NEGATIVE STARS I would. They do not even deserve a 1 star! UPDATE 4/28/26: Carmax Customer Service REFUSED to refund my money. Will only provide a $199 shipping credit to have another vehicle shipped. They told me today they were able to buff the scratch off of the bumper on the vehicle. However, yesterday I was told they were able to use their fingernails to get the scratch off the bumper. So which one is it? Regardless the vehicle had a scratch, chipped paint, etc that was NOT documented online. Again, if the car was accurately posted online I would have NEVER paid to ship the vehicle. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH CARMAX! RUNNN!

Update - after my initial review James from the Fayetteville store reached out to me to make things…read moreright. To his credit he did make things right. The shipping fee was reimbursed and also credited if I decide to purchase another vehicle. I understand things happen and I don't blame the Fayetteville store. I blame the corporation and the process. That being said I do feel that I will give Carmax a second chance. Original post - I reserved a car 2 weeks ago that was to be shipped from Ohio to Fayetteville. The delivery window has come and gone and I still can't get an update. Shipping fees are non-refundable even if the car hasn't moved. I feel like I've been scammed.

I bought my 2022 RAM 1500 warlock from Acknowledged. Please find the revised text below:…read more On January 1, 2024, I searched for a Nissan Titan and another truck on car.com and another site. The Nissan had low mileage, but during the test drive, I noticed scratches and damages on the upholstery, and the bottom of the truck door seemed rusted. I decided to look for another truck within the same budget. This led me to purchase a 2022 RAM 1500 Warlock from Sanford Imports. I informed them that the price listed was only if I would get a loan from Sanford Imports, and I didn't feel comfortable with their options, so I decided to stick with the loan I already had. There was no pressure to get the loan from Sanford Imports. During the test drive, I noticed the vehicle needed an oil change, and I was informed that the oil change had already happened. The car would also have a LoJack. The experience would have been different if I hadn't done the research on the vehicle and loan amount. On January 2, 2024, I picked someone up from the airport and got a light and messages saying that the electronic braking system needed service while driving on cruise control. I called Sanford Imports, and they advised me to visit the local dealership as the car had an under-warranty factory. Following that, I called the RAM dealership. On January 6, 2024, I waited at the RAM dealership for three hours and left. On January 8, 2024, after calling the dealership several times, I informed them that there were issues with the wiring of my truck, and the technician had problems. I was glad that the vehicle was under warranty. On January 11, 2024, the service representative informed me that replacing my alternator could be why the Service Electronic Braking System and Service Antilock Braking messages appeared. The representative said that every time they tried to drive the truck, it would lose power. On January 13, 2024, I was informed that the oil change was not completed during my vehicle test drive, and the wiring within the vehicle was misrouted, which led to the check engine light. The recall that I had to come in for led to my alternator replacement. The technicians also cleaned the sensors as they were filled with sand. All the work completed on my vehicle was under warranty and related to the recall, so I only had to pay a minimal fee for the inspection of the vehicle. At this point, my car has been at the dealership longer than the actual ownership of the vehicle. I'm not disappointed, and I'm glad I was able to solve these minor problems early before my battery was drained or I was in an area where I couldn't get service or get rescued.

Do better sales team. Spring 2026…read more 1. Customer service lacking at the table. 2. Non-negotiable subscription fee for lo-jack, that they don't tell you about until they bring out the sales worksheet! RED FLAG. Made an appointment to test drive a newer used 2025 Honda minivan, gorgeous vehicle. Test drive went mostly well. So close to closing the deal. Would have loved that vehicle to drive. 1st red flag. Pointed out the rear air vent was broken (the horizontal vanes did not move together when manipulated) and the sales guy went in the back and said "naw, it's good and works".... It was broken and after asking he look it twice more and showing him he finally agreed it was broken. 2nd red flag. One key fob, tell the sales guy we "need" two for our family and he says that we don't need two... The stranger knows what my family needs?... Sales manager won't budge on a 2nd key. 3rd red flag. Mandatory subscription/ service /fee---- out comes the sales worksheet and tons of hidden items they tack on. One was removed and he didn't even tell me what it was, so clearly now I want to know what you were selling me. One was mandatory and they would not take it off. They put LoJack on the cars and it's not negotiable. NO thanks. 4th red flag. I talk with my spouse outside a few times about whatever I need to as husband and wife, and the sales guy has the bolts to tell us at the table that we should just not hide things from him and to talk with him more at the table. Crazy, crazy, my kid. Do better sales team. My business and money went elsewhere.

Long story short - if you're looking for a used car and you want a good deal with no BS, go to…read morethese guys. Now the full story: I was in the market for a used Ionic 5, and I first drove one at Echo Park Automotive in Cary, NC. However, when my husband and I were ready to buy, they didn't have one, so I went to someone else (who, for the time being will remain nameless because we're still in the midst of a disagreement). The car came with an adapter, which I thought was for the Ionic so that I could use it with a Tesla supercharger, but it turned out it was the wrong part. It was for a Tesla to use other types of chargers - so wrong way around. Turns out there was no aftermarket source for them, so I was left with either throwing it away (super wasteful) or giving it to someone who could use it. I was determined NOT to take it back to the arseholes that I bought the car from, so I took it to Echo Park with the intention of just giving it to them for someone who buys a Tesla from them so the part wouldn't go to waste. When I explained the situation to Tyler, he took my number and told me that they would order the right part for me and call me when it came in. WHAT?????!!!!! I didn't even buy a car from them and they're offering to help me with a $250 part????? WOAH! Needless to say; next time I need a car, I'll wait a month so I can buy my car of choice from these guys. In short....THEY ROCK
