These guys are great! The trim was coming off my windshield and they glued it back on for free. They were also extremely friendly!

These people are crazy! They wanted $297 for a new windshield. Safelite and Glassmasters quoted me $190.

I've had windshield repairs completed through Safelite previously (at a different location…read moreout-of-state) and have NEVER had issues until today. I would give ZERO stars if possible. Upon filing my claim nearly a week ago, I was not given the option to bring my car into the physical location for a repair. As a result, I was forced to have the technician come to me. After approximately 20 minutes of working on my windshield, the technician tells me that the he was unable to fix the chip and that I would need to have my windshield replaced. After inspecting his work, not only is the chip still there, but an additional large chip in my windshield was created and there are now cracks extending from the original chip (that I filed a claim through my insurance on) to the new chip in the glass and further on down. I understand that sometimes these issues arise during repair, but after speaking with local repair shops to now schedule a windshield replacement, it appears this was technician error - the outside temperature is hot today and no real effort was made to ventilate my car to cool the glass prior to work starting. Also to make matters worse - the technician offered to make me a future appointment for a windshield replacement and I politely declined opting to "shop around" since this experience had fallen short of my expectations. Only to realize that they went ahead and scheduled me one anyways because I received a text message stating that I had a windshield replacement appointment scheduled for the end of this week. Additionally, it appears that Safelite started a new claim pending through my insurance company for a $500 fee for the replacement. I absolutely would NOT recommend getting your windshield repaired through Safelite and highly suggest going elsewhere if at all possible.

Oh where to begin! Let's start with...I made an appointment on Monday to get my windshield replaced…read morewith mobile repair. I went into the Location on Vandiver to make this appointment and I told them that because of where I work, I would not have my cell phone, and to NOT call my cell phone! Call my work phone or my Aunt's phone, and gave them both of those numbers. What would you know? They called my cell phone while I was in work and Terry canceled my appointment. So I rescheduled for Today. I reiterated that they needed to call my work phone number. I made sure they had my work phone number as the primary number and my extension. What do you think happened? They called my freaking cell phone... AGAIN...and then the work number... but didn't bother putting in the extension? Matt canceled my appointment. AGAIN. So I rescheduled at the Vandiver location for a drop off instead, because I'm over mobile repair.

Too bad no stars isn't an option! I have had mobile services scheduled 4 different times now and…read morethey have yet to replace my window. FIRST ATTEMPT: the tech arrived with the wrong window. Even though my vin was provided at the time of scheduling, they claim the window I needed should've been laminated, the one they brought was not. SECOND ATTEMPT: the tech arrived and they had the laminated window, just not the correct window. They had the back passenger window; should've been the driver front window... THIRD ATTEMPT: the tech arrived, with a trainee. The window was replaced. Upon them returning my keys, the tech stated, "The window is under warranty not for another chip, but for any damages we may have caused." What a weird thing to say.... The next day I was on my way to work. I rolled the window down and it wouldn't go back up. I ended up having to leave my car in the parking lot at work, in Columbia's crime-infested glory, with the window down, the entire day. I called Safelite as soon as I got to work and, after an 18-minute hold, informed me there were no techs available to fix the window until that weekend. This was four days out. I accepted as this was my only option. FOURTH ATTEMPT: the tech arrived, he said he had the correct window and would have it replaced in less than 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, the tech informed me that while they did have the correct laminated glass needed, the window I actually needed was "bowed" and he didn't have this window. He informed me sometimes this "is how they're made in the factory". He assured me I would be getting a call from his manager to discuss where we go from there and no surprise, I never received a call. At this point, I have retained services from Expert Glass. They came out within 24 hours and had my window replaced in 20 minutes, not to mention they were about $40 cheaper than Safelite. They were kind and knowledgeable in their craft. I have been back in fourth with Safelite reps trying to obtain a refund for the window I never received and have yet to get any answers. I call the Conley Rd location and no one ever answers. I've called the corporate customer service number THREE times now and each time, have been told my refund request has "been escalated" and that a manager would be calling me back. Also, not surprising that this hasn't happened yet. What a joke. If you need window replacement, DO NOT GO THROUGH SAFELITE!!
