Once I gave the go-ahead, the team was scheduled and ready to go. When they arrive, it's not just a couple of workers--it's the full crew, fully equipped with rakes, shovels, leaf blowers, and more. They get right to work and are impressively fast and meticulous. Because my wife and I are both handicapped, we're unable to manage any of the yard maintenance ourselves during the fall or winter, so there was quite a bit to clean up. In fact, there were so many branches piled up that one of our visitors asked if we'd had a tree removed! One of the things I really appreciate is that they don't just pile everything at the curb--they take all the debris, leaves, and branches with them, leaving our property spotless. I've used marksman for lawn mowing for two years and have always been happy with their work. They are always on time and they make payment for service extremely easy. I recently had them come out and clean up a nasty patch over overgrown weeds and nettles in my back yard. They cleaned up all the organic debris and also took away all the broken lawn furniture that was buried in the weeds. It took them half the time I estimated. They exceeded all my expectations. My development recently used this company and they did a poor job cutting the grass and edging the the grass. They edged the grass but never came back to clean up the debris. They just left it! Yesterday, my car had the window smashed yesterday by the landscapers cutting the grass. They never reported it to the office and they only admitted it when the police were called. I spoke To Ryan who said that he deals with a glass company in Deptford an they opened at 8 AM. I called their office today and spoke to the secretary, Natasha, and the scheduler for the glass company did not come in until 10:30 AM. I called back and asked what was the status. I explained the urgency of getting my window fixed ASAP because it rained yesterday and it will rain today. My car has a trash bag over it and the glass it too small and dangerous to remove. I asked for help in getting a car rental because I had numerous appointments for the next few days. The secretary, Natasha?, said they would not pay for car rental. Strange, huh. If you are looking for a landscaper,  I would look elswhere. This company is unreliable, misleading, and unprofessional. We purchased a few cypress trees from MARKSMEN who also planted them in our backyard in April 2020. Approximately 4 weeks later, the trees began to turn brown and eventually ended up dying. MARKSMEN was not very helpful, gave poor advice and never accepted responsibility for the trees dying.  After meeting with us regarding this issue, they ultimately would not respond to our emails or phone calls. At the end of September 2020 we had the dead trees removed by another landscaper and they showed us why the trees died--MARKSMEN never removed the mesh wrap and metal wiring from the root-ball of the trees!  This was a very frustrating experience, especially because they were not very willing to rectify the situation.  Save yourself time and money, do your research on the company you hire, and read all reviews before making your landscaper selection. Hope this feedback helps someone from encountering a similar situation. read more

Marksmen Landscaping So this morning I come out to my car covered in mud by your workers. Now I know your men are working hard but it's unacceptable that when I call your business a lady picks up and tells me "they are doing their best, have a good day". Now there are scratches on the front of my car that weren't there before. My car isn't the only car that looks like this. Your guys customer service is horrible. These dudes are really out here right now - in the middle of a pandemic - moving mulch around. Huddled all close together and dumping dirt. I'm not going to post pictures cause I don't want to get the employees in trouble when it really should be the employer for putting them in this situation. Several residents in our complex are gathering outside in their front yards absolutely befuddled as to why they're here. I get that small businesses are struggling during this time but that is a systemic problem and more importantly YOU ARE NOT ESSENTIAL BUSINESS! Let alone no safe work practices are being executed here. read more

I inherited Marksmen Landscaping when my former landscaper sold over his contracts to them. They mowed our lawn for 2 seasons. They did average work for us: not great, not bad. I called them yesterday to ask for help for a friend. Her husband collapsed while doing lawn work. He has been in the ICU since. Since her lawn was 1/2 cut, I told my friend I would send my lawn guys (Marksmen) over to finish it. We weren't looking for a freebie, just looking to help a friend in a tragic situation. I called Marksmen, and was dumbfounded by their response. They refused to help this woman unless she agreed to be a seasonal customer. I again explained that this was a different and sensitive situation, and my friend just needed a hand during a very tragic situation and It would be paid for. I was again firmly told that they would not do a one time cut for her. Seasonal only. Marksmen's motto: PROFITS BEFORE PEOPLE!!! I immediately fired them. The very first call to one of their competitors, and I found an empathetic businessman who was more than happy to help, AND take my business!! read more

I am not happy with Marksmen Landscaping. They came to remove some bushes from my home and showed up at 7:30 PM with no notice. I did not even receive a call letting me know they were on there way and I was out of the house at the time. They removed 4 bushes but destroyed a bush they were not cutting. In addition, instead of disposing of the old bushes into their truck, they took them to the back of my yard and discarded them near some trees just off my property. Along with the debris they left in the woods was trash they dragged to the woods. It took a week of phone calls to get them to return and remove the debris and trash. I do not recommend this company, I have terminated my lawn services with them. read more

they must be cheap if my company hires them but let me tell you they are questionable. When they mow some spots get cut much shorter - as if they were adjusting the blade and then left it sit in one spot to long - the grass in these spots turns yellow then brown and well - then it needs to be "re-seeded"...the guys who use the leaf blowers blow everything out into the street - then the last guy thru blows it all back onto the grass...but the ones doing the weeding are the worst...I have witnessed then lying down while weeding...all of them will be on their cell phones weeding with one hand and the worst is I have seen all of them sitting on customer AC units...if I paid for these units I would sue the fat ass sitiing on mine...what the hell...I would use a different company - period read more

orst drivers of all time driving commercial vehicles. I have witnessed at least 9 seperate occasions in the last 6 months if their employees driving into traffic cutting off cars within inches of them. Ive called a couple times now but seeing that their drivers are out before the office opens im guessing most reporting unsafe drivers doesn't always get to management. I called multiple times and got a receptionist who is extremely rude abd refuses to forward my information to a supervisor. She was very combative multiple times to the point where she reluctantly picked an argument with me more than once in phone calls. They seem to absolutely not give the slightest care to theyre reputation amongst the local community. read more

They did good work but I stopped using them last year because they were not accommodating on the actual care of my lawn. It's common knowledge that when it doesn't rain, the grass doesn't grow much, and if you cut it too low, the sun will burn it out. On those occasions when my grass did not need cutting, they insisted on coming out anyway, telling me they could not deviate from their schedule. In other words, to hell with the well being of my grass, as long as they were able keep their schedule and payment for that day. Profit over quality of service. read more
